The sad puppy plush you're 90% sure is vent looks almost like a dysphoria vent, which I think being portrayed in a stuffie (if that's what you did) is pretty cool/cute/fun

Thank you! Honestly looking back I'm fairly certain it was some sort of "Why am I this way" type of situation. Very likely could've been a bad gender dysphoria day, but the other alternative was Autism Things. However those tend to go hand in hand for me, a bad sensory day makes me hyper-aware of how my clothing sits on my body, how my hair touches my neck, how my voice sounds, and then any misgendering on top of that just feels so much worse. And if I have a meltdown or resort to any harmful stims to try and snap myself out of the overwhelming feelings, it just makes me far more embarrassed/ashamed and "Why can't I just be normal".

Being able to modify myself at will with a needle and thread like you can a plushie would solve like. At least Several problems XD snip some things, sew new ones on. Sick new tattoos via embroidery and if I don't like it just take it back out! Easy.

Hi, hello, yes. Some of my posts have been a little more active recently and I've gained a few followers so just uhh. For reference I am on a slight health break lmao. I will be back eventually but mono is currently kicking my ass severely and I do not have the energy for. Genuinely anything. I'm in work and sleep only mode. If there's any asks or comments I will try and get back to you as soon as I can but if you're the type to unfollow inactive blogs, posting on here will be intermittent at best for awhile so keep that in mind. I will be back at some point, once I have the energy for drawing/posting again tho!

Just started out humping my plushies (Bors and Ector, my shark babies) an' I feel bad, what if they don't want that and I'm forcing it on them?

I'm unfortunately not POSIC (and admittedly. I am. A little stoned atm so I apologize if this doesn't make sense) so I may not be the most qualified person to reassure you here. I don't view mine as having any sentience at all beyond intentionally "playing pretend" so... they "want it" bc I decide they do. I love them and care for them and they make me happy, but ultimately to me mine Are still inanimate objects, not sentient beings, and I have the final say in anything regarding them.

But, trying to see if from the posic side of things from what I've heard from others, your plushies know you love them. I think they would want to be close to you in whatever way you want them to be. They are designed to be loved! You shouldn't feel guilty for it, no more than you should feel guilty for an innocent cuddle. Tho I know that's easier said than done, especially if you feel shame about any other aspects of sexuality. Intimacy is not something to be ashamed of but it can be very difficult to work through. (you should have seen the guilty essay I wrote when I figured all this stuff out despite this being something I've done for as long as I can remember, it takes me months to stop feeling stressed and guilty over literally any revelation about myself LMAO)

I've also seen others who use creative outlets to breathe more life into their objects by creating OCs based on them (whether that's through writing, drawing, or other creative mediums, or even just treating them as a character in your brain if you don't feel confident in your skills. Build them. Imagine what things they would like, how they would speak if they could. Look up character info sheets and try filling them out based on your object. Even memey joke answers will go a long way in forming a personality that you can use to decide how your object would react to things). Interacting with the OC can help you work through some issues or build confidence and a better bond. I may not be very familiar with object sentience but I damn sure know OCs can get a mind of their own and it's kinda similar lol

Again tho, I'm not entirely certain if any of this is helpful or just nonsense rambling but I wish you luck! If anyone else has reassurance for them that'd be very appreciated. Also your sharkies have neat names, love that!

😭 Thank you!! This really means a lot. Ironically drawing stuff for this blog got me out of a very deep art rut. I hadn't drawn a single thing I actually liked in months. I think the fact that it was so different from my usual art and that I was actually Posting It (this is the only place I post my art, so any not-plushie stuff hasn't seen the light of day lmao) helped immensely. The fact that other people enjoy it is also a bonus for sure, tho I didn't go into this expecting much attention at all. And besides that weird ass ask, I've had a lovely day actually! I sincerely hope you did as well!!
