Day 30 ± 8
Todays Goals:
- Not drink before 10:00am ✅
- Hoover the house✅
- Do washing✅
- Watch YouTube Video on Recovery✅
- Learn another module of music theory✅
- Leave the house✅
So today the morning was very sameish. Woke up, tea, cat, news, Melissa and joey, shower, get up.
Managed to have crumpets which was a massive shout!
Retired back to my quarters and did some more watching of TV. Had a bit of a look at some important things such as feline psychology (did you know a cat  brain is 90% identical to our own? Nope. Me neither). Then onto the more important things of the day.
Completed said upper tasks, and learned a few things. As well as that a life with no fabric conditioner is no life, but actually it's better to not drink at night... And apparently my entire neurochemistry is screwed. Who knew... Oh yeah, everyone! Lots more to follow.
Mother disappeared radio silent for the day however did send me a link to stopping smoking and that is what I followed up... Now I appear to have an appointment for a telephone consultation on Thursday to stop smoking. Fan-fucking-tastic.
My probation officer emailed me for the third week in a row as opposed to our prearranged phone call (as per lockdown) and rearranged. I hope this all counts as something or I'm getting a bit pissed off.
Watched briefing and heard how fucked we all are... Then... The mini person reminded me I'd promised to go climbing trees so, climbing trees it is...
---intermission---
Will update later
--------------------
We didn't go climbing trees as one of us got a nettle sting which was abruptly dealt with by a doc leaf! However he has reached a personal best in fastness because my gosh, he is fast!
Dinner will be soon, and then I intend to placate, moderate, and by then I'll have ate, and then sunset I await.

Day 30 Something +7
So to fill in from yesterday... I actually did go down with the family and socialised. A bit.
Mother cooked a great meal of beef and additional things which filled me up.
I had a hot chocolate then went to bed.
Tried watching a film but couldn't settle so ended up reading autopsy reports of famous people. It's amazing what you find online.
Teeth = evil. Family = great. Cat = precious.
Woke up today, and did the morning ritual of tea (green + lemon ginger + berry), unfortunately cat wasn't very sociable, but found Ramsays kitchen nightmares on TV which killed some time before I opened the curtains and showered, dressed, etc.
I was highly frustrated when I was told toast had been made for me as I'd had my heart set on crumpets and marmite, but can't win them all.
Did some research on mental health and why I'm such an anxiety-person... Made me anxious so read some more autopsy reports and then persisted. It was quite eye opening, but the biochemical aspect more than the practical aspect in truth.
At which point I decided it was an appropriate time to meditate... Aka sleep in front of the TV with cat and beer!
Apparently they're doing sausage and mash tonight.
Defo having a late night... So may try and stretch till 9pm!

Day 30 Something +6
Woke up at a stupid time with birds tweeting and geese geesing. There's a lake outside my bedroom and a birds nest in the rafters which is very lovely. Just not at bloody 5AM on a Sunday. My rant here, which my family have tried councilling me is incorrect, is quite simply that despite being in quarantine its still fucking Sunday on Sunday. Hence, no need to get dressed up, or be productive, or think about life... It's a day of meditation... AKA dossing in front of the TV and watching tiktoc videos (new addition admittedly).
Had a nice green tea + blackcurrant tea + lemon and ginger tea with loads of honey, and then the cat joined the 'pre getting up' slumber party, and I think she planned to rid me of the scoundrels making the early morning noise by her behaviour and pose... She didn't look impressed.
Went down and the family had decided to make bacon sandwiches which is always nice. Except I spent longer picking the bastard bacon out of my teeth than actually eating it.
I then set about on my mission of watching the entirety of Netflix and Prime Video before lockdown end!
At some point the mother of mine brought me a smoothie up, which despite making my teeth feel like someone had electrocuted my mouth (frozen fruit, not a good combo) was quite tasty.
Plan for day = do fuck all and watch films, eat, drink, attempt to socialise, sleep.
Thoughts of day = gonna grow crystals with child of house soon need to know how to make them colourful minus the food colouring, want to make a cookbook with all the recipes these big companies like Maccies and Wagamama’s is releasing for after lockdown.

Night 30 Something +5
Dream: The family ordered a Chinese and we ate it however at the end there was a plastic pot filled with what looked like spring rolls but when I opened them to get one it was actually five live hamsters. I saved them and fed them garlic and made them a makeshift cage from a broken crate. They started thriving and then I woke up.

Day 30 Something +5
Woke up in a relatively good mood, despite my well meaning family trying to make me wait longer in the mornings for a drink. Oh well, I had a cup of posh tea and grunted a few words to acquire painkillers, then went back to bed and watched TV until it was time to have a drink.
(Side Note: found recipe for Wagamama Katsu Chicken... Win)
Came down, and had said drink, some breakfast... It was quite chilled. Until the mother decided today is a 'productive day'. FFS.
Did some tidying, watched some shit on TV, pretty uneventful really!
Chinkie upcoming... I hope I get my lemon fucking chicken.
Oh and the cats not so jittery today!
Tumblr media
Here is how to make Wagamama’s staple katsu curry dish:
Ingredients
For the sauce (serves two)
2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
2.5cm piece of ginger, peeled and grated
1 teaspoon of turmeric
2 heaped tablespoons of mild curry powder
1 tablespoon of plain flour
300ml chicken or vegetable stock
100ml coconut milk
1 teaspoon of light soy sauce
1 teaspoon of sugar, to taste
For the dish (serves two)
120g rice (any type of rice you would like)
katsu curry sauce, made from ingredients above
2 skinless chicken breasts
50g plain flour
2 eggs, lightly beaten
100g panko breadcrumbs
75ml vegetable oil, for deep-frying
40g mixed salad leaves
Method
To start making the katsu curry sauce, place the onions, garlic and ginger in a pan on heat on the hob and stir them as they soften.
Next add the curry mix, before then adding the turmeric and continue to stir as the strong flavours are released.
Allow the mixture to sit on a low to medium heat for a minute or so.
Then add the flour, which will help to thicken the sauce, continuing to mix for a minute as it combines with the spices.
After watering down your chicken or vegetable stock, start slowly adding it to the mixture. Add a little bit at a time, stirring as you do so.
Once the chicken or vegetable stock as been added and stirred in, you can start to add the coconut milk. Although the recipe says to use 100ml, it is up to you how much you would like to use. The more you add, the creamier it will be. Just as with the stock, add a little bit at a time as you stir.
Next, add a little bit of a sugar and small amount of soy sauce to finish off your sauce.
Moving on to the rest of the dish, split your chicken fillet in half before turning it over in a bowl of flour, then in a bowl of lightly beaten eggs, and lastly in a bowl of panko breadcrumbs.
Once the chicken fillet has been coated in breadcrumbs, you need to deep fry it in vegetable oil, turning it over with tongs to achieve a golden colour. Executive chef Mr Mangleshot recommends being very cautious at this stage to make sure you do not burn yourself.
Before serving your dish, strain the curry sauce to ensure it is as smooth as possible.
Cook the rice, which can be any type you would like, and pour it on the serving plate.
Once your chicken is cooked, remove it from the pan with your tongs, slice it diagonally in a Wagamama-esque fashion and place it on the plate next to the rice before adding mixed leaves as well.
Finally, as Mr Mangelshot puts it, “drench” your dish in the famous katsu curry sauce for the finishing touch.

Day 30 Something +4
After having half of my jaw amputated, or so it feels, I have pretty much became feral the past couple of days. A weird pain has emerged on the side of my mouth that was left untouched, but radiates through my entire jaw bone so sleep is minimal, eating is hell and family socialising is just ghastly. I've neglected to write this (or do anything with much purpose) but today I'm thinking I should start again. Not like I'll ever publish this!
I guess my typical (prior-lockdown) response to this pain would be to go and take a bucket full of opioids, pain killers, booze etc. And now I can't. So it's learning to cope with it all again without the added substances!
Yesterday I'd agreed to go with stepdad to Birmingham to get some deckchairs my mum had brought from eBay (naturally an essential journey). It was quite nice just to remind myself there was an existing world outside of the brickwork of this house, and we had a good time.
The day before I pretty much isolated within isolationed myself and did little much. My mother convinced me to go to her work with her and help pack care packages for the local homeless population which was quite satisfying, then when I returned I just stayed in bed for the most part of the day.
Today my plans are to stay in bed, do some research on recovery which I'm being told incessantly I need to do, and then hope the dentist calls and has a magic wand to remove this f**king jaw pain!
Will update as and when the day happens!
Retrospective update - socialised with family, ate some mushy sweet potato fries, then had a hot chocolate and went to bed.

Day 30 Something + 1
So after waking up I remembered I had a dentist appointment. Now this is never typically a good thing for anybody, and I typically bite. "Due to the COVID-19 crisis" (never more frequently said words) they offered a very convayer belt styled process.
You parked, then was ushered in, and made to sanitise. One of them weird xrays which whizzes around your head was prescribed and then I was sent to a treatment room.
Trying to be brave, I answered the required questions, with two people. Now in my panic striccen state I didn't realise that these people were dental nurses until the door flies open and a very intense Eastern European lady introduces herself as my dentist.
Aside from having her pumping me full of lidocaine and trying to tear the upper quarter of my jaw from my head, it was a relatively pain free experience... Until she told me I couldn't smoke for 48h, which was, accepted very calmly!
When I got home I felt like a zombie and ended up falling asleep on the sofa. Maybe anaesthetic and alcohol isn't the best combination... Who'd have thought!
The family of mine then cooked a dinner (which looked absolutely lovely), and me being a fat bastard was faced with a true dilemma... Do I eat or do I hurt...
For the next 2 hours I was analysing food liquidisors on amazon and feeling sorry for myself.
Was asleep by 20:00!

Day 30 Something
So I'm pretty lazy and have only just decided (or convinced myself it's worth doing if I can be bothered for long enough) that I'll do a lockdown diary.
Everybody is doing them, I've seen ones from fat chavs telling everyone how they swore at neighbours, ones from arrogant arse holes who think their life of faux luxury is impressive and getting likes from their equally faux friends like moths to a bulb, one's from celebrities who 'are really struggling in their twenty gazillion pound homes complete with recording studio, swimming pool, etx'... but this is mine.
This is the diary of an alcoholic, autistic, adhd riddled addict.
So yesterday my dear mother thought it would be a great idea to go to my nans. Now my nan is cracking on in years and is going slightly senile (not that we're allowed to tell her that obv) but I attended the procession in true honorable style... OK thats a lie, I came round and chatted about plants, which I have no clue about. She was running around in a fright about everything such as 'when your mum comes she will need plants, we've got to get the plants' and 'ill have two rolls for lunch' (I'm a fat fuck and her idea of a roll is a wafer of ham, mine is a grown man's portion of pulled pork, coleslaw, cheese x2... She nearly had a heart attack 😂).
We then had dinner which despite my passionate and incredible cooking... OK reheating a lasagne and adding veg, I could not eat. Not because the food was shit, but I've just started taking a new medication (Sertraline) and aside from making you want to permenantly move into the bathroom, makes you sick as a dog. Aparrently this goes so will persist, but for a greedy fuck like me, I don't want to waste food!
At about seven I fell asleep on the sofa, to be woken at about 8 with some 1940ish music blasted from the stereo. Yes, I wanted to murder the world, but settled with pretending to stay asleep... She went to bed and that's when I started to think about all the crazy things I could do...
I fell asleep about 5 mins after.
