Reblogging to add that this was not a law that was passed via parliament, this was triggered by the Supreme Court deciding on the legal definition of a Woman, which resultantly changes the interpretations of many other laws in the uk

I took these in probably late July/early August 2023, when I was on vacation in London. I originally wanted to post three photos, but changed my mind because the third photo was a bit too blurry for my taste even though I really liked the colors of it. I also want to speak on what’s currently happening in the UK. The new law concerning trans women is such a huge step back and completely unacceptable! The fact that all these women are now overnight considered something that they aren’t, which means that they now legally aren’t allowed to use female only places and are going to be searched by a man instead of a woman if they were to be searched is insane to me! I can‘t believe that this law actually got through and that it’s not some kind of sick, transphobic joke, especially because of how much more it truly puts trans women in danger. I want to point out as well to every cisgendered woman who is celebrating or happy about this law that it will affect you too. What if a male police officer suddenly decides that a you look a bit “too masculine” for him and searches you? Nothing can nor will stop him from doing so and I hope you are aware of that.

The RAM went down easy, plunk plunk gulp. So did the CPU. The PSU was the most difficult, as it sat heaviest in my gut. The final step was the GPU, a test of endurance, swallowing it whole took close to an hour of throwing my head back like a pelican. But finally, FINALLY, everything was in place. I rested a hand on my belly and waited for the little miracle.

Only a few days later I woke up and the contractions had already started. I hurried to the hospital, calling my husband who was out of town, telling him to come as quickly as he could becuase this little PC wasn't waiting for anyone.

Pushing and breathing, that becomes your entire focus. The only thing that breaks that focus is the peircing wail of a new computer fan. Oh what a beautiful sound amongst the chaos! As the doctors handed the swaddled PC to me I hold it close, cherishing this moment. I close my eyes and feel the thrum of the fans, feel the pump of amnionic-fluid-cooled CPU.

This moment, like so many beautiful moments, would be short lived. The fans start to sputter and the red light on the top of its' fleshy case blinks on. The nurse's eyes widen in panic and they rush my new PC out of the room. Alone and terrified, I roll onto my side clutching my stomach and cry.

The door bursts open and my husdand, Linus of Tech Tips, bursts through. He sees the scene. He knows. What else is there to say?
