When it comes to Loona and Stolas bonding I have some go-to faves that I'm very fond of and often see other people exploring too, like Stolas teaching her magic or Loona helping him with fashion and stuff like that! But honestly, what I actually want to see more than anything is situations where Stolas shows Loona that he can be relied on when she's vulnerable, that he's someone who can be trusted to help her when she needs it! There are lots of big ways to show this but the smaller ways you can be there for someone matter too, so I wanted to make a sketch of Stolas being a reassuring presence for Loona in a low-stakes but still meaningful way 🥺

I wholeheartedly agree with everyone who has pointed out that Stolas believing he would die in Blitzø's place highlights how oblivious he is to his own privilege.

But I also want to talk about how Stolas wasn't the only one who genuinely believed he, a Goetia, could die in Blitzø's place.

Blitzø's agonised cries are not the cries of someone who thinks their lover is making it out alive 👀

Happy WIP Wednesday!! Thanks for the tag @fuzzandfeathers! Wanted to share an older drawing WIP that I was just recently reminded of 😊 Pride and Prejudice (2005) has always been my mom's comfort movie, and it's become one for me as well 💜 Combine that with my HB brainrot and this was basically inevitable 😅

I'm just saying, "awkward, kind of stuck-up noble falls in love with someone of lower rank who talks back to them; noble realizes they've hurt their beloved and devotes themselves to fixing it; along the way beloved realizes they misjudged the noble based on their rank and first impressions; finally they realize that they're perfect for each other" feels really stolitz-coded to me 👀👀👀👀

Looking back on this I'm pretty happy with how it was going! I stopped working on it bc I got frustrated trying to figure out the rendering, but I think I have a better handle on that now so maybe I'll try to finish it up sometime 💜

WIP Wednesday!!! I had plans to show something completely different but there's a small Stolas piece I'm working on that I was really struggling on the color test with and it recently came together in a way I like, so I wanted to share a peek at that instead!

I'm not 100% settled on it, but I feel like I'm headed in the right direction! At the moment, his expression feels a bit too much on the melancholy side - the vibe I'm going for is shy and uncertain, but in a kinda flirty way 🤔 (think "post-Sinsmas and they aren't fucking yet but they clearly want to be" vibes) Though a lot of the context is missing since I'm not showing you the pose or what he's saying - sorry! 😂 Actually, I'm not sure what I like better, Stolas kinda shyly glancing away from the 'camera' like above or:

Stolas looking at the 'camera' head-on! I think this is a nice vibe too, but it doesn't really make sense given their height difference and I'm worried it loses the 'shyness' completely 😂 If you think one looks better, lemme know! After ten straight days of 10hr work days I finally sat down and finished this piece! :)

Inspired by the story: ‘You’re perfect (and everything in between too!)’ by @blitzwhore . This scene has made me laugh since @larryisnotagirl read it out loud to me lol.

Poor Stolas is trying so hard to play it off like he didn’t just order the spiciest thing on the menu and Blitz is just sitting here totally smitten regardless.

I’m working on getting better at realizing backgrounds in my digital art as it’s never been something I’ve delved into but this piece definitely needed!
