My entire twitter feed is people in Rafah saying they’re terrified, saying their good byes, and asking us to remember them in our prayers. Rafah is facing a massacre. It’s a genocide. We will not know the number of deaths until the morning.

the thing about houses in asoiaf is they are all about self-deluding mythologies they’ve constructed to prop up their violent domination of others in this feudal order as natural, right, and unquestionable. every single one. the targaryens have theirs and the starks theirs and the lannisters theirs. but then you have the dumbest people in the world either like “the targaryens specifically are ontologically distinctly evil from every other house” or “the targaryens are rightly ordained to rule morally over westeros” and in both cases you have people in the 21st century passionately buying into the oppressive mythmaking of a fictional aristocratic class and telling people to kill themselves on twitter about it
