When we first met, you told me that you didn’t believe in forever, and that everyone has an expiration date. I was such an optimist then, arguing that you were wrong. I thought that if two people really care about one another, that things will work out, because things usually work out. You’re supposed to fight for something you care about, and God I fought so hard for us, but that was it, I was the only one fighting. Maybe that’s what extended our expiration date, but at the end of the day, I slowly watch you slip out of my hands like water I’m not meant to hold onto. Maybe we weren’t meant for forever, but if you would’ve fought for us, we could’ve lasted a lifetime instead of ending so soon.
