Ay Wing Teams Up With  Chuuwee & Shuko For New Single “Orange Dreamer”

Berlin-based, Ay Wing, returns to end the summer just right, with her latest single, ‘ Orange Dreamer.’ The newest track by Swiss-born, singer-songwriter, speaks about nostalgia; a story that highlights a journey back to oneself.

Ay Wing reminisces about her time spent in Los Angeles last summer throughout the song’s lyrics, singing, “ nothing ever stays the same, seasons changing, storm stopped raging…” The song was written while she was going through, and later recovering from, a rough patch in her life. Her latest, therefore serves both as a diagnosis, but also the cure for the troubling times she endured.

She says, “I wrote Dreamer’when I was recovering from my time in the United States while I was on tour. The song is about getting back to and finding myself again. My friend once told me that he always sees the color orange when I'm with him, so it seems to be my color,” and hence the song’s title. The track’s multi-faceted elements showcase the sincere passion and dynamic creativity that come naturally with Ay Wing’s voice and sound.

Also featuring an impressive flow and verse by American hip hop artist, Chuuwee, ‘ Orange’ shines as a collaborative effort between two of the most promising artists of the year. Working together with the 28-year-old Sacramento, California native and song-writing extraordinaire, Ay Wing says that she was reminded of what the song was meant to be about all along. “I needed to slow down, be more playful, and stay open while embracing all of life’s changes. When I first heard Chuuwee's verse, I realized his words added a component that made me fall in love with the song in a whole new way,” she continues.

Chuuwee, real name Dionte Hunter, who uses his middle name as his moniker, comments on the range of style in Ay Wing's music that made the collaborative venture an easy decision for him to be a part of. “I was super honored,” he says, “I’ve never rapped to anything like ‘ Dreamer’ before and it was really fun trying to find the best way to approach it.”  Both artists also give recognition and credit where it is due — to the song’s producer, German native, Shuko, who is responsible uplifting beat that reverberates positive energy throughout the track.

Ivan & Alyosha make a triumphant return with Single “Everybody Breaks,”

Seattle-based indie outfit Ivan & Alyosha make a triumphant return today with “Everybody Breaks,” the first taste of new music from their upcoming release, details tba. 

The song explodes out the gate with an anthem of chorus vocals, a pure slice of sunshine that embraces its straightforwardness in both subject and delivery.

The band says of the track, “’Everybody Breaks’ is a song reminding us that we are all on an even playing field. At the end of the day, we break sometimes, and that's ok. The big question is, what do you do when things fall apart?”

Ivan & Alyosha first sparked attention with their 2013 debut album All The Times We Had, followed by 2015’s It’s All Just Pretend. Paste called their music “luscious, enjoyable folk-pop” and NPR Music praised their “Beatles-esque pop harmonies and sweet melodies,” while Rolling Stone raved about their “smooth, soaring guitar pop” and American Songwriter said the band “achieve a polished west coast soul-folk sound that draws on the poppier sensibilities of McCartney songwriting.” The band toured extensively around those releases, supporting such acts as Brandi Carlile, The Head & The Heart, Delta Spirit, and more.

As their schedules maxed out, they found less time for creativity and realized a change was needed. So, the fivesome -- brothers Tim and Pete Wilson, Ryan Carbary, Tim Kim, and Cole Mauro – decided to take a slight break from the day-to-day demands of Ivan & Alyosha to regroup creatively and also spend time with their young families. With that time and freedom came perspective and inspiration, and during a gathering at Mauro’s house last year, drinking beer around a fire pit and swapping these new song ideas, they came to realize two things: one, they felt a new urge to create together; and two, that they didn’t have to go about it all in the same old ways.

Elias Boussnina shares ’Closer’ via Universal Music Denmark on June 21st, the follow-up single to his acclaimed 7-track debut EP ‘Shameboy’, released in February 2019.

Produced in collaboration with renowned Swedish music producer and friend Canto (Galantis, ODZ, MØ, Sasha Sloan), ’Closer’ brings into focus the positive impact of the female influences in Elias’s life. The young artist’s poetic, soulful vocals glide over alluring melodic beats, interspersed with delicate keys and subtle guitar riffs.

Speaking about the single, Elias said "After releasing my debut EP ‘Shameboy’ I wanted to make a more positive track and step away from the melancholy. I’ve been listening to a lot of inspirational guitar-based music like Fleetwood Mac and wanted to incorporate more organic elements into my music. I made ‘Closer’ in Sweden together with Canto. It’s a very personal track that is close to my heart, inspired by the incredible women in my life; my mom, sister and girlfriend. Their warmth and strength made the track feel like summer.”

Of Danish-Tunisian descent, Elias speaks English, Danish, Arab and French. He grew up listening to hip-hop and American soul, and first found success in 2015 under the moniker of Rap artist Yung Coke. When that project came to its natural conclusion, Elias began writing more R&B infused tracks and transforming his sound and identity into the expertly crafted art you hear today. Tracks from Elias’s debut EP ‘Shameboy’ were released to critical acclaim in Denmark and supported online globally by the likes of Complex, God Is In The TV and Colors. Amira B Unveiled A Pampering Song “Do You”

Amira B is a New York City-based R&B singer-songwriter, and “head-turner” (Jukely) with unique Russian and Egyptian roots. “Her sound blends soul, R&B, and funk, and her sultry vocals over the top take everything to a new level” (Breaking and Entering).

Amira’s independently released June 2017 debut album Defined was well received by indie blogs Atwood Magazine, AXS, and The Deli Magazine. She’s been compared to artists Joss Stone, Leona Lewis, Amy Winehouse, Beverley Knight and Corinne Bailey Rae (Songwriting Magazine). 2018 was a transitional year for Amira, full of self-growth and shifting to a more urban sound. Elias Boussnina Unveiled Dazzling single ‘Bring The Pain’ feat. UnoTheActivist

Today, via Universal Denmark, Elias Boussnina shares ‘Bring The Pain’ featuring UnoTheActivist, the forth track, taken from Elias debut EP ’Shameboy’, set for release in February 2019.

Elias drops a brooding soulful vocal over dramatic electro-synth beats, the result is an irresistible brand of RnB that draws us in from the offset. Lyrically ’Bring The Pain’ continues to focus on the destructive impact of infatuation and addiction, two reoccurring themes that are present throughout the EP. ’Bring The Pain’ was produced by Louis Winding (Nelly, Brandy, Outlandish), as well as written and co-produced by Elias himself.

Speaking about the track Elias said “Bring The Pain is about feeling unable to keep yourself away from something you clearly know isn’t good for you, you keep returning to it because it feels great in the moment, but you know deep-down that it will all come crashing down in the end.”

It’s a sound hard not to love, pitch perfect heartfelt vocals underpinned by a rhythmical soundscape of rolling percussion and pounding synth beats. The final verse features acclaimed Atlanta-based rapper Uno The Activist, who, on hearing ‘Bring The Pain’ being presented to Republic Records in New York was hooked “He liked the track so much, we decided he had to jump on it for the last verse” said Elias.

The rising pop star is ready to kick start the new year with the fresh single; "Any Other Way", written with Joonas Angeria and Amanda Cygnaeus. The writing process started in Stockholm and was completed it in Helsinki, where it was also recorded. Jens explains:

“I wrote ‘Any Other Way’ in Stockholm together with two great talented songwriters. The day I was writing with them I woke up with fever and first considered if I had to cancel. Today I'm glad I went to the studio that day. The song is about me accepting that you don’t always have control over things that happen in life and how it's important to make the most of things even if it looks dark.”

Jens is definitely a productive artist and has been in writing sessions with Askjell Solstrand & Simen Hope (Sigrid), Alida, Petter Tarland (Avicii, Daniel Adams Ray), Gavin Jones (Zara Larsson) to mention a few. LINK LEWIS IS BACK WITH A SMOOTH SINGLE ‘AM I IN’

Following press acclaim and thousands of Spotify streams for his debut single Foundation in late 2018, UK RnB singer-songwriter Link Lewis is back today with a mellow, jazzy new futuresoul single. Am I Inis available on all streaming platforms now and fires up smoky beats, velvet vocals and blasts of jazzy sax alongside soulful pop melodies.

“I’m sure plenty of people will find Am I In relatable,” explains the young artist about the new track. “It’s about attraction and curiosity, that difficult decision - deciding whether to cross the line of friendship to see if a deeper connection exists. I’m really happy I could bring the sax into this song. I think it really adds a groove and atmosphere to the sound. I’m a multi-instrumentalist so it’s cool to get all of the instruments I play in a single track. I love layering my vocals in the studio and playing around with different harmonies. I’ve been listening to a lot of Lauryn Hill and D’angelo so it’s kind of hard not to take inspiration from them vocally.”

Taking inspiration from all branches of the tree, the Link Lewis sound blends the buttery tones of jazzy RnB with the slick hooks and pounding grooves of hip-hop and modern pop. With a wealth of experience both writing and producing music in multiple genres, he’ll be releasing a string of new singles in 2019.

Aron Blom's Latest Track “Low Low Low” Is Inspiration.

There is definitely no shortage of new and promising acts to come out of Scandinavia these days, but an artist like Aron Blom, with a voice like his, doesn't come along very often. When Aron sings, everything stops and everyone listens.

As the son of the guitarist in one of Sweden's most popular bands, music has always been an integral part of Aron's life. He has already established himself as a strong songwriter with several Scandinavian successes to his name, and he has attracted a loyal following on social media through intimate live performance videos, despite having no studio recordings of his own. But that changes today; Aron Blom's debut single "Low Low Low" is available now on all streaming platforms.

"Low Low Low" opens with acoustic guitar strums and Aron's rich, warm voice. Each line is bookended with low, rhythmic hums that set the scene: a march toward enlightenment and empowerment. Aron's glorious baritone then soars over the chorus like a rallying cry, propelled forward by powerful drums and a swarm of beautiful background vocals. With enrichment from sparse electronic details, it's a song you could hear on pop radio, but not one that would fit easily into a box.

"In one way, 'Low Low Low' is about the diametrically opposite thoughts we have in our heads simultaneously," Aron says. "Meaning, we feel stuff, but we also feel the opposite at the same time. I feel fear and anxiety... but I can also turn it around and feel hope and curiosity, depending on how I look at it. There is a darkness in everything, and there is light as well."
