Listen, the absolute best thing about Kirk and Spock’s dynamic in Star Trek: The Original Series, is the fact that when it aired, queerbaiting was literally not a thing that existed. The writers and producers would not have even fathomed of doing that shit on actual purpose. Which means that all of that homoerotic tension was totally unplanned and completely organic. Just a happy fucking accident. A byproduct of bomb ass on-screen chemistry. And I just think that that’s really fucking rad.

I think we should talk about this more often like...

It's actually crazy to have this contrast between Mileven and Byler shown in the same episode if you think about it. They're literally throwing it straight in our faces that Mike's fight with Will upsets him so much more and is more serious to him than his fight with El (that lead to a break up up mind you). Like what do you mean Max tells El that Mike is gonna crawl back to her, desperately trying to apologize because according to Max that's what boyfriends do after a fight but then Mike does in fact do that but... not for his girfriend but for his best friend. Biking to the other side of Hawkins in the pouring rain immediately after the argument to beg for Will's forgiveness.

The Duffers were actually crazy for this.

Sometimes mistagged fics bring me immense anger bc come on you should know what your fic is about, and then I see what should be Medium -can see and speak to ghosts tagged instead as Mediator -decidedly NOT the same word or even a synonym, and remember that time I used Concurred instead of Conquered for an entire fic, I'm reminded that sometimes humans are stupid and language is dumb and we're all just trying out best out here
