Sonic Garden

(This has been brewing for ages in my brain and I'm actually really excited to try and get this event going. Thank you @nodulemodule for actually coming up with the name!)

This June, in celebration of our favorite Blue Blur who himself loves to slow down and smell the wildflowers every now and again, I would like to propose the Sonic Garden. The goal of Sonic Garden is to, through a united affection for the Sonic story and characters, share information about plants! Any type of plants! All types of plants! And all types of information too! If you wish to infodump about the edible, medicinal, magical, and/or symbolic background of a plant, feel free!

And you can participate in any way you wish! If you want to use a photo and some figures/props/digitally edited in aspects, sure! If you want to draw the entire thing, go for it! If you would rather just write a short piece, feel free!

For example:

Sonic and dandelions! Did you know that Dandelions can be found all over the globe? The only place they don't seem to like is Antarctica.

I guess if Sonic wants to enjoy a dandelion salad as he watches glaciers float by full of peckys and rockys, he's just going to have to bring his own.

(If you are going to use a picture of the plant, make sure there are no people in frame and nothing that would endanger or expose anyone involved! Your privacy is valuable!)

I just had to draw this when I heard the big news!

Bro I still can’t believe Keanu Reeves is gonna voice Shadow, I was so hyped for the movie before and now it’s been intensified like Shadow’s annoyance when he was searching for his damn fourth Chaos Emerald.

What details/characteristics do you absolutely love seeing in Shadamy fanfics?

For me its when:

1) Shadow and Amy tease each other as a way to show their feelings without confessing.

2) How they’re able to have deep conversations that can last for hours, which stems from both of them being comfortable and content around one another.

The first chapter of a brand new shadamy Hades and Persephone fic!

Hades knows how dangerous it could be to fall for the goddess of Spring. However, when she crosses the River Styx seeking asylum from her mother, Hades has little choice but to shelter her. To protect her as best he can from the gods on Olympus and the horrors in the deepest reaches of Tartarus.

She brings a light with her to the Underworld, one he hasn't seen in eons. The longer she stays by his side, the more he wishes she could stay. But they both know a goddess of life has no place in the land of the Dead.

I had a lot of fun playing around with the colors and kinda trusting the process, also made a rough 4 panel comic to go with it basically just before the events of the drawing.

My take on 💫Super Amy!💫

I figured if Chaos Emeralds are able to change one's fur color and eye color, then surely they could transform their clothes too! Went with a goddess/magical girl/bride motif.

I had been meaning to draw this for years, but @askisabellasparkes question gave me the perfect opportunity to fully design her. Thanks for the question!

Prompts will be released the 1st of June! Rather than poll for new prompts, the prompts for ship week this year will be drawn from previous entries!

There is also something I have had brewing for a long time that will be launching in JUNE. Keep your ears open for more news coming in MAY.
