I’ve never had issues with orders from them before, but now with the Pride Knights order I made June 1 (that Shopify last lists as On Its Way on June 20 despite no shipping confirmation email), I cannot find out where my purchase is or even get any kind of response from Pride Knights.

I dunno if anyone else who ordered is having these same issues, but… definitely feels like they’ve vanished entirely?

SGDQ 2025 - Metroid: Zero Mission

Alright, so, beta 1:

Wayfarer Foothills (I always get it and Snowden mixed up) and I believe our only races at the time may have been human and norn? The big final event at the close of the beta involved a map-wide boss hunt where a giant zerg of super low level players went after some seriously overpowered bosses. (I later found out this was called The Great Critter Hunt, consisting of Champion Bloodthirsty Black Moa, Veteran Brutish Deer, Veteran Murderous Rat, Veteran Vicious Pig, Salivating Raccoon, and one other...)

But the most dangerous and deadly of the bosses was the one that spawned in Issormir's arena.

The Legendary White Rabbit.

This thing could one-shot anybody with its sheer power alone even as all the players went to town on that thing. It was the deadliest foe ever witnessed in Tyria, and death meant running all the way back up the stairs to the Issormir arena.

Beta 2:

Now we had charr thrown into the mix with human and norn. The ending event here was in the Plains of Ashford, where the Shatterer oversaw the invasion of the plains by Branded forces. Waypoints were covered in branded crystal, and as players fell against the Branded they became Branded themselves which led to the whole thing also becoming a PvP event. The corruption spread further and further, and as things got worse you'd actually have some of Destiny's Edge showing up in the field to help fight back.

It was a losing battle, of course, because inevitably more and more players died, became Branded, and fought the surviving players to turn them also into Branded. It was honestly the most amazing and memorable of the events they did, and I'd love if there was ever a way to revisit it. That was some of the most tense pvp and survival I've ever done in any game.

Beta 3:

Here we had all races available, and we saw the event that would become the precursor to Southsun Survival much further down the road. It was in Metrica Province, all of us had our classes and outfits changed, and you had to contend with both limited resources and a hunger mechanic that would slowly kill you. It was a team-based thing more than what Southsun Survival turned out to be, and it was muuuuch slower paced since you had the entirety of Metrica to work across in gathering supplies and hunting down your enemies.

I was downright awful at this one, to say the least lol. And uh... it was impossible to actually coordinate because EVERYONE heard what you were saying. I think I got elimintated pretty early on, and then you turned into this little golem dude for your team to try and help them out for the rest of the event. (My team... did not win lol)

Not to be a bitch but sometimes people engage with fiction in the most boring way possible, and nowhere is this clearer than in videogames. Like what you mean you hate a character just because they were kind of abrasive when speaking to the player character? "They were mean to me" and it didn't occur to you to wonder why? Like, what might their attitude toward you reveal about the world? About the social dynamics within it? About their own perspectives and backgrounds and personalities? Does it even occur you to ask? Would you only have liked them if they bowed to your presence and talked about how great you are? Like I'm sorry but you're so boring. How boring fiction would be if it cathered to you

This final draft sat incomplete for almost a year in my Docs due to just a tanked mental health due to a lot of things happening all when I was trying to type it up back last July… and so while the quality of it definitely leaves much to be desired in my eyes, I can at least say it’s finally done and I can move on with other writing.

I ended up revamping the second-to-last section with help of EbonKhada and our RP stuff (since I was super dissatisfied with how it originally turned out in the rough draft), and I’m glad I can finally just… save up this rough draft and try to get along further with writing out the saga of my Pact Commander.
