Plush Cuttlefish
Here it is! The finished cuttlefish! Pattern by me.

The original goal was to have the whole thing be just over 12 inches, but the pieces were too small and fiddly. It's 20 inches long, and the mantle is 8.5 inches wide. Size reference:

It's made out of a variety of minky fabrics. The eyes were custom painted. I don't have my own tags or anything, so this guy got the narrowest, least obtrusive, tag I could find in the house.
I've been working on this--slowly--for months. I poured a lot into this project. I knew absolutely nothing about cuttlefish before I started., and now I know a tiny bit more. They're such cool creatures!
These species were what I was drawing on mostly: Sepia officinalis, Sepia apama. I started with three species in my initial planning. By the end, it veered sharply toward Sepia officinalis (common cuttlefish). Maybe one day I'll make another with more of the Sepia apama (giant cuttlefish) coloring?
If you have any questions, or want to see more pictures, feel free to ask!

Purple Baby Stegosaurus

[Image description: Three photos of a plushie baby Stegosaurus. Its body is light purple, beak and thagomizer are dark purple, and plates are a gradient starting at light purple by the head and ending at dark blueish-purple by the tail.]
This was a custom request! It was handmade by me using my own baby Stegosaurus pattern.

Stegosaurus Plushies
I know posting dinosaur art on the internet can be kicking a hornet's nest, but oh well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Here are some baby Stegosaurus plushies I made a while ago! (Pattern is also by me and is not free to use.)

More notes:
Originally, I wanted to make an adult Stegosaurus stenops as realistically as possible given my skill level--I had only been working with minky/plush making a few months before I decided to start this project, so not too realistic. After a few months of researching, drawing, and planning, I realized it would have to be fairly big to fit all the parts in well. I'm not living in a large enough space to keep giant plushies around at the moment, so I pivoted a bit. I made the pattern smaller and simpler, and I tried to make it look more like a baby. (I got some baby Chasmosaurus plushies as a kid, and I'm pretty sure that influenced my decision to switch to making a babier version lol.)
I looked at a LOT of skeletal reconstructions in my research stage. I'm sure some of them are out of date now, but I did try to focus on the more modern ones. If anyone is interested in a post about more of my process, let me know! I assume that part is pretty boring to most people, but I could be wrong.
As you can probably tell, I was still modifying the pattern and tweaking things when I made these. If I return to this pattern in the future, I will probably tweak things some more, haha.
I've been itching to make another one of these lately, but I need to finish my cuttlefish and kentrosaurus patterns first.
