Villain Stolas is his natural state.

Stolas writing has always been weird to me.

Viv and co really sat up there and made a main character have a negative trifecta of sexual extortion, adultery, and child neglect, but still wanted the audience to sympathize with him despite those glaring issues.

And it's obvious that sympathy is the goal because she has said as much at cons, her tweets, youtube interviews, what she chooses to favorite on social media, and the very framing of his character on the show.

What makes no sense is why pour all these negative traits into one character(a lead at that),but still make him the love interest and a character we're supposed to root for to see eventually happy?

Even so,if she pivots in season three to making Stolas an antagonist it would be quite easy to do because technically that is what she has actually written him as, and the the narrative meat this would give his three victims- and the wider story-would be astronomical.

Just think of the meat we could get with villain Stolas-and especially since he does have some small sympathetic qualities to him-good lord it would blow up the fandom.

Think of Blitz having to kill him in the season three finale, his sadness about it, but also we witness his catharsis because of the sexual abuse.

Via would also be affected, and even with an added layer of pain if they were still estranged.

And honestly even Stella would get a view.

Maybe she smiles at the news that his lover, that he committed infidelity with, is also his killer.

But then her smile fades as it hits her that Stolas is dead.

She wanted this fate for him but he was also the man she spent 18 years with and had his baby..... Just think of the angst and characterization meat of that for Stella.

Then we can also have the rest of IMP, Paimon, Vassago, Oz, and Fizz reactions too. As well as hell itself since he was a former prince, now traitor, that was killed by the "hero" Imp etc...

My god what we could have if Viv would let Stolas march to the drum he was made for and finally let her yaoi fetish go.

It's pretty obvious she didn't mean for Full Moon to start the trajectory of the fan favorite turning into the most hated character in the fandom, but she also has no one to blame for that swift turn but her poor execution.

Because she has heavily fucked up if the guy who sexually abused the main character, remorselessly and repeatedly committed infidelity, and neglected and abandoned his own child for an affair, is genuinely supposed to be seen as one of the good guys.

Nevertheless if this writing turns out to be actually on purpose then she has indeed made one hell of a twist villain.

Miscellaneous:

Stolas full form is the only one in both shows that actually looks demonic. It's literally not even in the color scheme of the of the show. It's a brilliant villainous demonic design. Lucifer-king of hell(my behind)could never...

Bryce can bring the pipes needed for a Stolas villain song.We even saw it with his fake Mastermind track. He has a magnificent voice in general so he can do villian stolas justice.

"If he's only here as a prisoner, what kind of monster does that make me." That tone change. Good lord. And that's not even the first time he's done serious,regal sounding stolas i.e. season one.See we can have an antagonistic, stately voiced Stolas again, and his actor absolutely has the chops for it.

Let the yaoi go, Viv.

This is plot manipulation if I've ever seen it.

Let me be clear, making Stella abusive is not the issue. The issue is the pandering the narrative does to Stolas here. Stolas is shown to us as a bright-eyed, sensitive kid. Stella, as a child as young as Stolas and in the same position as him, is shown to us as a violent and malicious heathen. It goes out of its way to establish, before they've even met, that Stella is the abuser and Stolas is the poor victim.

Viv says she was inspired by Bojack Horseman. As a HUGE fan of BH, I think her and the other writers really missed the mark. For reference, let's look at Bojack and his abusive mother Beatrice, both as children.

Do you see the difference? Do you see the way it's emphasized that they both started out as just children in shitty situations?

And they still maintain that Beatrice was a monster. They humanize her without excusing her behavior. They humanize Bojack without excusing his behavior. No one starts off as a bad person, but the fact that the HB writers try to hammer in that Stella from the start was an irredeemable monster while Stolas is the sole victim throughout his entire life doesn't sit well with me

So don't be telling me that bird bitch AKA Stolas actually loves him when the only thing that he talks about in season one is sex. I don't feel bad for him. Stop trying to make me feel bad for him when this is all his fault. I'll say this again. AUTISTIC It's not an excuse. So no hb/hh fans autism shouldn't be an excuse for his awful behavior and actions. Reminder hb/hh fans autistic people can be awful people too and do horrible things. Being 100% honest here, if I saw someone’s favourite character was Valentino or wore the merch of Val. I would avoid them like the plague.

I mean it pretty much shows me how much they care about victims.

And not stereotyping all the Val fans I met were so insufferable. Show a small inch of empathy for Angel? Expect to be blocked lol.

My main problem is that the villains of season one were Adam and all of heaven. Now that Heaven’s defeated and Lucifer is at the hotel, what can Vox even do? He’s an overlord against the KING AND PRINCESS OF HELL. Nothing he can do will amount to anything. Plus, Valentino mentioning that Alastor “almost beat him that one time”, Alastor saying “he’d be powerless without the other Vee’s”, and Vox getting defeated and humiliated in his own villain song just adds onto the narrative that Vox is pathetic and not as strong as he says he is. With that being the case, what could he do that would match or be stronger than HEAVEN? Or even LUCIFER? Wasted villain in my opinion, he could’ve been a fantastic villain if he weren’t having to follow up Adam and Heaven. Oh well."

Im a critic and I agree you provoked Viv. Critiquing is different from using your personal experiences to hate something with, and I agree Stolas sucks, but what you started doing is inappropriate. Viv is also a victim. She was forcefully kissed by someone. I am also a victim. But you need to know not every victim is your vision of your perfect victim portrayal.

I responded a bit snappily due to her tone and being told to fuck off; our conversation became less heated the moment her tone got kinder. I told her I appreciated her for that, while still fundamentally disagreeing with her portrayal of the topic. I apologize for any rash or cruel things said in haste, but I was (and still am) frustrated with her constant dismissal of victims.

While assault is terrible regardless of its extremities, being forcefully kissed is not on the same level as being coerced into a sexual relationship. Not all victims/survivors have the same experiences and acknowledging that does not rob Vivzie of her victimhood. The truth of the matter is, the woman has never been financially pressured into having sex with someone, and she comes from a rich, privileged background. She does not have the experience of being so poor that she is forced into selling her body to survive.

There is no such thing as a 'perfect victim,' but Stolas is never acknowledged as a rapist or even coercive by the narrative. Instead, the writing expects you to see poor manipulation and rich class coercion as the same crime when it isn't. Infact, the writing tries to push that Blitz could've said no at any time, when this is fundamentally untrue. It is because of Vivzie's privilege that we're meant to perceive it this way... when anyone who has been in that situation or has been oppressed in even a remotely similar way can see the flaws with this narrative. Stolas is a victim of the monarchy, but he has never been a victim of Blitz. This is where the issue lies: assault can happen to anyone, but privilege is exclusive.

you know one thing around Blitzo’s dream vision in sinsmas nonsensical is how he barely interacted with Octavia or form some kind of dynamic with her so he has no real reason to envision her as being apart of his family let alone his step daughter.

You are right, Blitzø and Octavia barely interact. When they do its one of those “wrong place at the wrong time.” However, it is interesting yet sweet that Blitzø does include Octavia because he could’ve pretended that she didn’t exist. Meanwhile, Stolas’ smut fanfic is about Blitzø.

Hazbin and Helluva are still indie. They still belong to Viv, and she has COMPLETE CONTROL over her shows. It’s just that Amazon is another place for it to air its still on Youtube and still again being COMPLETELY OWNED by Vivziepop.

Sorry Anon but Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel aren’t indie anymore. Those two shows officially sold their souls to Daddy Amazon. The whole point of indie animation is that it is independent. You are not only in complete control of your project but you also do your own funding (i.e paying out of your pocket). Being indie you aren’t backed up financially from a big company.

The reason why TADC is still indie is because Glitch is in full control of said project and are independently funding everything. Netflix is not involved at all, they only get to stream TADC on their platform. Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss aren’t indie because they are getting backed up by their sugar daddy, Amazon.

Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel’s indie privileges are gone and revoked 😂. Also if you outsource your animation you aren’t indie either. It defeats the whole purpose of being independent.

For a long time, I was confused by the fact that Stolas, knowing how abusive his wife is, quite calmly lets Octavia see her.

And then, when he found out that Stella had hired a hitman to kill him, he didn't discuss it with his daughter (and didn't make this fact public at all, although it was very necessary. Like, seriously, who stopped him from saying at the trial that Stella tried to kill him?).

Like, you stupid owl, don't you realize that by not telling your daughter about how dangerous her mother is, you're putting her (Octavia) in danger? After all, if Octavia doesn't know that Stella can harm her, that makes her (Octavia) a very easy target.

And again, an example of what a «good» father Stolass is.
