ok so.  im gonna switch up the Style of my multi since im obviously hating this.  im gonna have a few blogs as a side blog for characters i rlly like writing attached to a hub blog just to keep shit separate.

"fight me." felix is here, once again, to demand battle from his teacher. only moments later does it occur to him to tack on a vaguely-polite, "professor." and, "i'm going to win this time."

byleth’s ears perk up upon hearing footsteps  ,  but truly pays felix no mind until he approaches the table  ,  &  byleth looks up from his book to listen.  surely  ,  if felix were approaching him now  ,  it was important.

at least  ,  the professor  assumed  it was.

the offer of a spar  ,  or as felix so put it  ,  to  fight him  ,  makes byleth crack a smile  ,  &  he quietly places his bookmark before standing.

‘ you seem quite confident in that. ’ 

a slight  quip  as he leaves the dining hall  ,  motioning for felix to follow him to the training grounds.  he hadn’t made his name as a mercenary cleaning up after his father  ,  after all.  shrugging off his coat  ,  he draws a training sword from the rack  ,  offering one to felix as well  ,  twirling it loosely between his fingers. 

‘ if you’re so sure you’ll win, go ahead then.  your move. ’

the shade turns the thing over & over in his hand,  uncertain what to make of the gesture.     why would she go through the trouble for him?     why the hell would she even  care?     golden eyes narrow faintly as a scowl twists pale lips behind the facade of his helmet,  which he  STILL  can’t seem to get off.     damn  it.

“  … i don’t get it,  aqua.     what’s  WITH  you?  ”     vanitas lets the wayfinder slip down in his grasp,  catching it by the cord & holding it up so the light of the great hall shines through the red glass panes.     “  do you think  terra  &  ventus  will appreciate you including me in your little club?  ”

‘ i care about you.  it’s as simple as that. ’ 

gently  ,  aqua’s hands are clasped before her  ,  watching the wayfinder  dangle  from the cord in his grasp.  she  cares  ,  &  as long as he’s here  ,  as long as he  wants  to be here  ,  she’ll care whether he wants her to or not  ,  whether anyone  says  she should or shouldn’t.

‘ and.....if they have a problem with it, which i doubt they would, that’s their problem to deal with. ’ 

her voice is  firm  ,  resolved even  ,  she’s decided to care  ,  &  nothing will change her mind.  he belongs here  ,  if he wants to  ,  he can have a home here like the rest of them.  she’d make sure of it.

they all deserve the things they want these days.
