Hey everybody! I know it's been a hot minute since I've shown signs of life, I hope I didn't worry anybody! I'm alive and doing pretty alright!

I took a big step back from most things having to do with the internet this past year (or maybe it's been two years? Who knows) for the sake of my mental and emotional health. Anybody who sent in a sigil request through my ko-fi that I wasn't able to complete, you should have received your refunds already some time ago, if you haven't please let me know.

This isn't me coming back to sigil making requests, I want to clear that up right away. I've been working at a new job since last year and most of my energy has been and will be focused on that until I'm roughly where I want to be free-time-wise.

I won't promise that my online presence will ever be what it was before, because back when I was able to be active almost every day I was in high-school or early college, and I've long since come to the realization that this blog was made to be a hobby, but at some point it became and obligation, which isn't an escalation I should've allowed.

Going forward I won't promise to complete all requests sent in, and I won't always give an answer or reason on why I don't want to make certain ones.

I'm turning off paid commissions on my ko-fi till the summer of next year (2024).

If you send or sent in a request and it looks like it'd be fun to make, I'll probably make it when I feel like making it and post it here as usual, maybe I'll even make some on stream once in a while.

But for the most part I'm trying to focus on life in the real world in front of me, building my life into something that's truly mine, and helping the people around me in my life to make up for all the help they've given me.

I'll probably be answering asks later today just to chat and catch up and maybe talk some magic theory on stream with anybody who wants to join me! I'll post a time once I see what's going on after work.

Basic Elements of Energy Work

Energy work is the ability of a person to control unseen energies. Almost all basic pagan/Wiccan/New Age/witchcraft exercises deal with energy work. Here is a short list of some of the things a young witch should learn.

Grounding. It’s extremely important. You may think it will be fun to carry around a lot of elemental energy - you will quickly change your mind. Grounding is the ability to get excess energy out and ground yourself back in reality. This is especially important if you want to work with dreams, spirits, or visions.

Centering goes hand-in-hand with grounding. As a magical practitioner, you do stuff that leaves your energetic body out of sorts. If you are working with real magic, there is also a chance your grasp on reality can be shaken. Centering is a focus on your physical body that gathers all your loose bits and reforms your energetic body back in to its natural shape. Combine it with grounding to get back to the real world.

Shielding is a basic energy work exercise that is also pretty danged important. Learn to shield yourself and how to place shields around other things, people, and locations. This is a vital element of protection.

Charging is the act of filling an object with energy. You can passively charge things by leaving them around natural elements, but you need to learn how to actively charge something as well.

Programing is the process of giving energy a ‘job’. Programing energy is the basis for all spellwork. When you dress a candle, you are filling it with energy and then programing that energy to do a job for you.

I can think of a page-full of ways to use this sigil, so I'll put only a couple here, but as always I encourage everybody who uses my sigils to feel free to get creative with how you use it, because the possibilities are limitless.

You can keep this in your workspace you use to practice the thing you wish to improve on You can keep this on yourself You can put this on a cup of coffee or other drink You can draw or tape this onto a mirror you use frequently

Keep this sigil somewhere on you, preferably your wrist. Keep this sigil somewhere in your bathroom, around the toilet Keep this sigil in your kitchen somewhere

Your life and your ability to function are so much more important than looking thinner. Take it from somebody whose struggled with eating disorders on and off since childhood.

Draw this sigil on yourself, or carry it with you when you go out in public. Alternatively you can burn this sigil into ash and carry the ashes in a small bag with you or lightly dust yourself with them before going out.
