I’m not really pressed by the ‘death of the monoculture’ vis-a-vis television/movies/pop music but I am worried about governments and companies doing what they can via economic pressures to destroy basically all the interesting subcultures.

I guess the end goal is that we just all sit scrolling through ai-created sludge on our phones all day and never talk to another person again?
