𝒽ow to live the shoujo romance life : a guide ୭ ˚. ᵎᵎ habits, skincare, haircare, makeup, friends, love life advices etc ++
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
do you ever wish you could just teleport into the world of the kdrama/shoujo romance anime you are watching? those soft scenes, where everything somehow looks so romanticised and beautiful. vibrant colours, flowers, cute outfits, electric personalities, yummy food, face masks, quick calls, cute texts, journalling, late night study sessions.. this can be your life. you just have to make a few adjustments here and there.
let's think about it. what is it that those main characters do that make their lives seem so exciting? they wake up, do their skincare, makeup, have a healthy breakfast, and do you see them mindlessly scrolling on their phones, going through reels? nope. excatly. then they leave for school, where maybe you'll see them listening to music while staring out the window. then at school, they pay attention in class, spend time with their friends talking about random stuff, walk around, sneak letters into their crush's locker.. then they come home, study, talk to their friends, go outside, put a facemask on, read comics... do you see them doomscrolling or procrastinating? no. EXACTLY!!!! so i hope you have figured out the first step. the first step is to take action and live in the real world rather than in your head.
small habits to include in your daily life (๑>؂•̀๑) :
start your mornings with some upbeat songs listen to any song, any genre, as long as it makes your soul dance with glee. dance a bit but ofc don't get too carried away.. u still have to get ready for school! personal tip : i like to listen to cute jpop and kpop songs while i get ready as it makes me feel sooo giddy and main character-ish. i also set alarms throughout my getting ready process to make sure that i don't get too carried away.
take cold showers in the morning (if u can) morning showers are wonderful, especially when it's hot and you have school. cold showers are even better. if you are someone who feels extremely groggy in the mornings, try taking a cold shower, it'll wake you up! healthier version of coffee ig hehe. also it doesn't have to be a full body everything shower, you can do that after school. but for the morning, put on a shower cap (don't wet ur hair or shampoo it unless it's necessary as overwashing ur hair can damage it), and just wash ur body. shave if necessary. esp wash the areas that are sweaty, cuz that's wear most of the evil bacteria resides!
have a signature scent pretty self explanatory, go to a store where you can get perfumes and pick one you like the most! it doesn't have to be overly expensive, just buy smth simple & subtle for daily use. smelling good is genuinely so so so attractive and will make you feel so confident.
if you like something, invest your time learning about it for eg, if you like listening to music a lot, try to not just mindlessly listen to music, but choose certain artists and go thru their entire discography or even check out where they are from, what languages they speak, when they started singing. know about what you love. be mindful of how you spend your time!
lastly, be mindful and observing + lessen ur screentime okay cutie, it's time to put your phone back into your purse or pocket or wtv. be where your feet are. observe your surroundings. where are you? how old are you? what's your favourite color? do you see anything that's in your favourite color? look at the sun shine between the leaves. go to a park and listen to the chattering of people. pet a stray animal. call yourself pretty. radiate love !!!!!!!!!!!!!
taking care of your appearance ⋆˚𝜗𝜚˚⋆
taking care of yourself and being well groomed is a crucial part of feeling like the main character that you already are. here are some tips for skincare and haircare. pls note that i am not an expert. 𝓈kincare - find a good simple skincare routine : cleanser, serum, moisturiser, sunscreen. make sure it suits ur skin type and skin concerns. don't just buy skincare simply because they are expensive, look at the reviews of real customers! + NEVER EVER SKIP SUNSCREEN. shave your skin properly, watch video tutorials before doing it. for normal skin types : have a light simple skincare which isn't too drying or too oily. cetaphil, cerave are good options. for dry skin types : focus on hydration for oily skin types : focus on oil control. use blotting papers. for combination skin type : choose skincare which is meant for your skin please, ik its confusing at times but check if the skincare product can be used by combination skin type before buying it. for sensitive skin : stay away from fragrances.
𝒽aircare - again, find a suitable haircare routine : oil ur hair with coconut oil, use organic aloe vera gel, and find shampoos & conditioners which match ur hair types and concerns. personally i love Dove shampoos and conditioners, they leave my hair feeling so soft and frizz free and it's totally budget friendly. also conditioner tip : leave it on for atleast a minute. + scalp massage everyday. don't wash your hair with hot water, please please please use lukewarm / cold water instead. also do not overbrush your hair, even that can cause breakage. try braiding your hair before going to sleep, or sleep in a bonnet. don't use heat on ur hair w/o a heat treatment. there are many heatless hair curling tutorials on youtube and pinterest, so if you want cute beach waves, check them out! 𝓂akeup - find a cute, soft and natural looking makeup routine. smth that makes you look like a prettier YOU, without completely changing your features. focus more on skincare than makeup, because healthy skin is way way livelier than foundation or concealor. use a blush to achieve that flushed just-bumped-into-someone-cute look. curl your lashes, use a lash serum (optional) and then put on mascara, it makes a huge difference. use a blotting paper if your skin looks too oily at some places, it looks better (than using powder). check out youtube channels like dear peachie and even on pinterest there are amazing makeup tips and tutorials. have a true beauty moment and spend a week or a month perfectly your makeup skills. + also try facial massages, they really do make a difference. my fav channel for facial massages is DN Beauty Natural. imp !!! please do not sleep in your makeup, always remove it before going to bed. lifestyle : friends, academics, love life ( ˶°ㅁ°) !! having friends or people to talk to is an important part of your daily life. did you know that isolating yourself can cause many many problems to both your physical and mental wellbeing? so from now on, let us surround ourselves with lovely people, people who make us feel happy and let us not isolate ourselves anymore, okay? ★ try to compliment atleast one person daily. ★ if you end up making eye contact with someone, smile at them. ask a friend how they have been. ★ if you have the time, either plan an irl hangout date or an gameplay date night. ★ host a sleepover. it doesn't have to be fancy, just homely. ★ keep secrets and promises. ★ listen more, try not to make everything about yourself. ★ don't take things too personally. ★ to be cringe is to be free. so even if you think your true self is cringe or wtv, try not to mould yourself into someone you are not just to fit in. you'll end up attracting the wrong crowd and you'll later feel like you can't be yourself anymore and that'll just cause more problems.. ★ quietly cut off people who are rude, mean, put others down, takes behind everyone's backs, is racist etc etc u get me right? it doesn't have to be extremely dramatic and huge, just quietly mute them on social media and at school/work place just try to avoid them. but if you bump into them, greet them and move on.
maybe not all kdramas and animes have smart academics driven main characters BUT imagine being both pretty and smart. isn't that so cool? ★ find a study method that sticks with you. it could even be a totally new one that you come up with. ★ always attempt previous year questions or sample papers, they are going to save you, trust me. ★ ask teachers how a certain topic is going to be tested. that'll help you decide how much time you should dedicate to that topic and how to study. ★ if you're someone who doesn't feel like studying, make cute flashcards while blasting some fav music of yours. in a way, you are going to be learning atleast something, while being craftsy! and the flashcards that you just made will help you to revise during exam season! ★ make a study routine and stick to it for a week. then make required changes. then stick to it again for a week. and so on. boom! you've just created an amazing lil study routine that works perfectly for you <3
LOVE LIFE ADVICES YIPPIE To attract a beautiful love life, you have to embody it first. Practice self-love unapologetically: write yourself love letters, take yourself out on cute solo dates, and learn to enjoy your own company. Strengthen your emotional intelligence too — understand what you want from love and what red flags to avoid. A shoujo heroine doesn’t chase, she glows — and in doing so, draws love to her naturally. The more you pour love into your own life, the more it reflects back in unexpected, magical ways. if you're single & u like someone - see first of all, become someone you would want to date. are you loyal? have you healed from ur past relationships and crushes? now obviously, you don't have to be mentally perfect in order to be loved, but how can you expect to be happy in a relationship if you are still bothered by your past? imagine your partner doing the same. you'd feel uncomfortable right? so don't be someone you wouldn't even want your partner to be like. once you do this, open yourself up. also please don't jump into relationships. take time. talk to people. think about from a future perspective : would i want this person to raise my kids? if no, they are not the one. choose someone who makes your inner child feel loved. also don't force relationships as well. if you like someone, find ways to enjoy it. if it's painfully unrequited then maybe you should try moving on.. let people know you. a vibrant soul is more attractive than just a pretty face. When it comes to love, don’t just go for appearances. Get to know people beyond surface-level charm. A beautiful connection is built on kindness, respect, and shared values — not just butterflies. Take your time before diving into anything serious. Observe how someone treats others, handles conflict, and talks about life. You don’t need to rush romance to feel loved. In fact, learning to enjoy solo dates, trying new hobbies, and creating moments of joy for yourself makes you naturally radiant.
Be approachable, but stay true to yourself. You don’t have to change your interests, personality, or boundaries to attract love. The right people will be drawn to your real self. Learn to set standards, notice red flags early, and walk away when something doesn’t feel right. Being single is not a waiting room — it’s a chapter filled with discovery, freedom, and growth. When you enjoy your own life fully, love will feel like a beautiful bonus, not a missing piece.
if you are in a relationship - here are just a few tips because everyone's relationships are different so i cant provide with any generalised advice.. these are stuff that worked for me : 𖹭.ᐟ you guys don't have to be in contact 24/7 to be in love 𖹭.ᐟ do not become codependent, you guys are two different people and don't lose that individuality 𖹭.ᐟ sometimes you'll have to compromise for your partner 𖹭.ᐟ you aren't always right! 𖹭.ᐟ don't focus too much on their past relationships or crushes. even you had some didn't you! aha! 𖹭.ᐟ if you guys have a fight, try to talk it out over a video or voice call or irl, it's so much better than through texts. 𖹭.ᐟ social media ruins the idea of relationships so pls don't compare yours to what you see on social media 𖹭.ᐟ create memories tg! take pictures, videos, make eachother DIY gifts, write letters etc 𖹭.ᐟ pass eachother cute love notes in school teehee 𖹭.ᐟ make playlists dedicated to eachother 𖹭.ᐟ do their makeup hehe!! 𖹭.ᐟ play roblox with them 𖹭.ᐟ have study dates
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ ✮ ⋆ ˚。𖦹 ⋆。°✩
In the end, living a shoujo romance or K-drama-like life is about falling in love with your own story. Romanticize your daily life — dress up for yourself, sip your favorite drink like it’s a ritual, and chase your dreams like they’re plot points. Make soft playlists, take pretty notes, laugh with friends, and cry when you need to. The goal isn’t to find someone — it’s to live beautifully, whether or not anyone is watching.

2025 : #28 goal setting 101: the version that actually worked for me .
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you're someone who never really knew how to set goals , if you always forget about them, lose motivation fast, or give up halfway through… then this blog might actually be for you. Because I’ve achieved about 90% of my 2025 goals so faaaar so I figured it’s time to share the real recipe for goal setting the kind that actually works.
Tumblr media
1 . you need to think about your goals by yourself.
You need to think about your goals by yourself. If you’re out here searching “how to set goals” on TikTok or watching YouTube videos where some random girly is like, “Here are goals you should set: exercise, skincare, journaling, go outside more.. to have the best year of ur life" stop right there.
Because if you keep doing that chasing the MOST aesthetic MOST overrated goals that everyone else is setting you’re not going to achieve them. Especially when the only reason you’re doing it is because someone online looked good doing it. You’ll find yourself like, “OMG yes I’ll start exercising because this girl in the video is so fit, so maybe if I do what she does, I’ll get there too.” But you won’t stick with it because it’s not your goal. A lot of people think they can just copy someone else’s dream and magically get the same results. But every time you fall off or miss a day, you’ll start spiraling: “I’m not like her.” “I’m failing.” “Maybe I’m just not good enough.” and that mindset It destroys everythin
So please if you want to actually grow, set your goals based on you. What do you need? What are you lacking? What do you want to become?Stop letting TikTok trends or Pinterest girlies tell you who to be. Like yes if you really have zero ideas, it’s okay to look around for inspiration. But don’t just copy-paste a list of goals from some stranger on the internet and expect it to work for your life.
And I’m not even gonna start on the toxic “be like wonyoung” culture. You don’t need to follow a 27-step skincare routine, eat ONE APPLE, and have perfect posture 24/7 to feel like you’re improving. U won’t become Wonyoung or any other celebrity and you’re not supposed to.
So set your own goals based on your own needs. not on what some influencer told you to do. not on what seems “productive” just because it’s trending.
Ask yourself:
﹙ ✿ ﹚ What do I actually want?
﹙ ✿ ﹚What do I need more of in my life?
﹙ ✿ ﹚What would help me feel proud?
Tumblr media
2. Set ur goals in the MOST smart way
So when it comes to setting goals I discovered this method that honestly blew my mind I don't know if someone else did this before me, but I'm gonna claim it because it worked so incredibly well for me. So back in November 2024 I was struggling hard with sticking to my goals. I had all these ideas floating around wanting to exercise more, eat healthier, read books, study better, spend time reflecting , go out w friends more ... but it was just this chaotic mess in my head that never led ANYWHERE.
That's when I came up with what I call the "Arc Method." Instead of having random goals scattered everywhere i organized everything into seven clear categories: Arc of Studying, Arc of Reading, Arc of Solitude, Arc of Education, Arc of Aesthetic, Arc of Health, and Arc of Joy. It's like putting all your goals into organized containers instead of having them scattered all over the place (u can create other arcs if u want !) , and why this method absolutely destroys the traditional goal-setting approaches is cuz our brain stops getting overwhelmed because instead of juggling twenty random objectives, we will be managing seven clear categories. Each arc contains related micro-goals, so your mind can process them as organized systems rather than a mess . Plus you naturally maintain balance across all areas of your life instead of obsessing over one thing and neglecting everything else.
The real game-changer is that this forces you to dig deep into what YOU actually want. Not what some social media gal tells you to want, but your authentic desires. You're organizing your genuine aspirations in a way that makes them achievable.
You literally sit down and write detailed "I want" statements for each arc, and I mean really get into it. Like for exemple Arc of Health: "I want to start eating healthier, especially with my meals. I want to start cooking by myself instead of relying on unhealthy food because I know I've been treating my stomach badly, but this time I will make my own meal program and actually stick to it. I want to feel energized after eating instead of sluggish. I want to build a relationship with food that makes me feel good about myself." For Arc of Education: "I want to master this specific subject that's been challenging me. I want to study smarter not just longer hours that drain me. I want to understand concepts so deeply that I can explain them to others. I want to feel confident in my knowledge instead of constantly doubting myself."
You HAVE to write these down yourself in full paragraphs like this. Don't just think about them or write short bullet points. Actually pour your thoughts out on paper with all the details, emotions, and reasons behind each want. I know it sounds HARD but ur brain is maybe full u just need to grab a paper and a pen this is literally the secret sauce. When you physically write these extended "I want" statements, they stick in your mind in a completely different way than just thinking about goals. Your brain processes written words differently, and there's something about seeing your honest desires spelled out in your own words that makes them feel incredibly real and achievable. It's like you're having a conversation with yourself about what you truly want, and that conversation becomes the foundation for actually making it happen
Then you add one major goal at the top your ultimate objective that everything else supports. This creates a clear hierarchy where every smaller goal either helps your major goal or at least doesn't conflict with it. No more working against yourself with competing priorities !!
my 2025 program if u want to know how it look like .
Tumblr media
3. have some healing goals
Before you even think about how to achieve your goals I want u to know that a lot of people focus on physical or academic goals get the clear skin, get the grades, start working out, eat healthy and those are great... But especially in your Arc of Joy hear me out u don’t need to ignore your emotional glow-up. Because when life hits you, and you’re tired, drained, or burned out, those emotional goals are the ones that actually save you.
Let me give you an example : One of my joy arc goals was to go out whenever I felt overwhelmed literally just grab my bag and walk, maybe get coffee, sit in a park, journal somewhere outside. It might sound normal but it helped me so much during spring semester, when I was too “GROUNDED.” I barely left my eyes out of my books and I was burning out. But then I remembered that simple goal I had written in my note app : “ I want to go outside when I'm feeling overwhelmed...” So I did and it helped me breathe again.
So keep your goals somewhere easy to reach your phone’s Note app , your Notion page, anywhere. Re-read them often. And include emotional goals as I said because staying grounded forever It’s not realistic you’re a human. Ur emotions matter too taking care of yourself is not a distraction from your goals it’s part of achieving them !
Tumblr media
4. How to achieve ur goals
Achieving ur goals requires confronting an uncomfortable truth that most people refuse to acknowledge SUCCESS demands RELENTLESS, sustained effort that will test every fiber of your willpower. The reality is that your brain is biologically wired to seek comfort and avoid discomfort, which means every day you'll face internal resistance trying to pull you away from the hard work your goals demand. Your dopamine system craves instant gratification from social media scrolls and easy pleasures, while your prefrontal cortex, responsible for long-term planning and self-control, must constantly battle these impulses. Most people fail not because they lack talent or opportunity, but because they underestimate the psychological warfare required to override their brain's default settings.
The difference between achievers and dreamers lies in their relationship with discomfort. When you commit to ur major goal you're essentially declaring war on your comfort zone, and this war must be fought daily not just when you feel motivated or inspired. Motivation is a fleeting emotion it's definition "When you feel motivated, you can get stuff done. When you don't feel motivated, you can't get stuff done."so DISCIPLINE is a skill that must be developed through repetition even when every cell in your body screams for rest or distraction. THE truth is that if you're not consistently uncomfortable, you're not growing. Your goals should scare u enough to make you question your capabilities, because comfortable goals don't require transformation they merely require existing. you must continuously increase the difficulty and consistency of your efforts to create lasting change.
For a long time I thought people were just being harsh when they said you have to “grind” for your goals. Especially on social media everyone made it sound EXTREME. But after six months of locking in, working, and seeing results with my own hands I finally understood they were right. If you WANT ur major goal to be a REALITY you have to work for it. That’s the only way. u can’t just daydream about it, scroll through other people’s lives, and complain about how hard it is. If you keep slipping, if you're not ready to grind, then maybe you're not ready to achieve it. That sounds brutal ikr but it's the truth I learned the hard way.
So don't pick a goal you're not prepared to fight for. Because achieving it isn’t about writing it down on New Year or manifesting it once during a full moon. It’s about doing the work eeevery day. That means sacrificing distractions, showing up when you're tired, and not mistaking one focused workday for a ten-day burnout excuse. Yes, burnout will happen and when it does, take the rest you need. But don’t start using that rest to escape your responsibilities. Rest with the purpose of coming back stronger, not slipping into avoidance. NEVER QUIT AT UR BREAKING POINT
If you fall 100 times this year fine get up for the 101. Don’t sit there crying over the time you wasted or the progress you didn’t make. Forgive yourself stand up and swear to yourself that you’re going to get it done. You don’t need to feel ready u just need to stop waiting for the perfect moment and grind anyway.
Because you know what’s harder than grinding it's REGRET. Waking up one day and realizing you were capable of so much more, but you let comfort, fear, or other people’s opinions steal your future that’s real pain nooo youtube video will hand u ur wins . Don’t let your younger self down. Don’t let the version of you who dreamed big when no one believed in her fade. I believe in you 🍀🪄

How to be a polite woman
Tumblr media
“If you’re sad, add more lipstick and attack.” - Coco Chanel
Tumblr media
somewhere between the flutter of a butterfly and the warmth of a candlelight is a girl who carries a quiet kind of magic.
she moves with purpose, speaks with tenderness, and leaves behind a trace of soft wonder.
she doesn’t have to shout — her presence is its own gentle poem.
whisper with honey, not syrup
let your words be warm and true, not heavy with empty sweetness.
genuine kindness will always taste better.
sprinkle your magic words
please, thank you, excuse me — these are your little enchantments.
use them often, and you’ll unlock hidden doors and hidden hearts.
say no like a petal drifting away
soft, sure, and graceful.
a kind “no” can be as gentle as a petal leaving its flower.
listen like an open window
welcome others’ words with quiet attention.
it is a gift, and it shows your beautiful strength.
compliment like a moonbeam
light, quick, and sincere.
a simple kind word can brighten someone’s darkest night.
leave a little shimmer behind
a smile, a thoughtful note, or a small act of care —
let people feel a little more loved because you were there.
“I don’t stop when I’m tired, I stop when I’m done.” - Marilyn Monroe
kindness is like weaving little petals into the world around you
soft, bright, and full of gentle magic.

wonyoung rules to be that girl p2 ✧
Tumblr media Tumblr media
part 1 .
Tumblr media
Embrace the "just do it" mindset: STOP STOP overthinking every decision and paralyzing yourself with what-ifs. When you feel that spark of inspiration or know something needs to be done, trust that feeling and take action. The magic happens when you stop waiting for the perfect moment and start creating it. ur intuition is usually right, and hesitation is often just fear dressed up as caution . Sometimes the best decisions are made in those moments when you silence the doubt and simply move forward there is nothing to be afraid of .
Tumblr media
Reframe your relationship with failure: There's no such thing as true failure, only feedback and redirection. Every experience that doesn't go as planned is actually data showing you what adjustments to make next time. When you shift your perspective like this, you become unstoppable because you're no longer afraid of making mistakes. You start seeing challenges as opportunities to grow stronger and wiser. The only real failure is not trying at all or giving up on yourself before you've even begun.
Tumblr media
Honor your inner work: The relationship you have with yourself sets the tone for everything else in your life. Loving your inner side means accepting your flaws while still working to improve, celebrating your unique qualities instead of comparing them to others, and speaking to yourself with the same kindness you'd show a dear friend. This inner love becomes your foundation - when you truly appreciate who you are at your core, external validation becomes nice but not necessary.
Tumblr media
Master the art of stress resilience: During overwhelming moments, return to these three non-negotiables: nourish your body with good food, give yourself adequate rest, and consciously choose not to spiral into stress. This isn't about toxic positivity or pretending problems don't exist - it's about maintaining your basic needs so you can handle challenges from a place of strength rather than depletion. When your physical foundation is solid, your mental clarity follows.
Tumblr media
Cultivate your main character energy: You are the PROTAGONIST of your own life story, so start acting like it. This means making decisions based on what genuinely makes you happy rather than what others expect from you. Dress in ways that make you feel confident, pursue hobbies that light you up inside, and surround yourself with people who celebrate your wins instead of dimming your shine. Main character energy is about taking responsibility for ur own happiness and showing up authentically in every space you enter. When you truly believe you deserve good things you naturally attract them because u are HER .

✧・゜: ✧how i use pinterest intentionally (not just endless scrolling) :・゜✧:・゜✧
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hey lovelies! ✨
confession time: i used to be a chronic pinterest scroller with absolutely nothing to show for my hours spent in the app. i'd save hundreds of pins to boards with vague names like "aesthetic" and "vibes," never to look at them again. sound familiar? but over the past year, i've completely transformed how i use pinterest from mindless consumption to an intentional tool that actually enhances my life. here's exactly how i made the shift!
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ the pinterest mindset shift ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
the game-changer for me was realizing that pinterest isn't just for collecting pretty pictures, it's a visual search engine and planning tool. now i approach it with purpose:
i ask myself "why am i opening this app right now?" before i even click the icon or enter it into the search bar
i set specific time limits for browsing (15-30 minutes max)
i focus on quality over quantity with my pins
i treat my boards as action plans, not just digital hoarding spaces
i regularly revisit and implement ideas from my boards
this shift transformed pinterest from a time-waster to one of my most valuable tools for planning, creativity, and personal growth.
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ my board organization system ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
the foundation of intentional pinterest use is thoughtful organization! here's my current system:
𝘮𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴: i group my boards into categories using board covers in the same color palette (lifestyle, home, fashion, etc.)
𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨: instead of vague names, i use specific titles like "meals for busy weeknights" or "bedroom refresh ideas 2025"
𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯 𝘣𝘰𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴: i break down larger boards into sections (my "morning routine" board has sections for drinks, movement, journaling, etc.)
𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘷𝘴. 𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤: i keep boards private when they're in planning stages, then make them public once they're curated
𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨: i archive boards that aren't currently relevant (like christmas decor in july) to reduce visual clutter
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ my favorite intentional board types ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
here are the board categories that have added genuine value to my life:
𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵-𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤 𝘣𝘰𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴: whenever i start a new project (room redecoration, event planning, etc.), i create a dedicated board with sections for different aspects
𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘣𝘰𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴: i create a fresh board each season with sections for recipes, activities, outfits, and decor i want to incorporate
𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘴𝘶𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘦 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨: i pin actual items i own alongside new pieces i'm considering to visualize combinations
𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮: i maintain boards for different meal categories and actually reference them when making grocery lists
𝘨𝘪𝘧𝘵 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘴: i have a board for each important person in my life where i pin potential gifts year-round
𝘨𝘰𝘢𝘭 𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯: i create boards for specific goals with both inspiration and actionable steps
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ my pinterest workflow ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
this is my personal step-by-step process for intentional pinning:
𝘴𝘦𝘵 𝘢 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦: i decide what specific question i'm trying to answer or problem i'm trying to solve
𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘢 𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘺: i use specific search terms rather than browsing the home feed (which is designed for endless scrolling)
𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘺: i only save pins that: • provide clear value or inspiration • lead to actual content (not dead links) • represent ideas i genuinely might implement
𝘢𝘥𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘴: i write specific notes on pins about why i saved them or how i plan to use the idea
𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨: after a pinning session, i schedule time to actually try one of the ideas
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ from virtual to reality ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
the most important part of intentional pinterest use is implementation! here's how i ensure my pins actually translate to real life:
𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘪𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸: every sunday, i spend 10 minutes reviewing recent pins and selecting 1-3 to implement that week
𝘱𝘪𝘯-𝘵𝘰-𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘳: i keep a simple journal noting which pins i've actually implemented
𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯: i take photos of my real-life versions of pinterest inspiration
𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘬𝘴: i regularly ask "do i have the time/budget/skills for this?" before saving aspirational pins
𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘵: i remove pins that no longer feel aligned with my taste or goals
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ advanced pinterest strategies ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
once you've mastered the basics, these strategies take intentional pinning to the next level! i hope you all enjoy them!:
𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘱 𝘣𝘰𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴: i create collaborative boards with friends for shared projects or trips
𝘱𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨: for complex projects, i create flow charts showing how different pins connect to each other
𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘢 𝘦𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘣𝘰𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴: i document my own progress by pinning "before" and "after" images of my projects
𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘳: i use pinterest to plan content themes for my blog and social media (i of course also use pinterest for images for my blog)
𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴: i create sequential boards that build skills in a particular area
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ final thoughts ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
pinterest is whatever you make of it, it can be a mindless scroll hole or one of the most powerful tools for intentional living and creativity. the difference lies entirely in how you approach it.
i still enjoy the occasional aimless browsing session (we all need that sometimes!), but transforming most of my pinterest time into purposeful searching and planning has genuinely enhanced my life. my spaces are more cohesve, my wardrobe more intentional, and my creative projects more focused, all because i stopped treating pinterest like social media and started using it like the powerful visual tool it truly is.
how do you use pinterest? are you a careful curator or a joyful browser? feel free to drop your thoughts in the notes!
xoxo, mindy 🤍

𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 !
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When you exercise u feel weaker, but you're actually getting stronger. when you're learning something new u feel stupid, but you're actually becoming smarter . so when you're improving, you will definitely feel vulnerable first, and this moment of vulnerability is actually a very very very important moment of progress. Many people give up during this process because they misinterpret these uncomfortable feelings as signs of failure rather than growth. We become tired, we feel weak, we develop that resistant mentality that says to u "you're not cut out for this." But these sensations are not indicators that we should quit they're evidence that we're pushing beyond our current limits and expanding our capabilities. This discomfort exists in the gap between WHO we are and WHO we're becoming.
Our muscles ache because they're rebuilding themselves stronger. Our minds feel overwhelmed because they're forming new neural pathways. Our confidence wavers because we're stepping into unfamiliar territory where mastery hasn't yet arrived. The key is recognizing that growth happens in the space between comfort and capability. When we grit our teeth and persist through these challenging moments, we don't just develop skills we develop resilience, mental toughness, and the profound understanding that temporary discomfort leads to lasting transformation !
There is a saying of Rumi : "try not to resist the changes that come your way. Instead, let life live through you. And do not worry that your life is turning upside down. How do you know that the side you are used to is better than the one to come?"

why you're still stuck (and how to get unstuck)⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ 🕊️
you’re not stuck because life is unfair. you’re stuck because you’re doing the same things and expecting different results.
nobody's coming to drag you out of bed. nobody's going to shove your goals into your hands. you either decide today matters — or you keep lying to yourself that you’ll start tomorrow. 🌷
Tumblr media
the truth is: • comfort is killing you softly. • fear is disguising itself as “playing it safe.” • procrastination feels easier now but it costs you everything later.
if you want to move, you have to be willing to move imperfectly.
messy mornings
awkward first steps
showing up ugly, unsure, half-ready
waiting until you "feel ready" is why you're still where you were six months ago.
you don't need a new planner, a new outfit, a new perfect schedule. you need urgency. you need to act like the door is closing — because it is.
time will pass whether you move or not.
the only question is: will you be proud of how you used it?
start with what you can do today. • make one decision your future self will thank you for. • take one risk that scares you in a good way. • finish one thing you've been putting off because it's "too small" to matter.
the only way to get unstuck is to move while you’re still scared.
nobody's coming. no permission slip, no announcement. it's on you — always has been. 🕯️
Tumblr media
being stuck isn’t permanent. but staying stuck? that’s a choice.
get up before you're ready. do it badly at first. keep going until it looks easy to everyone else.

how to stop being chronically online ⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ 🎀
you wake up and immediately check your phone. you fall asleep scrolling. you know more about strangers' lives than your own.
you're addicted to being online and it's stealing your life.
Tumblr media
why you can't log off:
your real life feels boring compared to the highlight reel you see online. everyone else looks like they're living their best life while you're just surviving.
you use other people's content to avoid creating your own. it's easier to consume than to build. easier to watch than to do.
scrolling numbs feelings you don't want to feel. boredom, loneliness, anxiety, emptiness. your phone is your drug of choice.
you're addicted to comparison and validation. likes, comments, views become your measure of worth.
what it's costing you: your attention span is shot. you can't focus on anything for more than a few minutes without reaching for your phone.
your real relationships suffer because you're always half-present, half-scrolling.
you're living your life through other people instead of creating your own experiences.
how to get your life back:
delete apps that make you feel worse about yourself. if it triggers comparison or makes you feel inadequate, it has to go.
create morning and evening routines without your phone. let your brain wake up and wind down without immediately plugging into the internet.
find hobbies that don't require a screen. read books, learn instruments, exercise, cook, create something with your hands.
spend time with people in real life. have conversations without documenting them. experience moments without posting them.
remember that social media is a highlight reel, not reality. everyone is struggling with something they're not posting about.
the goal isn't to never use technology: it's to use it intentionally instead of compulsively. to choose when you engage instead of being pulled in by addiction.
Tumblr media
your real life is happening while you're watching other people's fake lives.
log off and live.

how to rebuild yourself after falling off⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ 🕯️
you fell off. ok. it happens. no need to pretend it didn’t.
but what you do after you fall? that’s the real story. 🌷
falling off doesn’t make you a failure — staying there does. so this is your guide to standing back up, even if you’re crawling at first.
Tumblr media
step one: stop lying about where you’re at.
you can’t rebuild anything if you’re busy pretending everything’s fine. • sit with the mess. admit it’s messy. admit you let yourself down. • but don’t live there. own it, but don’t become it.
self-awareness hurts. but it’s also the first step out.
step two: make your next move tiny.
your comeback isn’t gonna be some huge, aesthetic morning routine you saw on TikTok. it’s gonna look like: • drinking a glass of water even if you still feel dead inside • taking a 5-minute walk even if your brain is screaming no • journaling one sentence even if you don’t know what to say
the comeback is boring at first. that’s why most people stay stuck.
step three: forgive yourself faster.
you can’t rebuild while you’re busy hating yourself for falling. forgive yourself — even if you don’t think you deserve it yet. forgive yourself for giving up, for ghosting your goals, for being messy. you’re human. it was never supposed to be perfect.
step four: romanticize the rebuild.
everyone loves the glow-up, but no one talks about the rebuild era. this is where the real flex is: • getting dressed even if you’re not going anywhere • making playlists for the new you you’re building • lighting a candle just to write your to-do list
you’re not rebuilding because you hate yourself. you’re rebuilding because you believe there’s a better version of you on the other side. 🕯️
step five: move like it’s already yours.
stop begging. stop hoping. start moving like it’s already yours. • show up for yourself before you feel like it • act like you already respect yourself • move like the door is already open — not like you’re waiting for permission to knock
the version of you that you’re chasing? she’s already waiting. but you can’t meet her sitting in the ruins.
Tumblr media
you fell. so what? get up. build again. quietly, daily, stubbornly. the best glow-ups are built in silence — and nobody claps until the transformation is too loud to ignore. 🕊️

if self-care was a girl, she would…
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
she starts her mornings with a glass of water and stretches because it makes her feel good
her evenings are a mix of journaling, dancing in her room and turning her phone off when she needs time to be introspective
she’s empathetic and patient, specially with herself
she’s a great listener, but she never lets herself be a dumping ground for negativity
she’s not afraid to walk away from people who drain her energy and make her feel bad
her mantra is “i deserve to be cared, specially by myself”
she knows that healing can be messy and she’s fine with taking one step at a time or even going one step back because life is not linear
sometimes she stays in bed all day because she knows that rest is productive too
she celebrates small wins like taking her vitamins/meds, finishing a good book etc. because she believes joy is found everywhere
she values quality over quantity in every part of her life
she surrounds herself with people who respect her boundaries
her style isn’t about trends: it’s about what truly resonates with her
she values the present moment, even when it’s messy
she leaves every person she meets better than when she found them
she reminds you that you’re allowed to be a work in progress and a masterpiece at the same time
she loves herself just the way she is <3
