I’m going to be very categoric on this point: people don’t choose to be dysphoric, however people choose to be trans. And that’s why the experience of lgb ppl is not comparable to the experience of trans ppl. Us lesbians, gays and bi want to be accepted as we are, we don’t want to change anything about ourselves, we encourage self love. Trans ppl change themselves, their physical appearance, it’s not about accepting oneself the way they are, it’s about leaving yourself behind because you cannot view your body as if it was yourself. So can we stop pretending like these two communities live the same things?
