While Iran is an outlier when it comes to transgender rights in the Islamic Middle East trans rights are still shit there. Better by comparison to it’s neighbours, but not good by any stretch of the word. There is still honour killings & suicides often among trans people, and some psychiatrists and doctors will put pressure on gay people to medically transition in order to be technically straight (Quran says [7:80] You gratify your lust with men instead of women: indeed you are a people who transgress the limits [of nature]!" but says nothing against transgender people therefore Iran prefers transgenderism over homosexuality).

In other words, while Iran isn’t the worst in terms of trans rights and it’s fine to congratulate them on being miles more understanding than many of their geological religious and cultural neighbours, it’s misguided to venerate Iran for this, especially without an understanding of the bigger picture of trans & LGBT rights in Iran.

Even if you consider the Israelis to be indigenous and the Palestinians to be colonisers, do they really have the right to conduct this degree of violence? And even if you believe that, yes, indigeonous people (or the people you believe to be indigenous) do have a right to violent resistance over their colonisers, where was that attitude during Standing Rock? If the opressed have the right to violence over their opressors, then what about the Black Panthers calling for violent uprising? But Zionists don't think like this. The only reason they consider Israelis to be opressed indigenous minorities is because using the lingo of the left allows them leverage over us. Gay flags on cop cars all over again. Plastering hateful authoritarian institutions with woke lingo in an attempt to seem like anything other than a power hungry machine.
