Franklin and Valeria’s lives were hanging in the balance, and as much as he worried for Sue, Johnny and Ben’s safety, they could easily defend themselves. “Fine,” he stated, not turning back to the screen. “I’ll help you, on your terms.” It was a risk, but one that was intensely necessary. He just had to hope Sue would forgive him one more time. 

He may have lost this battle, but Doom wasn’t going to win the war on his watch.
