Was RCIA daunting? Did you face any struggles? I worry about getting to know people in that way, especially since I am only attracted to people of the same sex. There will be no reason to bring it up as I am not acting on anything I feel, but at the same time I feel like I will be deceiving everyone. Like I am this thing and they do not know, and they might want to distance themselves if they did, especially the other women my age or people with children. I'm just starting to worry as this path gets more serious. Please pray for me, that all of these worries dissolve and are replaced with love from God who I love more than anything.
Hello dear! š
Iām so proud of you for taking this step to join RCIA. Itās such a beautiful journey toward Jesus and His Church. I absolutely loved my time in RCIA (Iām a huge nerd and love learning!) and Iām still friends with several people from my class. itās amazing how close you become when you share this experience together.
Please donāt be afraid or ashamed of having same-sex attraction. If it ever comes up, know this: we all have struggles and temptations, and none of them make us worth less in Godās eyes. We are all broken in different ways, and all sin is equal before Him. Your struggle is no worse than someone wrestling with greed, pride, or anything else.
If anyone ever rejects you because of this, thatās something they need to work through with Jesusānot you. You are loved, seen, and called His beloved. Your temptations do not define you, and they are no greater or worse than anyone elseās.
I will be praying for you!

We had a visiting bishop lead mass yesterday. He accidentally gave me a regular host (Iām allergic to wheat) and I ate it anyway since Iām not allergic to the body and blood of Christ. I had absolutely no symptoms. No sickness. For reference if I eat even a tiny bit of wheat in cooking spray or soy sauce Iāll get extremely ill. If you need proof of transubstantiation here it is.

there is no hairstyle that beats the humble braid. while the ponytail often causes headaches, and the half-pony sometimes doesnāt keep all of the hair away from oneās face, the braid looks cute and allows one to rest their head on the back of a chair. while the hair is braided, one may look either like a shojo protagonist, a medieval princess, or a quaint shepherdess. the added bonus of having mermaid waves afterwards is the cherry on top.

So in DBT I learned guilt is āI did badā and shame is āI am badā
Instead of this whole "unlearning shame" bullshit, we should really be teaching people to distinguish between when you feel bad because you genuinely did wrong and when you're just beating yourself up for no good reason.

Being against the sexual degradation of women in terms of pornography/prostitution and just everyday life, used to be a very normal and valid opinion in feminism 30-40+ years ago.
But in the present day merely complaining about the hyper-sexualization of women, will get you called an āinternalized misogynistā āprudeā āfrigidā āanti-feministā āfacistā and the upsetting thing about it, is that itās women saying it to each other.
