Kat paused her music when Blitz suddenly shot off his dog bed barking excitedly. She set aside the stack of paperwork she was working on and walked out to the main office to see him slip out the dog door and continue barking over the sound of a helicopter. Her confusion turned to joy when she watched Rikelus walk in.
"And here I was starting to think you forgot where the shop was," She teased as she walked over and hugged him. It was obvious she missed him by how tightly she hugged him.
"I'm gonna assume that you're the cause of that helicopter?" She snickered as she smiled at the gifts he brought. She loved each item and her mind was already running through each item and where she'd put each one.
"How was the trip or do I need to sign an NDA before you can say."

She has never been more frustrated at an inanimate object than she was at that moment as she glared at his phone. Being so close to him at that moment she could faintly hear the mention of a helicopter coming and sighed, resting her forehead against his chest.
"Guess it was bound to happen eventually, terrible timing though." She gave him another kiss as she smiled lightly. "Probably not needed but be careful, alright?"
She knew it was probably not needed, more than likely something that he could easily take care of and he'll be sitting in the office of her shop playing tug of war with Blitz by tomorrow. Still, a tiny part of her couldn't help but worry since the last person she thought she didn't need to worry about hasn't so much as shot her a message in days.

She smiled, her eyes shining with feelings she still feared to say out loud. The idea of leaving Midgar and living somewhere far from it was both a terrifying and exhilarating thought. Given her father's stubbornness, that future would still be far off but it felt exciting to work for a goal like this instead of basically coasting since it was guaranteed she'd take over after her father.
"Dad is more stubborn than an angry chocobo but he's always said he wants me to have a better life than him. I'm sure he wouldn't be expecting it but in time he'll probably understand." As much as she'd want to insist he come with when he retires, obviously there's something about Midgar that keeps him wanting to stay and she'd never force him to do something he wouldn't want to do.
She chuckled at his response as she kissed him, even this simple act felt new and exciting with her new goal in mind. "Good, because at this point I couldn't imagine a life without you in it.

"You have a point, I've only seen her in interviews but just from that I feel like I'd become violent if I was stuck in a room with her." She laughed, looking away before he could see how flustered she became just from his smile. Every time she thinks she can't fall any harder, he surprises her again.
She's lived her entire life with the goal of taking over the shop. She's practically been encouraging her father to finally retire since the shop has been getting more traction since moving to the plate. Even if he just worked at the shop for a few hours, they'd be decently set without the extra income from his warehouse job.
But as she looked out at the city around them surrounded by towering walls, she wondered if it was because she wanted to for herself or if it's because it was the best she could do living in Midgar. She rarely talked about her mother since her death still upset her father but she always wondered why they decided to live in Midgar instead of Wutai. Her father told her once after she was caught exploring the wasteland on the outskirts of the city that she had her mother's wanderlust. According to him her mother had explored all of the slums in her first year of living in the city. By year two she had been almost everywhere on the plates that a citizen could visit. She couldn't help but wonder if her mother felt like a bird in a cage for the five years she lived in Midgar before she was born.
Maybe that's why she had such a passion for tinkering. She loved building motorcycles for the freedom it allowed her and the places it could take her that she couldn't reach on her own. She'd never trade the feelings she'd experience from listening to an engine roar to life or the energy coursing through her like electricity when she had a new idea for a weapon prototype but maybe if she was able to take a step out of her open cage, she might be able to feel what it's like to fly.
"It sounds tempting," she admitted as she looked back at him, the green in her eyes reflecting the streetlights and giving them her own gentle glow. "But only if that company included you."

"I know, you're not the first he's acted this way to," Kat sighed, remembering all the times he'd warn her to be careful when she'd stop by the ShinRa building just to see if Gen was back she wasn't working. "He's been worried about me for years ever since I befriended someone from SOLDIER. Sometimes I think he's worried I'm going to say the wrong thing around the wrong person and it'll land me in trouble."
While she did have a continuously growing dislike for the company due to the visible toll it takes on her father, she could never bring herself to actively hate anyone associated with ShinRa ever since meeting Gen. Since she sometimes would be hired as an independent contractor to repair vehicles for the company; saying any of her grievances out loud would be biting the hand that feeds her and she wouldn't do anything to risk her father's job or their business.
"I'm sure he wouldn't mind if I explain I'm finally taking a break. It just so happens I'll be taking a break with you."

It was amazing how a smile and a look from him had her heart skipping a beat. She was sure he could see her flushed face as his eyes almost seemed to glow in the moonlight and caused her heart to beat harder in her chest.
"Tempting, I could probably move some things around for a vacation." It wouldn't be too hard, her father has taken more hours at the warehouse so she was basically running the shop and it would be easy to move around the few appointments she had to an earlier or later day to give her free time.
The problem was getting her father on board letting her leave with him. Ever since she started training with him, her father had started worrying about her more. She assumed he was worried about her picking more fights even though her temper only flares up when she deals with creeps bothering her on her few trips to Wall Market.
Although, he might be more lenient if she mentions it's to relax since he's always getting on her for overworking herself and she hasn't had a proper vacation since her father took her to Costa del Sol for her 13th birthday as a surprise.

Assorted RP Starters~
Villain-ish
"What's the matter, are you going to cry?" "You look so pathetic right now." "Aw, look, you're shaking like a leaf." "Try all you want, that collar won't come off." "How do you like your cage?" "Trying to escape is useless." "You’re practically squirming. Do I frighten you that much?" "All of your friends are going to die, all because of you. How does that make you feel?" "You think that you're so noble, but you're just as much the villain as I am." "Everybody's going to know your dirty little secret. You can't hide it forever." "I've met plenty of people who said they'd never break. They all talk in the end. You will too." "You've made a huge mistake, and you're going to pay for it." "How high is your pain tolerance? Let's find out." "You thought that you could defy me? Then let me put you in your place." "That pained expression on your face is so delicious." "No one can save you now. You’re mine."
Teasing/Humiliation Lite:
"Wait…are you crying?" "No way, don't tell me you're scared?" "Aw, were you worried about me?" "I hear you missed me." "You're totally embarrassed, your face is all red!" "You know your big crush on [name] is so obvious." "I heard you talking in your sleep. You were saying [my name/other name]." "You were staring at [name] the whole time with that stupid dreamy look on your face." "I thought you said you weren’t scared?"
Spooky:
"I can hear things walking around upstairs. Is somebody up there?" "What's the matter, you look pale?" "I just saw a shadow go by!" "I thought that this place was abandoned?" "We're going to have to go down into the basement." "Why did all the lights go off??" "I think that we're lost, and it's staring to get dark out…What should we do?" "You heard that, right? Sounds like somebody's dying." "Come on, let's just try it, what's the worst that could happen? The oujia board is just a toy, after all." "There are tons of rumors about that place…let's check it out!" "There's something behind you…" "Were you in my room last night? I saw somebody sitting at the edge of the bed."
Angst:
"I don't even want to look at you right now." "Did you really think that you could just forget about it, like nothing ever happened? "Was it another nightmare?" "I know you hate me, so just say it already." "You think I'm a monster, don't you?" "Why can't you just open up?" "So you've been lying to me the whole time!" "Alright, maybe I'm jealous. So what?" "I've tried to get along with you, but you really make it impossible." "Just let it go already!" "It was my fault, and whatever you say won't change that." "You let this happen, and for what? Was it worth it?" "That act may fool the others, but I don't trust you at all." "You really think you're something special. God, you're so full of yourself." "How long can you keep lying to yourself?" "I really am a monster, don't lie to me!" "You’re weak. You always were." "You know that this is all your fault."

"Do I have to kick someone's ass?" She said only half joking. "All I need is a dark alley and a nice and heavy wrench." Depending on how hard she hits she might need an empty barrel and a lot of lye but he didn't need to know that.
Kat chuckled, gesturing to herself and her ShinRa branded overalls before finishing her drink in one large gulp. "And you think I do? Trust me, my self respect basically died years ago."

It was hard to describe how she felt in the moment. But as she hugged him, surrounded by his presence and the smell of his cologne mixed with mako, she felt everything melt away.
Her worries of her father's debt and declining health, her future in Midgar and the lack of communication from her best friend seemed to melt away as he held her.
"I never thought this is where we'd end up when you showed up at the shop." She smiled as she reluctantly stepped back so she could reach her hand up and cup his cheek. She had heard from her best friend in SOLDIER that things could be rough. She couldn't imagine what he's been through but the thought she could give him even a moment of peace brought tears to her eyes.
"Would it be in poor taste to say I'm glad your bike got damaged?" She chuckled, trying to subtly wipe the tears from her eyes. "If it wasn't for that night, I couldn't imagine how we would have met."
