Yes, I feel very similarly! Part of why I loved Sakura from the beginning was because of how much I was able to relate to her character. She started off as a shy girl, insecure about her forehead (which I totally relate to lmao having a big forehead is rough *cries*), to someone who although still had confidence issues was much more outspoken. It was even to the point of her being considered "annoying" by her crush, which, I kid you not, happened to me as well. Talk about devastating...
I really appreciated how entirely average she was. I grew up surrounded by a lot of "gifted" children and it can be quite frustrating trying to claw your way to the top when you're just completely normal. This lead me to sympathize with her character and her struggles of feeling left behind on her team. Wanting to grow and change, but not too sure how.
I started the series when I was eleven, so I remember feeling as if I was growing up with her in a sense. It's honestly devastating to me how much ridicule and hate she receives when Sakura honestly hasn't really done anything to properly warrant the remarks. I think back to myself at the age of some of her actions feel they are entirely realistic mistakes to make. I've gotten into plenty of petty arguments with my friends over the years and accidently insulted people, but it doesn't necessarily make me a bad person. It's just something that happens and you learn to grow from it. Her mistakes make her a good character because she decides improve herself from those lower moments.
Despite how many others feel, I too feel quite content with how her character turned out in the end, but I do sometimes enjoy entertaining these food-for-thought ideas of other possible routes for her!
Anyway, apparently my girl Sakura has finally returned to boruto, so maybe I'll read the new chapter just for her even though I don't like tbv lmao
As much as I love Sakura, I actually think her dying would’ve been an interesting choice. Kishimoto talks a lot about flowers and floriography in Naruto, so I’m a little surprised he didn’t decide to incorporate the meaning of Sakura’s name. Cherry blossoms have a short lifespan, they die soon after reaching their full bloom. They fall at the moment of their greatest beauty. To some, it’s a representation of life and death and a reminder of how transient cherished moments can be. Sakura blossomed in the war and when everyone was stuck in the infinite tsukuyomi I feel they could’ve killed her off if wanted. Perhaps in a bastardized attempt of Chiyo’s jutsu to bring back Sasuke and Naruto. Maybe in an act to save her teammates similar to what Obito did. Or possibly after an epic battle. I suppose if Kishimoto didn’t want to go that route I think it would also be interesting to see if Sakura had taken more lives. A healer with the bloodlust of an assassin. It would be the true embodiment of her name, a paradox if you will. Although, it’s hard to see Sakura, a girl with a bleeding heart, in that light. Anyway, I truly think Kishimoto just gave her the name because of her hair and didn’t think much else of it, but I find this to be an interesting thought of how it could’ve played out.
To make it clear, I’m happy she didn’t die since Sakura is my favourite

Just made some hojicha!! It tastes pretty good imo and I would say it reminds me of barley tea. I think overall, I prefer matcha, but this is definitely a more cost effective drink 😓😓

I totally feel you. I’ve been sorta watching/reading on and off since it started and I just can’t make myself like it 💀💀 I 100% agree that it’s lost the feel that Naruto had and ig that’s what they were going for with the new generation, but I don’t like it… I still keep up though because I wanna see the old cast lmao (gimme Sakura), but I’m having an even harder time with tbv since everyone is just so op it feels unwarranted 🤷‍♀️
It honestly annoys me so bad that boruto keep teasing deaths. Istg just kill them off. They continue to “kill” major characters just to magically bring them back seconds later. It really ruins it for me because it almost eliminates the whole risk factor because it just feels like they’re too scared to actually go through with it. Even the sealing and tree stuff just feels cheap because it’s another pseudo death that can be undone 🙄
Also, this Eida girl can just leave. She’s so boring idc

Tbh, the war arc definitely wasn't my favourite, but I'm happy it happened. In a story like Naruto where the ultimate goal is peace and all of the major shinobi villages are at odds with each other, I think that the only way for them to come together was for there to be a mass threat impacting all the shinobi world. They were forced to put aside their differences and come together to fight, which was honestly quite beautiful. I don't think the execution was the best, but the war was a necessary advancement in the story and dare I say that I was excited Naruto's generation had to fight.
