Note
Do you remember a fanfic where Steve crashes the Valkyrie, but when the Tesseract sent Red Skull through a Portal in space, something else came through? Bucky is an alien that gets into Steve's body and survives with him being frozen, when Thor meets him he tries to separate Steve and Bucky because he knows these aliens as aggressive and violent (however, the first thing Steve showed to the tiny alien bucky was compassion and kindness and Bucky learnt from Steve)
I only found a lovecraftian tentacled Bucky fanfic in Ao3 with a summary that started with 'when the Tesseract sends the Red Skull into space, something else comes through', but that's not the fanfic I am looking for! Do you have an idea or have read something similar?
I don't, but that sounds really cool! (Fully sold on 'tiny alien Bucky')
Is anyone else familiar with this fic that can help?!

I actually meant to start publishing this early enough that I could post this chapter on 10th March, so that went well... But there is another special date in a few weeks time and I might have something lined up for that instead...!
But for now, have chapter 6. Happy birthday, Bucky!
This has been a long time coming, but I'm thrilled to finally start sharing my latest fic:
One Day (WIP)
Once upon a time, Steve and Bucky began and ended every mission with the same few words pressed against eager lips. It was a promise and protection both, a ritual repeated time and again to ensure that they would always make it back to each other. Only one day Bucky didn't make it back and subsequently Steve's whole world fell apart.
It was stupid, really, to have placed so much faith in something so insubstantial, and yet, perhaps there was more power in words than Steve could ever have imagined...
[Rating: E, Words: 14,781, Chapters: 6/13]

Incidentally, it also cracks me up that the Torch has to say 'flame on' every. single. time.
Not least because all I can hear, every one of those times, is this...

The villains in the old comics are hilarious. It's like they just pulled random words out of a hat, added 'man' to the end and went 'that'll do'.
I'm about to discover what happened when the Human Torch went up against the power of The Plantman...

it's canon that one of the world's most feared assassins, mr winter soldier himself, sleeps like this.

For anyone (no one) following my Marvel Comics adventures, I still haven't reached the first appearance of Cap in the Avengers comics, but I have stumbled across the first appearance of Dr. Strange...
