my projectile/relative motion test was 2 days ago and we are moving on to dynamics. not particularly confident about the test though, because it had such a small denominator (not much room for little mistakes) and I’m not fully clear with relative motion so I only have my fingers to cross.

How to get better grades without studying:

i know, i know, this is a studyblr. a tumblr made for studying. but however contradicting this whole “not studying” thing can feel, i believe we can all unite in one opinion: less work with the same outcome, what’s not to love about that? so, from one desperate student to an other, here comes my best tips for better grades that do not include studying.

Be nice to your teachers. You’re teachers are (most of the time) there to help you. Be nice to them (and they’ll be nice to your grades).

Sleep. Like when you train your muscles, you require rest to grow stronger. In the same way, will your brain needs relaxation to process all the information you forcefully promp in to it.

Teach someone else. Helping someone else study can be just as effective for you as for the other person. You also get that confidence boost of knowing more than someone else (just me, okay then…) and you revise without even thinking about it.

Read. Read anything, and everything! Books, newspapers, magazines, blogs… This does not only expand your inner dictionary and vocabulary, but also makes you seem like a tremendously urbane and knowledgeable person.

Keep your shit together (at least to the outside world). The illusion of having it together can often be enough to impress teachers, fellow classmates and parents. Sometimes, if you’re a good actor/actress enough, the play thus leads to better grades. Kinda like, fake it til’ you make it.

here’s to the studyblrs who don’t have great calligraphy skills. who don’t have the patience to maintain a beautiful bullet journal. who have big messy handwriting. who don’t have “aesthetic” study spaces. our work may not be pretty like we wish it could be, but we still keep ourselves motivated to do well in school thanks to the studyblr community we draw inspiration from. let’s embrace our imperfections. our notes will not always look perfect, but what’s important is that we are learning. that’s what we’re all in this community for, after all. to learn.
