3/4 review.
The family of the deceased donor would return to specific areas of the project to memorialize their loved ones while still being tethered to the liveliness of the housing part. The borderline between alive and dead is diminished. Life, more than technically life, both living one and dying ones should be able to decide what is life.

Research and design.
1. Building along the exposed 1811 Grid while maintaining the imposed spiral planning logic.
2. Developing the cellular logic (a script that can morph cells between two untrimmed surfaces, rather than maintaining equal depth throughout)
3. 1994 geological survey indicates bedrock surface in red contours and topographic surface in black contours. The bedrock surrounding the reservoir is frequently within 10 feet of the surface (and so the “New York Horizons” project is based on a false premise). Bedrock depth and skyscraper location also do not correlate, contrary to popular perceptions.
4. Orientation of glacial striae and grooves across the park.
“Latitudes and longitudes impose themselves on the medieval system of rhumbs. The grid thus turns into a diagram, enabling the depiction of temporal sequences in addition to spatial orders. Once we read the synchronic segments diachronically, time appears as a function of space.”
