sent off a draft of my primary field rationale + reading list to my supervisor, answered roughly one million emails, and almost spilled my coffee in my lap in my excitement at seeing the shy rescue coffee shop dog this morning

Something that I get chills about is the fact that the oldest story told made by the oldest civilization opens with "In those days, in those distant days, in those ancient nights."

This confirms that there is a civilization older than the Sumerians that we have yet to find

Some people get existential dread from this

Me? I think it's fucking awesome it shows just how much of this world we have yet to discover and that is just fascinating

i got a 98% on this assignment so i don't feel like i could possibly justify myself in emailing the grader like Uhmm... i think your rubric is wrong and i'm correct.... bc i know she'll think i'm being pissy about a ridiculous TWO PERCENT. but i fully dgaf about the grade. it's just that unfortunately i am correct. i am currently looking at the text that explicitly says i am correct. and therefore her correction of my numbers is actually incorrect. so. like.

I just did my paper in emergency medicine (my last day tomorrow!!!! Thank God!!). I enjoyed it very much but I’m oh so tired, so exhausted. :( I came from PM shift last night we had 7 intubations, and I had to stay up for interns’ hour but fell asleep immediately because of my exhaustion.

I accomplished everything else for my rehab and ED rotations so now I just have to do my anki cards, diary, then go home to sleep before my preduty shift tomorrow in ED. Life is good, life is very busy. Sometimes I wonder if this is all worth it.
