seriously though, calling people virgins as an insult is like the same mentality that leads to people having sex before they’re ready. it’s a part of that same societal pressure.
so it’s completely bullshit for you to speak of being a feminist or rape culture, when you literally speak of sexual inactivity negatively. if you make the exception once you don’t like someone, that isn’t good activism.
if you cannot even on an individual level talk of sex lives responsibly.. how do you expect there to be anything in your activism that could change anything systemic?
if you hide behind your feminism to call lgbtq+ people for virgins, you’re not a feminist but a reactionary.

pro tip: before getting serious w a man, just casually mention ur period. like, just say ‘my cramps are bad rn’ or ‘I have to go buy some pads’. his reaction is very telling of how mature and understanding he is. you don’t wanna be dating a grown ass man who gets grossed out by the word menstruation. u deserve someone who is comfortable w u and I do mean all of u. you’ll be thanking urself for doing it now and not later hun!

Before you ask, yes there are paintings of this. And yes, they’re amazing.

The Duchess of York and her second daughter, Princess Margaret Rose.
“Bertie and I have decided now to call our little daughter ‘Margaret Rose’ instead of M. Ann as Papa does not like Ann. I hope that you will like it. I think that it is very pretty together.” - The Duchess of York in a letter to her mother-in-law, Queen Mary, on 6 September 1930, after the princess’ birth on 21st August 1930.
