September 15th

You sat on the stool,elbows on the marble counter.Soft murmurs of Matt playing from the Xbox sounded from the living room.Your eyes moved with every word on the thin page. “What ya’ reading?” Matt asked,pulling his attention off the tv.He looked at you from the couch,you on the other hand had to response.You where drowned into your book,teeth sinked into your plush bottom lip as you read.Sat on the edge of the stool,you flipped the page with a small “whoosh” sound. “Babe.” Matt said,narrowing his eyes,his tongue prodding the inside of his cheek.No response,you kept reading,not even hearing him.Matt blinked,then threw the controller on his left side,it tumbled onto the couch.He walked over and rested his chin on the top of your head.Finally,you noticed him.A soft hum came from your throat as you looked up at him. “Yes?” You asked innocently. “What Book ya’ reading?” He repeated his original question.A warm smile spread across your face,you turned to book to face the cover toward you and Matt.One thing had always crossed your mind once you purchased any number of book in a series,Nerd.Your Face felt warm with embarrassment as you studied the cover for yourself. It was the third book in the Hunger games series.“Mocking Jay.” Matt whispered,nodding. “Cool.” He hummed,kissing your head and slinking back toward the couch.

September 28th

Matt had gone back to Boston a week ago,currently you where on a call with him while finishing up your book.You whispered The words to yourself as Matt spoke gently. “We went to go out to ea-” He cut himself off from talking about his day,you heard a knock from your door and looked at your phone to see Matt’s face.He looked a bit flushed.You picked your phone up,putting your book down.You couldn’t care less about the knock on your door. “What?Whats up Matt?” You asked,a small chuckle escaped your lips. “You better go check your door.” You shrugged. “Okay?” As you did so,you found out it was a package. “It’s a Package.” You told Matt. “But I Didn’t order anything?” You Said,confused. “Weird.” He didn’t sound the slightest confused. “Better open it.” You nodded and set him up on your water bottle.You slid into the stool propped up by the counter.A wide grin was on his face while you cut open the box with scissors.You gasped,covering your mouth with your hand.Your cheeks flushed a gentle red. “Matt!You didn’t have to.” You said,holding up the book.The fourth book of the series. “But I did,You just finished the other book didn’t ya?” He asked. “But-” You tried to speak,but he cut you off. “No buts,you probably want to read it anyway.I’ll let you go,‘Kay babe?” He didn’t wait for a response. “I’ll see you in a week,Love you lots babe.Tell me when you finish that.” He said. “Bu-Uh-Oh-Okay!Love you to Matt.See you later!” You finished quickly,he grinned and waved goodbye before hanging up.

Soft daylight flowed through the curtains in your room,forcing your eyes to blink open.You sat up in bed,bringing your hands up to rub your eyes that were still drowned with sleep.You looked over to the left of the bed.There lay the brown haired boy,his face stuffed into a pillow.You swallowed,realizing how much your throat had hurt.You blinked away the last bits of sleep and threw the blanket over your legs,your bare feet gently hitting the cold wooden floor of your bedroom.Tip-toeing out of your room you left to go grab a glass of cold water.Once you had gotten your glass,you poured the water in,brought up the glass to meet your lips and took a sip.Warm arms snaked around your waist,Matt’s head now buried into your neck.He let out an incoherent mumble as you put the glass back onto the counter.Matt lifted his head,his brown hair tickling your neck. “Why’d ‘ya leave?” He asked,looking genuinely confused. “M’throat hurts.” You whispered back the response.He sighed,placing his head back onto your shoulder. “Poor baby.” He mumbled,placing his lips gently on your bare shoulder in a kiss.Your cheeks heat up,a small blush clouding them. “No,No I’m fi-” You brought your arm to cover your mouth,coughing. “Fine.” You finished.Matt rolled his eyes. “Sure you are.” He replied a bit sarcastically.Out of no where,he knelt down,pulling you up with his arms bridal style. “Eek!” You squeak out as he starts walking back to your bedroom. “Let me take care of you.” He paused,looking at you. “Yeah?” You nodded,feeling a bit embarrassed.He gently pushed open your door,placing you back in your bed.He pulled the blanket up to your chin and sat on the edge of the bed. “What do you wanna watch baby?” He asked,grabbing your remote and looking over his shoulder to stare at you.You shrugged. “Whatever’s Fine.” You whispered.He nodded and put on a random show.Matt walked over,kissed your forehead and said. “I’ll be back a’ight?” He said,you nodded. “Mhm.” You hummed.

After a few minuets Matt had came back with a grocery bag.He sat next to you on the other side of the bed and pulled out what was in the bag,listing them as he put them on the white bedsheet. “Cold medicine,Chocolate,starbursts.” He paused,then asked. “I can get more,you want more?” He asked.You let out a small giggle. “No,No,Matt.” You shook your head as you sat up. “You’ve done enough.” You smile,Matt smiled back.

After getting comfortable with Matt,all snuggled up,you watched the show,eating the chocolate he had bought. “Love you Matt.” You said,looking up at him.He gave a small grin. “Love you to,babe.” He said and kissed your head.
