the backstory

it started out casual, maybe a little flirting. recently you and matthew sturniolo, a youtuber with seven million subscribers from sitting in a car and being the quiet one amoung his brothers. they recently went on a tour, it lasted a month, you always knew them, Matt was obviously your favorite, you related to him so much, you were quiet, shy, had trouble with anxiety, and didn't talk as much. you usually had panic attacks out of a random if you didn't feel good enough for something.

your friend, alaska, was a huge fan, liked every post, watched every video every friday, and reposted the same things as them. you didn't really think much of it, but alaska had bought two-hundred-fifty dollar tickets to go to their tour, though you didn't really want to go. but you complied, going with her for company. but many times during the show, you and matt locked eyes. since you and alaska chose front row seats, you had a perfect view of the stage.

this was the los angeles tour, the last one of the fifteen different surprises they went on. after the show, alaska dragged you to the meet and greet since she paid already. you stood there when alaska got the photo with them alone, as you wanted some alone too. as alaska leaves, you walk up to them, giving nick a hug, complimenting his outfit, chris a hug, complimenting his hair, and then matt, you lock eyes, his blue eyes searching yours. he smiles, asking your name. "y/n." you say, smiling back, pulling him into a tight hug. he hugs you back as you hug him. it lasts a little too long. you pull away, posing for the picture. you stop in your tracks, forgetting you made something for matt. "wait," you say, pulling out a softly knitted sweater, a leaf, and mr.wrinkleton on it. before showing it to him, he looks surprised. "i made this for you," you gesture to the sweater, holding it up for him. he smiles, truly amazed by your talent. he takes it from you as you hand it to him. he tugs it on, posing for the picture. you turn and smile, posing for the picture also. matt looked at you just as the picture snapped, his eyes focused on your features, soft brown hair, pretty eyes, perfect lips. it was all adorable to him. he was clearly intrigued by you, he had never felt attracted to anyone so much in his life before. and it stung when you began to walk away. he turns to chris and nick, "i'll be right back," before turning to walk towards you. he smiles softly, tapping your shoulder as you walk. you come to a halt, turning to him. "oh, hey.." you say, a bit shy at first, obviously. "thank you for the sweater. it's really cute." he gestures, taking his hand off your arm. "your welcome." you say, he asks out of the ordinary, "can i maybe get your number?" you pause, yout breath hitching in your throat. matthew sturniolo just asked for YOUR number. oh my god. "uh, yeah.. sure." you say back, smiling as you give him a sticky note with your number on it. he puts it in his pocket and waves goodbye, walking back to the meet and greet. you didn't tell alaska, knowing she'd freak out. but you were dying inside, shocked beyond belief.

a few hours after the tour, you guys go back home. you scroll on your phone as you get a text from a number you didn't recognize, it was probably matt.

you smile, your text go back and forth, getting to know eachother. everytime you told alaska you were going out, it was to hang out with him. which was still too much to break onto her.

as you and matt talk through texts, he falls in love. head over heels for you, constantly calling you names, smiling, touching your waist, and secretly, you loved it. you couldn't resist his touch, it was so engraving on your skin, like his hands were meant to be on you. finally, you get the text message that you honestly have been waiting for. it had been a month since tour.

y/n.. i've been wanting to ask you this for awhile, but ive always been so nervous. i really like you, and wondered if you would go out on a date with me?

you said yes, of course. the date went just as planned, it was cute, adorable even. he was sweet, generous, and touchy. just how you like it. you broke the news to alaska, who was bonkers about it, but it slowly passed throughout a week of going on dates, so you two decided to make it official, on your end, but not going fully public.

you and matt had planned to go on a nature walk, then a picnic date. you dressed sweetly, so did he. you guys were walking and talking, before you reached the picnic. it was near a lake under a large tree, some shadow peeking into the yard. you gasp, loving the scenery. "oh my god matt, it's so pretty here. all the flowers and stuff." you giggle, pulling matt into a hug before sitting on the cute picnic tarp, you open the basket to see your favorite made sandwich, opening it and taking a bite. "this is amazing matt, i love it." you say, he wipes the jelly from your lip, staring into your eyes like you were the only person in the world. "i knew you'd like it, sweetheart. it's the best spot in LA, i always come here to just sit and watch the lake or write my thoughts." he says, he stares at your features as you finish your sandwich, you turn to him. "really? so it's your special place?" you ask, smiling sweetly. "yep, i haven't let anyone come here but you, since your my special person, baby." i giggle, not responding using words, not knowing exactly how to. he was so sweet. you guys finish the food, now you guys are cuddled up on the tarp, watching the stars. his grip on your waist was tight, as if you were going to disappear if he let go. he turned to you. his eyes flickered from your eyes to your lips, and you noticed. you wondered if he wanted to kiss you or if you were just being stupid. you did have lipstick on. you two just stared, and he made the first move. he smiled at you, his right hand cupping your face, he leaned it, softly placing his lips against yours. it wasn't needy, it was impatient. it was slow, soft, memorable, passionate, it was beautiful. the perfect first kiss for you. he pulled back, smiling softly at you, pulling you tighter into his embrace. you never wanted this to end, ever.
