At this point I'm convinced Carmy argues with Sydney (at the drop of a hat) because he thinks he can't have sex with her.

This is long so putting it under a cut if you’re tired of my nonsense .

having watched it a couple of times it has a lot of what i was wanting out of the new season (anti sydcarmies/ pro clairecarmys maybe scroll on by, in fact just block me now because I’m gonna be a lot over #SydcarmySummer 🤣Observations in sequence with the trailer:

-unexpected but I like: -was nice seeing a Carmy flashback with Mikey, and just them

-note the Carmy list of aims for the restaurant that Nat picks up- ‘Focus’ is at the end of the list underlined . Hmm yeah we all know about Carmy’s S2 pledge to focus. He meant that ish!

-yes Claire’s back, we knew that but … it doesn’t look great for Clairecarmy- Fak again having to (choosing to) act as their relationship Emotional Support Fak, and try convince? her Carmy ‘loves her’. But even Fak who supposedly is rooting for them can’t bring himself to say ‘Carmy is in love with you’ (because that would be CAP)

-Then in the scene straight after you have Carmy telling his whole crew he told Claire he ‘couldn’t waste his time’(with their relationship). As Uncle Jimmy says straight after, yikes!

is this them basically reassuring claircarmy antis in the trailer that they’re dunzo, you can press play on S3 relaxed?(well for The Bear)lmao? Ok thankyouuuu

-aww carmy looking at photos of Mikey and his mom. He A- does have personal belongings hah, and B- does miss his mom?, trauma aside. Maybe, hopefully, Donna can be better for him.

-ahahaha sydcarmies we won! (a battle if not the war) - the invitation to partner for Syd- that man wants Syd as a permanent fixture and key part of his life and business. Suxxx for the sydhaters lmao.

-and yaaayyy it looks like Syd‘s definitely looking at the partnership agreement in her newly moved into apartment 🤗 Congratzzzz babe

-aww the subtle intimacy of Sydney being over at Natalie and Pete’s when he’s in his PJs. To bring them some food when they’ve got the new baby? Like Carmy said

She’s soooo part of the family now (the not dysfunctional part lol) . Well she already was by the time she was invited in for the pre friends and family soft open ‘let it rip’ 🥹

-yay Syd and Marcus spending time together outside of the restaurant AS FRIENDS. The stoop they’re sat on , the house has a for sale sign - maybe random, but maybe Marcus family stuff related …

-Carmy powerhosing the backyard- why? Are syd and him regularly throwing up (eww) back there out of stress? I hope not- please reflect on your triggers and work on better coping strategies and stress management guise! 🥺 (who are the two guys in the mural outside? Chicago celebrities? A band?)

-Tina enjoying going to the Farmers market and sampling food 🥹, yay sous chef Tina

-Syd meeting with the Forks restaurant head chef- yess Sydney!, make those industry links, mingle, network! (though she already had good relationships in the industry as we saw on her food tour & meeting former colleagues). As others have wanted , really want it to be clear that staying at The Bear for Sydney is a choice - she’s a talent and can go elsewhere if and when she wants .

-I love that one of the critics on the office wall looks like a kid, but probably has a huge online following and they’ll have to work hard to impress her like anyone else - bet will be a funny scene/ moment

-lol a clairecarmy scene (house party?) where they both look miserable. Oh dear (though it kind of looks like flashback Carmy? They have him in a collared polo shirt the type he was wearing in Fishes, and his hair looks styled like then. Oh well, not right then…not right now

-oh wow Carmy wearing a suit. Whyyyyy. Industry event? Actually going somewhere for a night out/ something social? Good for him! ~manifesting him and syd dressing up to attend a friend’s new place opening or something~.

-Jimmy asking where is his damn money lmao. Can you blame him tho, and still investing after the tomato can debacle. He’s a good egg

-Carmy at the airport. Guessing a flashback to him going to work abroad before. Good - want to see more of that part of his past

-not Carmy’s raggedy azz taunting(flirting with) Syd saying ‘this is what you wanted’? Likely in response to her concern over his perfectionist quest to get a star like she wanted. Yes,and Carmy?! It’s still not an excuse for you to have one of your lil freakouts babe. Lol

Overall I’d say - happy with what the trailer is foreshadowing , though of course there’s plenty to come including surprises…
