In case you haven't heard (which you probably did, ha!) Nastygal is giving one blessed and grateful person a $10,000 gift card to use towards the brand! So who's in!?

My roommates and I participated in a Cotton Inc. scholarship at FIDM. The task was to create a product line based on a sport, and make it capable of being worn during the sport, but also marketable enough that one would wear it to a lunch date.
Our sport was Hip Hop!
Here is a collage of photos of our process throughout the competition: from concept to product.
Pretty proud of us for putting together a garment that possessed both form and function.

Top finger rings are strongly emerging as a trend. Many approve of the look, while others don't find it appealing.
I personally do not like the look. Wearing rings where you're supposed to will always be in acceptable because of all the different "styles" of rings companies offer, they also do not restraint your finger like the top finger rings do. But everyone is open to their own sense of uniqueness.

Yesterday decision.
I willingly spent my whole day yesterday at the FIDM Loft in Downtown and participated the open lab that they have on every Friday. It really inspired me! So I decided that every Friday from 9:30-5pm (lab hours), I will be at the Lofts working on garments for my fall line. "It's better to start your career early, rather than waiting until you graduate." -Fashion Munster, Isaiah Garza projected during our last PTK meeting. Also, considering how fast my first year at FIDM has gone, makes me even more motivated and I wanting not to waste another minute!
Look for my name.

Fact: Most 'lace featured products' sold in todays market are not actually lace. It is called Raschel, which is similar to lace, but less expensive.

I don't care what anyone says! Bows will never go out of style!
They're that cute little touch to any outfit.
There are so many ways you can rock a bow- in your hair, on your skirt, your belt, blouse, YOU NAME IT!

Maxi skirts are definitely in right now.
They are one of the main trends of this year!
