Schiaparelli Spring 2024 RTW Collection
This is Schiaparelli's ready-to-wear collection, so that means we saw a lot of looks that was meant to be worn off the red carpet! The collection was beautiful, and featured many pieces with the keyhole cut out:
The fashion house further had Kylie Jenner wearing a piece with the new keyhole cutout:

Fashion house designer, Daniel Rosebury, did not forget to add his iconic surrealism pieces throughout the collection, such as the over-the-top giant, gold crab necklace:
Rosebury even included an oversized, gold lobster necklace that pays homage to the 1937 lobster dress, designed by Elsa Schiaparelli in collaboration with Salvador Dali:
The reference piece is as follows:

Of course, this piece is a part of fashion history, as Salvador Dali famously painted the lobster directly on the dress.
One of my favorite interpretations of the lobster theme is this draped, lobster skirt:
It is a great example of high fashion in the ready-to-wear sector that still offers exciting pieces.
Creamy, silk slips were also featured in the collection:
As well as traditional fabrics such as velvet:
Making the fashion house's ready-to-wear collection still accessible and realistic for the everyday lover of high fashion.
Two pieces that were most exciting to me were these tops with over-dramatic, ruffle collars:
I especially loved this look that featured an oversized, low rise trouser, showing off a Schiaparelli brief with a gold, keyhole layout. Paired with the cream colored blazer featuring a chunky gold chain, it shows that Schiaparelli may do ready-to-wear, but it doesn't have to be boring!

Anrealage UV color changing clothes
Perhaps one of my favorite trends of the industry is integrating fashion with technology! Anrealage has, once again, stunned audiences with their UV light color-changing clothing.

What at first appears to be simple, solid-colored clothing actually turns out to be a futuristic approach to fashion. Using a UV light, Anrealage reveals the bright colors and bold patterns of the garments.

Garments were made from photochromatic materials, which changes color when exposed to the sun's UV rays.
I love the juxtaposition of the 50's-inspired lines with the futuristic tech of UV sensitive materials in the Anrealage collection.

The way simple white pieces shift to brightly colored garments in the sun shows the way these pieces actually can evolve over the course of the seasons. The more intense the sunrays are, the more intense the colors of the garment will be. I love how this gives the garment a huge tonal range, appropriate with whatever season you are in.

Wiederhoeft Spring 2024 was easily one of the most exciting shows of New York Fashion Week. As lovers of the brand knows, Wiederhoeft specializes in kitschy fashion, with huge emphasis on dramatic bridal fashion. The show included pieces with their iconic appliques and beadwork, such as the oversized beaded bow on white gown, or my personal favorite, the intricately beaded white skirt with matching gloves.

The brand is also adding a wholesale fashion line, which means that we also got to see more simple designs such as this silk gown and tailored suits with strong lines.
The line also included some simple shirts, one of which was the "security tank," which has already become the most wanted piece from the collection.
My favorite look from the show is definitely this graffiti-looking jacket and pant set, paired with the crystal underbust corset top.
The blend of commercial pieces with Wiederhoeft's usual quirky pieces is the brand's way of showing that they have a look for everyone.
Notable guest at the show was Julia Fox, dressed in a classic Wiederhoeft micro-mini corset bridal dress, styled with an extremely dramatic veil (which I absolutely love) and a mini purse embroidered with "till death do us part." I definitely love how daring the veil is, especially paired with extreme platforms!

Denim on denim? While it may be considered a fashion faux pa, there are ways to glam up your look. Take some inspiration from Prada's style board by pairing your denim-on-denim look with a mesh/rhinestone crop top. By adding a little sparkle to your look, you can level up the classic denim look!
