“Just remember that you are, without realising it, writing your life story every single day. And as long as you remember that and take caution of all your choices, that will make you take implied risks and better yourselves.”
Happy 27th Birthday, Liam Payne! (29th August 1993)

In what world could Camille possibly be upset about FL? He takes all the blame(even admits he cheated) and she is portrayed in the most flattering way,I don’t get her on this, maybe on her bf behalf because of Cherry but still the FL version of the relationship is positive to her, some fans(even Larries) changed their minds about her because of it! She has the right to say whatever she wants ofc I just don’t get the bitterness!
Let me preface my answer by saying that Harry, or any artist, is free to use their personal experience within their art. They also can manipulate it, idealize it, and interpret through their own lens what happened to them, whether it’s fictionalizing it, making something rhyme, or - let’s be honest - excusing themselves or rationalizing their own behaviour through the lens of history.
Yes, for the most part, I don’t think he portrayed Camille in a negative light. But can we for one second - outside of praising Harry for what we interpret as some sort of soul baring revelation - look at it from Camille’s POV?
She has been out of this relationship for longer than she was in it. She, as far as we know, has been in her current relationship with Theo for longer than she was with Harry. It’s not a stretch to say she’s over it. So this album has not only revived something in her past, but the result of that is thus:
A past relationship has now been dragged into the public consciousness again.
The result of that (from things I have seen across all social media) has refocused her as the target of some really vile accusations and speculations from those who accuse her STILL of being some sort of beard, golddigger, fame wh***, ad nauseum.
Harry quite clearly shaded her current boyfriend - which was a very petty shot.
Harry has been able to put his own interpretation of their relationship into the public sphere and can spin it however he wants, while she does not have this kind of platform. Keep in mind - there were two people in this relationship, there are two valid interpretations of what occurred.
He revealed some very intimate things about them - yes, he may have phrased them poetically (or not, depending on how you view it) - but nonetheless, some people may not be comfortable with things like their sexual relations being exposed for general consumption. That is a very valid feeling to have.
Harry’s fandom is, to say the least, extremely entitled and demanding of KNOWING things. To have her personal life revealed in this way, despite what I acknowledge is a perfectly valid exercise of his creative output, can STILL feel very intrusive. She has every damn right to not like it.
And finally - I think it’s fair to say that her experience of the events of their time together could vastly differ from Harry’s. She could very validly look at the things he says in this album and go “Wait a second, dude… why couldn’t you manage to muster that insight at the time? It’s great that you are all so introspective NOW, but at the time, when it might have made a difference, you didn’t. So don’t romanticize all this now.”
So, while you may give Harry every benefit of the doubt - because that’s what Harries do - why not give the same validity to Camille? She has every right to feel how she feels about their relationship and the aftermath and this entire album. It’s equally valid as Harry’s interpretation, through the lens of retrospect. And only the two of them were in it. They are the only ones who know how it all played out and pretending like Fine Line is some sort of historical document, without artistic interpretation, and/or Harry not trying to sound like the bad guy (outside of ONE LINE admitting that he may have strayed) is naive and idealistic.

“There was one night where we’d been partying a bit and ended up going down to the beach and I lost all my stuff, basically,” he says. “I lost all my clothes. I lost my wallet. Maybe a month later, somebody found my wallet and mailed it back, anonymously. I guess it just popped out of the sand. But what’s sad is, I lost my favorite mustard corduroy flares.” ↳Harry Styles for Rolling Stone Magazine (Sept 2019)
