Hot take maybe but most of y’all would not like Dally in the movie if he was more book accurate (looks and personality wise)

AND he beats up kids for fun

I feel like a lot of people skimmed over the part of the book where Ponyboy got a concussion and was so loopy and in a state of denial that he was trying to convince himself and his school friends that Johnny was not dead and that it was him, not Johnny who killed Bob. It really is tragic that so many people just boil this part of the book down to “Oh, Ponyboy just got a concussion” ITS SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT.

He really was just a 14 year old boy who went through hell all in one week.
