SENIOR JS SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Who are we?

Style Me is an online booking platform that doubles as a virtual assistant and search engine for hair, beauty, wellness businesses in Accra, Ghana. Our aim is to give clients the ability to search, book, pay and review a hair/beauty stylist (business) within minutes. Additionally, we strive to help businesses and entrepreneurs track sales with simple analytics, receive and respond to reviews for professional improvement, have access to many of our marketing tools and other fantastic features.

Our company is seeking to hire a skilled Software Developer to help with the development of our current projects. Your duties will primarily revolve around building software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces. You will also be involved in directing system testing and validation procedures, and also working with customers or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.

We want a fun person who is /has:

Solid intuition on what makes good quality code

Curiosity, and a willingness to learn and talk about emerging technologies

Experience with infrastructures at scale

A motivated individual with a track record of solving hard problems and getting things done

Smarts, humility, and equal willingness to learn and teach.

What you'll be up to:

Modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces.

Directing system testing and validation procedures.

Directing software programming and documentation development.

Consulting with departments or customers on project status and proposals.

Working with customers or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.

Analyzing information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications of an existing system.

Preparing reports on programming project specifications, activities, or status.

Conferring with project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities.

Your superpowers:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree.

Knowledge of the software development life-cycle.

Creativity is always a plus.

Must be a full-stack developer and understand concepts of software engineering.

Experience working on a variety of software development projects.

Proficient knowledge in JavaScript Node, Angular or React

Deep programming language knowledge
