Salt and light changes the atmosphere not by doing anything but by being. 



Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Matthew 5:13

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16

Salt needs to be in direct contact to make a difference in the process of preserving. You are called to what is perishing to what is dying. Stop asking God to remove you from people and situations. Ask him to strengthen you for the assignment. All it takes is a little bit of salt to make a difference, however if you become like the people you are called to preserve, you lose your saltiness and your witness!

Be set apart - The enemy will try to convince you that your efforts are pointless, be encouraged hold fast to your confession. “God will get the glory out of my life”

It may not look like it on the surface however, just your presence alone is changing the dynamic of the situation. The darkest room is illuminated by your light. Don’t listen to the lies of the enemy focusing on how dark it is, but ask the Holy Spirit to show you how your light is making an impact, a difference in the environments you are in. Ask the Lord to open the eyes of your understanding that you may truly see.

Remember you’re on an assignment.

Jesus said I do way before I ever did. His love is unconditional and he paid a price knowing that I would reject him, then cheat on him after I said yes. Falling countless times in between the years, yet his love was always there wiping away my tears.
