My favorite animal is a shark. I have an eidetic memory. I read a lot of books about war. Maybe that’s not surprising now that I think about it, the Claringtons are military. Perking his head up, Riley looked up at his Domme when she spoke to him and nodded. She was the only person that he would look in the face, because he couldn’t bare to with his condition. The same condition that stopped him from being able to recognize people’s facial features, prosopagnosia, that he’d been told by his parents to never let anyone find out about outside of his trusted circle because people could use it against him. He did feel a little ashamed. Quickly and carefully, he placed himself in Campbell’s lap and rested against her. “Am I going to be in trouble, Miss?”

Another day, another agenda. Well, in this instance, the same agenda. I just haven’t finished serving it yet. Yesterday, we made headway in the sense that some dialogue was begun and I do believe that some form of solution has been found. Now it is not a full solution, nor a permanent one that I find suitable enough, but it is a starter. What I need now is for all submissives (and Switches) that would like it to be known that they are open to being given orders to reply to this post. I will compile a list and make that readily available to all. In addition, I require all Dominants (and Switches) that would like unclaimed submissives (and Switches) to know that they are open to giving orders. That way, if someone wishes to serve, they know who to ask without risking rejection or wasting too much time looking for an appropriate higher mark. Be warned, this is a doorway to the old ways. If you put yourself on this list, you are saying that you won’t complain if someone randomly messages you without warning with orders. It also means that you won’t find a problem with or hesitate when anyone coming to you on their knees. 

Everyone should be answering this, it’s not as if our marks and the roles that come with them are brand new. Our world has always been based on the most basic power dynamic. This should be second nature to all. In fact, I will be disappointed if nobody thinks this post shouldn’t even be necessary.

I am quite proud of you, Eleanor, for ensuring your beliefs are heard, your needs are met, and that the needs of your peers are being both seen and addressed. You have brought forth a number of pertinent and credible arguments over the past couple of days, and for that you have my support, darling. While I am unable to agree with the necessity to return to things as they once were, I most certainly can agree with the disappointment in how things have looked as of late, as well as the abhorrent nature of some of the treatment I have seen submissives and Dominants alike receive. This was not the intention, this was not the purpose, and a society in which those who seek it are unable to find ways for their needs to be met is not one I wish to reside in. Reading over some previous commentary, I cannot help but to believe that many of your points have been removed from their intended context, in order to be manipulated into askings which they are not. Usually, Riley attended events like this with his head pointed towards the floor because it was less overwhelming that way. But this event was different because the masks leveled the playing field. Now he wasn’t the only one that couldn’t recognize anyone, his brain condition wasn’t making him different. Still, when he was addressed his first instinct was to prickle and he felt a chill run through him before reality got over anxiety and he recognized the voice. “This one isn’t so bad, I actually like the Masquerade. Is that you?”
