Imagine loving a guy so much you almost kill yourself to find his baby boy in a tsunami, you claw at the earth when you think you've lost him forever, you crawl under a fire truck to drag his bleeding body to safety with an actual sniper shooting your way, you accept the fact he put you down as his boy's legal guardian in case he dies with barely a protest, you agonise when he quits being your job partner, you take said son to the zoo all the time, you get jealous like a dog pissing on a tree when he has a new friend, you're there when he begs you to fix something you can't fix and you can only hold on to his shoulder to try and shoot the pain, you go to him the second some ugly man dumps you, you throw a hissy fit about him leaving to Texas and sabotage his house showing, and then, you cave. You cave and you give up your housing situation to help him, you move into his house and you let him go. You let him go because you love him that much.

And he looks at you like you set his world on fire and built it back anew, and you hope he looks through the rearview as he drives away, hoping he'll miss you half as much as you'll miss him.

He will. You were struck by the same lightning, you'll forever share a heartbeat.

That episode had so many things that I love about 911 and the characters. We got a few calls, we got Madney moments, we got Maddie and Athena interacting, we got Buck and Eddie on FaceTime multiple times, we got character growth from Eddie, we got to hear about how much Bobby loves Eddie, we got some beloved recurring characters.

It's fun, it's emotional, it's silly, it's beautiful. The back half of season 8 has been some of my favourite 911 since s5 and it's so nice to tune and see the a show that feels so much more like the show that I fell in love with.

I know it’s been said many times by now but these two really are SO gone for each other, freak4freak loser4loser ENDGAME and I feel like it was even more apparent this episode when most of the Buck we see was via FaceTime calls from Eddie’s perspective. You’re telling me the previous episode Buck was spinning out and also talking up Eddie so hard and this episode he seems so put together and Eddie is the mess?? It’s bc it was Eddie’s POV and I am GRATEFUL for it

maddie buckley-han is such a BoB. buck says “i should call him” and maddie eagerly agrees “yes, you should call eddie” but then when buck says “no, i should call tommy” maddie is all “you should learn to be alone.”

maddie is literally saying “it’s eddie or no one” and she’s so real for it!!!!

For me, I think "It's not nothing" was a more romantic line than "You do matter to me." We KNOW Buck matters to Eddie. They're best friends! Of course he matters. There are a lot of ways that one person can matter to another person, and like 95% of them are platonic. But "It's not nothing" has a bigger implication, imo. It means more than just, "I'm going to miss you." It means something closer to, "I'm going to miss you more than I should." It means, "There's something bigger here than I really know how to talk about." It means, "You think it's easy for me to leave you, but it's not."

ngl lowkey disappointed but unsurprised they did another redeeming shitty parents moment. Bobby is fit to be a hater I was stanning



although I will say on another note it was so fun seeing Peter Krause flex his acting skills in that final convo with his mom. I forget we are in the midst of greatness and that reminded me
