Bold.org Finding scholarships and Grad School Announcement!
Bold.org Finding scholarships and Grad School Announcement!
Hi everyone, it’s been a while since I posted. Like a long while. Oh gosh. Anyways, I wanted to give you all an update on where I’ve been and what has changed in my life. First, I graduated with my BA in May 2019 and was working full time. Then Covid hit and I was furloughed. Using my newfound free time, I earned my 200hr Yoga teacher certification and am currently working on my 300hr. I will…

Where’d You go Bernadette?
So this is a book I’ve toyed with reading for years. Like I’d always pick it up at Barnes and Noble and think I should get that but I’d find another book that I wanted more so back on the shelf it went. The only reason I bought a copy was because it was on sale at Target and I knew everyone was about to be quarantined for a while.
Side note here: I hope everyone is holding up with these…

Valley of the Dolls Review Over 50 years ago Jacqueline Susann’s “Valley of the Dolls” was a shocking book that showed an ugly light on the experiences of women in the 40s and 50s.

Unleash the Night and Dark Side of the Moon Review
It’s been a while since I finished a romance novel and thanks to audible I was able to finish 2 in a weekend. Before I get into my thoughts on Sherrilyn Kenyons 10th and 11th installments in the Dark Hunter Series I want to talk a little about audible. Since I graduated college in May and started working full time, I haven’t had the time to sit down and read a book. Really. I only sat down and…

Lean In For Graduates Review
Lean In For Graduates Review
Sheryl Sandberg’s debut book Lean In got a lot of shit when it first came out. Feminists were furious that Sandberg played into the patriarchy to get ahead and that she came from a privileged background. However, when I actually read Lean In Sandberg addresses these concerns head on and even explains that her path to success is not universal but that she hopes to pass on the lessons she learned…

Rachel Hollis
Last May, I graduated from college. This summer I worked my first big girl job as a retail salesperson. I was extremely unhappy with my situation and was looking for something, anything that would change my life. And then I read it. Rachel Hollis’ newest book Girl, Stop Apologizing. That book struck a chord with me that nothing else has. Through various exercises and visualizations (and witty…

Sins of the Night Review This is the seventh installment of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. By now you all know I love Kenyon's universe, characters and story telling but hate the names of her characters.

Unhinged Review
As a book blogger I try to stick to fiction (namely romance) to review, I try not to get political. Even though I read (and loved Michael Wolff’s) Fire and Fury, I didn’t post about it. So why review Unhinged? First I think Omarosa is not given enough credit in the media. Yes she’s a reality T.V. star but she has done so much more with her life. Second, I have a feeling that Unhinged will be the…

Seize the Night Review Without meaning to I've been consistently reading the Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. This week's read is Seize the Night, the sixth book in the series.

Night Play Review This week's book is the fifth installment of Sherrilyn Kenyon's dark-hunter series. Instead of focusing on the many dark-hunters in this fantasy world, this book features Vane who is essentially a werewolf.

Dance with the Devil Review
Dance with the Devil Review
Hey guys I’m back! It’s been a long time since I’ve actually read a book, let alone one I enjoy. For those of you who are keeping up with my posts Malfoy is doing great and is super playful. He’s actually trying to “help” me write this post.
Anyways if you follow this blog and what I post you know by now that I love a good paranormal/fantasy romance more than anything else and to me there are two…

Hi friends, I’m back! I unintentionally took a hiatus from blogging but the end of the semester was super crazy. I will be back to reviewing books soon though, I promise.
Two weeks ago, I had to put my cat, Snowflake, down. She was 16 years old and had cancer on her ear. I was truly devastated and still am. Losing your pet is like losing a family member. She had such a big personality and I miss her so much. There will never be another cat like Snowflake.
The day after we put Snowflake down, one of my neighbors reached out to my mom. They had found a stray kitten wandering around the woods with no mother to be found. My mom asked if I would be willing to take care of it.
And that’s how Malfoy entered our lives. When we got him, he was only 4 weeks old and had to be bottle fed. On his first day, he bit the nipple off the bottle! Cats that young also need to be stimulated before they go to the bathroom and I never imagined that when I got a kitten I would have to wipe it’s butt before it peed. He is growing steadily and doing really well. He is a totally different cat from Snowflake and is definitely not her replacement. Malfoy is a great cuddler and has a ton of energy.

Hi Guys! As you know my mom writes for Harlequin and on Tuesday her newest book came out. She actually came up to Oneonta for the book launch and I just wanted to share some of the pictures I had from the event. Like last time I will not review the book because there is no way for me to give an unbiased opinion. Right now I am just a super proud daughter.

The Sum of All Kisses Review
The Sum of All Kisses Review
Hi guys! Let me just say that this month has been crazy. Its midterms so my focus has been on school rather than on my blog and I’m actually kind of sad about it. Anyways, this book took me longer to read than I anticipated (as you know you did not get two Julia Quinn book reviews last week). The story itself is entertaining and I was really impressed with the hero Hugh Prentice. It was nice to…

Successful Walk for FORCE
Pi Delta Chi held our annual Walk for FORCE this past Sunday. It was a huge success! We raised $258 for our philanthropy FORCE, or Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered. Check out our philanthropy page for more information on this incredible nonprofit organization!
Our philanthropy chair then continued to donate more money from Pi Delta Chi, reaching a grand total of $444.97! We are so thankful for all those who showed up to support our philanthropy and for making this large donation possible!
Images included are from tabling the week up to the event and from the event itself. Enjoy <3
