So I made a couple of dummy stories to test something out: one was supposed to be a bunch of gifs I made before while the other is just a couple of paragraphs taken from one of my own random blog posts and a random piece of art to go with it. I left everything else empty, no summary, no characters, nada--just filed it under no fandom and creator choose not to use archive warnings and backdated it to a year, which meant under the no fandom tags, meant it was buried under thousands of other stories and posts, meaning there was no way somebody can just stumble on these two works unless they were systematically crawling through newly submitted stories (somehow?). I somehow expected the one with gifs to get a bunch of hits because that was, I was testing for--I got a suspicious amount of hits in an amount of time but the one that had not gifs somehow got three hits. It should've stayed zero. I was planning to leave it up for a month to see the results but I deleted both after about five days because of how pissed off I was. If these happened to a couple of posts that no one should be interested in, then it's probably happening to all my real stuff. It would explain the stupid spikes I sometimes or maybe other dumb stuff I keep experiencing (random subscriptions to finished works, ones that get absolutely no signs of kudos/comments/any implication an actual human read whatever was on the work.) I think that was what was pissing me off, the indication that no living soul looked at it or cared enough, those are empty, meaningless numbers (for what? a mistake caused by reloading? malicious trawling by scrapers?). It hit a raw nerve that still raw after all these months (years?).
The kudos vs hits one is just stupidly transparent a mistake. Yes, it's totally possible given twice the number of likes than the number times a work is visited.

I'll probably be using the next few somethings refining her design to have something I'd be kinda happy to draw with as I get try again to get used to drawing on this tablet—I bit the bullet and got version 3 upgrades for CSP Pro while sale—mostly for the ease of font usage--you can finally search for them instead of having to scroll down dozens of lists—still no option to make actually interface bigger? I don't relish having to squint all the time. Can't I zoom into the font list or something. This is the version for desktop. As for the Android version:
I thought having the ability 2 draw on da go would up my productivity, at the past months of doing nothing but just using the tablet to read stuff, I'm mostly marveling at anyone can draw anything on these things. I spent the first two drawing seething with frustration constantly encountering stuff like "air commands" (apparently I don't have right S Pen) and trying to work out why every two seconds it would switch color pallet to white/erase; after cursing the damn thing it seems like an issue with the pen dropper command--a potentially useful tool except turning off finger mode does not affect its ability to somehow detect the flat skin of my drawing hand but still won't detect the pressure of the stylus itself? ie it's fucking useless! Also, why doesn't CSP have a flip horizontal shortcut on the canvas itself? Yes, I'm already using Simple Mode. What is this! Just put a flip button there somewhere or at least give me the option to put it there.
I've been trying other art programs some time back and I've encountered some problems with either accessibilty, features or just ads.
Skill issue, yeah, and brother I have issues with these skills.
How about this, then. I was thinking that I've gone this long without ever saying her name that it has to be a big deal when I finally do it. Meanwhile I wanna see if anyone can guess it. I'm gonna give ten American dollaridos via Paypal to anyone who can guess her name AND the (male, that's a clue right there!) Robot Master that inspired her. Offer open until April 3 or when I finally namedrop her, which is gonna happen in a tablet test doodle comic, whichever comes first. Really, probably the April deadline. I was gonna say end of March/start of April but people might think I'm joking because of April Fools. I'm not. Mostly I'd be impressed if anyone has cared enough to follow along and try.

I keep thinking about doodling one of her backstory scenes to get back into the groove but I STILL haven't settled on her or any of her teammates' designs.

"Cossack Concession" is about Cossack Laboratories running a beach concession stand but also about making Cossack(s) concede.
Just like the title of this comic.

No, it's not.

The title is "Boys Do Falling Love". What a dumbass.

Probably my biggest failure ever but not emotionally so it doesn't hurt as much.

One of my first ideas for "I! Love! You!" was the opening for the comic would Toad, Tundra and Bounce make all sorts of jumping puns because they all do some version of it, in between teasers of future story events. Used that idea for this art so instead of bouncing puns ("Jump for joy!"), the trio just say the title.
I've had this story idea for a very long time. Unlike my "original" Tundra ideas, Bounce's version for Miyabi's fanart contest almost stayed exactly the same, with only some tweaks to fit the theme. The only part not shown/alluded in the comic are the Kalinka's/the Cossacks' part that's mostly because neither Spark nor Scythe cared to remember them.
Megaman Fanart contest (barely an) AU of "I! Love! You" of "Because I Love You" or the part the I submitted "Bringin' out the animal in me" still remains my biggest art failure.
Happy Leap Day. Time to leap into a pit or whatever.

Absolutely horseshit how good Shadow Man's prompt looks in comparison when done in 1000 x 1000 in 1 layer and 10 minutes.
I was also switching brushes for each one and for the Sponge Cola Trilogy one, I chose some watercolor washes. After all this time, I still don't feel wholly comfortable with digital brushes.I've been using some tablets and while with using the XP-Pen, it's generally smoother with Frenden's brushes, I lost the little edge/grip I got from Huion's 610 Pro. It's like drawing with socks on marble floor. Most of all, I'm frustrated that I keep losing pen pressure through many tablet changes and even jumping computer systems.
I keep looking at stuff I made over three years/near four years and I feel I've plateaued. OTOH, I haven't drawing much--totally lost the drive for a variety of reasons--and the little I do, I very much don't like. All I keep wanting to do is redraw past stuff or pick up multiple stories that's been halted/dropped. I don't know what I'm doing on multiple levels. It's frustrating.
