Blacklock - Soho

In a small basement in the middle of Soho this ‘hidden’ gem is worth the trip. Their small menu of mostly chops means you know they do their one thing well. The ‘Chop sauce’, somewhere between gravy and peppercorn sauce, needs to be bottled and sold in all stores.

Would recommend.

Back to the Future - The Musical

Birthdays are a great excuse to go to theatre, and this one was worth the trip. The songs weren't all that memorable compared to some other shows, but the cast is great. The sets and production are where it really shines and the finale is up there with the chandelier drop from Phantom.

Would recommend.

Demi Lovato: HOLY FVCK

What we wanted from the new Avril Lavigne album. A more mature pop rock album with some real heart and a bit of punk sprinkled in for good measure. A real unexpected gem.

The Woodspeen

Michelin star restaurant 10 minutes away from my house. The steak is great, but we got food envy when the people beside us ordered the beef wellington to share. A great seasonal menu for special occasions.

Holiday Inn

Whilst advertised as a Christmas Film, is much less Christmassy than expected. Cant say this film has aged well, with some uncomfortable black face scenes. Overall very dull and outdated.

Would not recommend.

The Glass Onion

Daniel Craig’s performance is even better than Knives out, he has really settled into the character and feels comfortable pushing it a bit further. The supporting cast may not be as strong as the first, but its still a stellar film.
