Disney Fairy Legacy Challenge!
Welcome to the Disney Fairy Legacy Challenge! This challenge is inspired by the Tinkerbell movie series from Disney where each generation is based on Tinkerbell and her friends. If anyone knows me personally, they know I love Disney, so I decided to create a fun legacy challenge themed around one of my favorite series!
The sims do not have to be fairies (or dressed as them since this is sims 4 and we don’t have fairies…sadly). The legacy is just based on their special talents and personality.
Here are the basic rules:
Each heir of the generation must complete their career, aspiration, and their must-have skill(s) assigned to them (which represents their special talent from the movies such as Tinkerbell is a tinker fairy, so she must have the handiness skill).
You can live in whatever world you want unless there is one specified for a certain generation.
You do not have to name the heir after the fairy, but you can if you would like.
Keep the lifespan on normal lifespan.
Note: I gave each gen some favorite colors based on pictures of the characters. This is not nsb, so they do not have to dress in only those colors or live in a house of only those colors. They are just there to add some likes/dislikes to the personality.
You do not need to do the bonus challenge if a generation has one, but you can if you would like to!
If you stumble across this challenge and decide to try it out, feel free to share all the fun you are having with #Disneyfairylegacy
Generation One - Tinkerbell

Craig Mazin saying that David recognized himself in Ellie, that they both share a violent heart was one of the worst things I have ever heard in my life. No she is not, she a broken person, a kind soul who was dealt a really bad hand in life and is losing her mind. She is tragic.
really not vibing with how they drew out ellie and dina's romance. dina being pregnant was meant to show how far gone ellie is becoming by reacting to dina as if she's a burden and now it's just a cute little moment. doesn't really come off like ellie is losing herself

I kinda agree with this, but the problem is how Craig Mazin is writing Ellie, and how he sees her as being of "agressive nature". In his mind, she is not losing herself. (And I hate his take on her).

Best episode yet
First of all: SHIMMER IS ALIVE! I'm so attached to that horse, and I'm so glad they didn´t kill it, best change so far.
I also didn't expect to cry harder at Ellie singing than I did when Joel died, but that scene just really got me. Dina and I were twining. Also, Bella Ramsey is 100% my Ellie and I'll never change my mind.
The scene in the subway was so well done, I was tense for the whole time, and when Ellie got bit and Dina thought she had lost her, I felt it in my heart. I knew she wasn't going to shoot Ellie, but God was I scared.
And then we finally got it. THE scene. I like how it was made, how desperate Dina was, she couldn't believe she almost lost the chance to be with her girl. She has no idea how it's possible she is still alive, but thank God she is, and she'll never take Ellie for granted again. They immediately go from bffs to lovers, because they have been in love for so long. And of course in a world where so many things have been lost, homofobia is still going strong and ruining everything. They don't know what pride is, or that we used to have a whole month to celebrate people like them, but they still struggle with their sexuality just like we do. Even in the apocalypse we can't have peace.
Also, what the hell is Josh Peck doing here ????

people are making such a big fuss about this but like hey let’s use our critical thinking skills !!
tommy in the show has not only his wife, maria, but their literal child as well. this version of tommy KNOWS that joel wouldn’t want him risking his whole life out there in seattle just to get revenge for him. joel would literally hate that, especially bc tommy has a kid now.
this version of tommy also takes in a much more serious role of “leader” of jackson alongside maria a little more seriously as we have seen portrayed. he’s definitely one to want to make sure jackson is well and secure before he goes off on any solo adventure, literally bc they’re still rebuilding.
yeah he didn’t run off immediately like game tommy, but that’s quite literally bc he’s got a kid now which he didn’t in the game. as well as their town got attacked and they’re still rebuilding from an attack, which also didn’t happen in the game.
y’all are watching this show KNOWING there’s gonna be differences, it’s called an adaptation for a reason !!! don’t like don’t watch it’s so simple

Tommy not leaving right away after Abby makes a lot of sense. TV Tommy has a wife, has a kid, a destroyed town, and has NO INFORMATION on the guys. In the game he was the one with Joel, but in the show Dina was with him, and it´s shown that she was holding information from him. So where would he even go?
It seems to me that he will leave, they made Ellie and Dina go first, but as soon as he realizes what they did, he will go after them, he would never let her deal with that alone.

I genuinely think Dina intended on being with Ellie after New Year's. But the attacks happened and Ellie was wounded and grieving and angry. Dina went to visit her several times in the hospital and Ellie just was focused on her possible vengeance. That, and she won't let herself believe Dina actually wants her. She doesn't want to lose her friendship and she figures Dina was just high, and that a popular, pretty girl like Dina (who is presumably straight and has been dating one of her best friends) couldn't possibly want her back. So she refuses to talk about it and Dina most likely felt super rejected, and thus went back to Jesse.
The conversation in the tent struck me as Dina getting defensive and upset because Ellie refuses to acknowledge their kiss meant anything or was good. Her petulant "I already did!" in response to Ellie saying, "Well you can just go back to Jesse!" was her lashing out.
Also Dina saying she isn't gay is not inaccurate? I've seen a lot of people pissed about that. She's bisexual and she's figuring it out. The world as we know it stopped in 2003. I'm not sure they have much in the way of progressive sexual education and social justice in post-apocalyptic Jackson.
And I did actually enjoy that we got to see another side of Seth. Obviously he said a shitty, bigoted thing and Maria had to be the one to facilitate the apology, but I do believe it was a genuine apology. And I appreciate him standing up for Ellie. It just shows that people can be multi-faceted, which is one of the biggest themes throughout this series.
So yeah, just my two cents on that. I'm enjoying the slowburn of it all.

Tommy is going through it this season, home invaded and destroyed, almost died, brother dead, inherits the feral child his brother was trauma-bonded to. I don't even think he's dealt with fact he's a communist yet let this man rest

I really think some people forgot the story is not a romance about Ellie and Dina. I love them and it is frustrating they have not given us THAT scene yet, but I kind like the slow burn. And it is realistic that Dina would be a little confused about her sexuality. I don´t think they are erasing their relationship, just making it a little different, because they have the espace to explore that now. But again, that´s not what the story is about, and if you think the show sucks just because of that - when there is actually a lot of other things to criticise - then the problem is you

I'm about to piss off the ENTIRE TLOU fandom but I'm SO past the point of caring. Bella Ramsey is a more accurate portrayal of a 19 year old not only in their mannerisms but THEIR LOOKS.
"They don't look mature enough" that's because Ashley Johnson was in her mid 30's playing a 19 year old, and in the game, Ellie's face Especially still carries that. AFAB people Especially don't magically change their facial structure from 14-19 unless they had work done. you don't start seeing that happen till your mid-late 20's.
You don't look OR act like "a mature adult" when you're 19, it just doesn't happen. so expecting this (even from a fictional character) is still rather bizzar to me. and saying shit like "she's being too goofy" here when we've gotten basically No clips of her after she loses Joel is also a null in void argument. Even in the game before she loses Joel, Ellie's particularly monotone; but if they're going about this the way i think they're going to, then the stark contrast between her being goofy and the unbridled rage would actually be an Improvement from the game.
and I straight up can't tell if it's been That long since people have played TLOU2, or if they're just being Purposefully obtuse because of their hate boner for Bella as to why they're acting like Ellie's mad at Joel for no reason whatsoever (this isn't towards people who haven't touched the games and don't know the story, this is towards people who know and are still whining like little crybabies about everything)
"Should have recasted like in HOD" so THAT doesn't work either because for Rhaenyra they're going from 15 to like 32. from a teen to an ACTUAL adult, not a Young adult. 5 and 15 years apart are Very Much not the same thing here.
And it really seems that my fellow lesbians have Also been perpetuating the "Bella isn't "conventionally attractive enough" for me to sexualize" to which i expected better from you guys, honestly.
"we're allowed to nitpick" no it sounds like you're crying because you didn't get your way, it What reality would they have recasted Bella as Ellie? would you be complaining less if we waited another 10 years for Bella to be in their 30's and Then you'd stop complaining about them looking so young? probably not, because Bella doesn't fit conventional beauty standards.
And if I'm going to be Remotely honest, I'd rather have someone who can Act the part rather than someone who looks "close enough" but can't act for shit, which is what I'm seeing with all these tiktok "recast suggestions"
With that, I think I've yapped enough, and am going to try and weasel my way out of enemy territory and find Bella Ellie edits 'till next Sun. thank you for your time.
