Welcome to the official page of SU!Deltaswap! 

In this take on Deltarune mixed with Underswap, we follow Asriel’s and Lancer’s journey through the Dark World. Along the way, they meet the darkners Risk and Susie.

I’m planning on releasing both sprites and regular art related to the AU. Also, until the release of the rest of Deltarune, I’m sticking to Chapter 1.

Big List of All the Major Swaps:

Kris and Ralsei

Asriel takes the role of the Player Character and protagonist. Still a fluffy boy with glasses and a scarf. Is still the party’s mage, can either use magic or ACT. His Light World outfit looks much more like Undertale’s Asriel, while his Dark World appearance looks like Ralsei.

Risk takes the role of the Dark Prince and the second member to join the party. They are still blue, but their shoulder cape is now a full length cape! They are still a knight, but brews potions to heal the party.

Susie and Lancer

Lancer takes the role of the Bully and lives in Hometown with his dad. In the Light World, he wears a blue hoodie with a spade on it. In the Dark World, he wields a shovel. Yep.

Susie takes the role of the Jack and is the initial antagonist. Much more hostile than Lancer normally is. Of course, she and Lancer are going to team up later.

Rouxls Kaard and Chaos King

King Kaard takes the role of King and is the primary antagonist of Chapter 1. Rules from Kaard Castle and attacks using all suits, similar to Jevil. Why? Well, he makes the rouxls.

Chaos Spade takes the role of the Duke and the second vendor. Upon their first meeting, both Spade and Lancer were visually surprised by their similar appearances. Instead of puzzles, the Spade makes deadly traps. Unfortunately for him, most don’t work as intended. Initially dislikes the party, but eventually warms up with the presence of Lancer. Lancer seems to fear him however,,,

Jevil and Seam

Jevil takes the role of the Magician. Jevil was the former Court Jester, and was good friends with the Court Magician. One day, the Magician met a strange someone, who revealed the futility of their world. Jevil was forced to lock his friend away, and his philosophy on life since then has been: “It doesn’t really matter”.

Seam takes the role of the Fool and the secret boss. Seam was locked away by his friend Jevil due to their madness. Seam’s nihilism lead to them down a path of simply playing with others, just to see what would happen.

Hometown Characters

Asgore lives in a rather dirty house at the north end of Hometown. Both Asgore and Toriel alternate taking care of Asriel and formerly Kris. Asgore barely scraps by with his teaching job and lives in relative poverty. Drives Asriel to school in his truck at the beginning.

Toriel owns a small neatly-kept bakery in Hometown called Pie Queen. There she sells a variety of baked goods, but her most popular is her butterscotch-cinnamon pie. Toriel and Asriel live in the upper floor of the Bakery, where on a large table are a collection of pies arranged in a rainbow...

Undyne is one of two teachers at Hometown’s school, the other being Asgore. She often shows off science experiments to the class, with most ending rather explosively. 

Alphys is Hometown’s chief of police. Despite this, she isn’t very imposing or confident. She can be found in the ending nervously giving someone a parking ticket.

Papyrus is the owner of a grocery store, which according to him used to be a bakery. He moved here recently with his brother, who is hanging out in their house next door. Upon interacting with the door, Asriel hears a song which he recognizes from an old webcomic. Or was it a ROM-hack? What was it’s name again? Mega Lasagna or something.

Noelle is a student in Undyne’s classroom. She initially meekly argues with Berdly that she was his partner. They soon compromise on a group of three and welcome Asriel before Lancer enters the room.

Berdly is the sarcastic, arrogant self-proclaimed “smartest student”. Would rather be partnered to Asriel than Noelle, and asks Undyne to let him change partners. Both Asriel and Noelle object to this, and Berdly eventually settles on a group of three.
