Please support building a meditation center in Mizoram, India

Dear Dharma friends,

It is said that only in selfless giving, and by being generous, that we are able to free our minds. The subject of this letter presents just such an opportunity and it is for the most worthy of causes-to support a place of worship and cultivation of mind, at Aryagiri Hill situated near Indo-Bangladesh Border in southern Mizoram, India.

In so doing through your generous support make manifest the words of the most basic Buddhist prayer, to support the teachings of the Vipassana Meditation, the remembrance of the Buddha, and the followers of the Buddha.

Establishment and construction of a Vipassana Retreat Meditation Center at this remote areas will serve the diverse spiritual needs of all Micro minority Chakma Buddhists and non-Buddhists with warmth and spiritual openness. It will also serve as a center to teach and practice the techniques of meditation for the purpose of spiritual development.

Dear friends, Starting with a beautiful chinese proverb, A child without education is like a bird without wings. Our greatest natural resources are the minds of our children.

I believe the purpose of education is to make minds and not careers & when it comes to being an architect of change, I don't know of any more effective blueprint than education.

As education is the most powerful weapon that can change our society and the world. The first step towards change is awareness. The second is acceptance & the final step is action.

The Mahabodhi Education Project (a buddhism charity project) is doing exceptional work in this field. I am thankful to the most kind hearted sponsors of our less fortunate child, as through it I got this opportunity to send many underprivileged children to school last year in the academic session of 2018-2019 a part of this noble initiative. It was a huge effort on your part....so be it.... it's better than doing nothing. further."

Dear Sir & Madam, I am very glad and excited to be connected with you through this media, from a remote Village, Tuichawng in Lunglei District Mizoram, India.

Our school, Mahabodhi Residential School, has been working for strengthening the underprivileged indigenous minority Chakma children in Tuichawng areas. We have been working with these children for the past 3 years. We provide food, clothes, and quality education to these ­­children.

Our hope is to bring confidence and a sense of security to abandoned children. Our programs and clothing/necessities bring comfort. Their potential to be productive in the society and succeed is nurtured here.

We are always in need of donations for clothing, shoes, daily hygienic necessities. Monetary gifts are always welcomed.
