You have to come to terms that you chose the worst guy to simp for from this anime. Sakusa is an asshole, the only thing about him is that he’s pretty.

Accept it.

Sakusa isn’t an easy person to love.

He’s difficult, stubborn, his walls are sky high, he’s picky down to every last detail, and he never admits he’s wrong.

No, he’s not easy to love, but he’s worth the effort.

His heart burns with passion that’s raw, that’s so pure and runs so deep, the dig to the core never ends. He loves so endlessly, with unfiltered promises of something that lasts beyond forever.

He pays attention to every last detail, reads in between the finest of prints, his mind is always filled with you, from the bottom to the top, up to the very brim. His eyes miss nothing, and his intuition has honed itself to map you out in every way.

UGH I LOVE HIM

[11:37 P.M.]

“Can I sleep now?” His head lies flat on your shoulder while he fiddles with your fingers in his larger hands, his silent sighs dissipating in the cool air.

“Not yet,” you press, massaging his scalp and twirling your fingers through his hair. A hand of his drops to your thighs, a tiny squeeze jolts your nerves before he rubs the fabric that hugs it, creating tingles that arise underneath. “Wait a little longer, okay, Baby?”

“How much longer,” he groans.

“Uhm,” you drag, picking up your phone and clicking the power button before returning it beside your leg on the couch, “about twenty-three minutes.” He sighs louder this time, patting your thigh before lifting his head off your shoulder and pushing himself up. “Wait, Hajime, don’t leave yet,” you adjure while grabbing his wrist. “It’s only twenty-three minutes, I promise to let you sleep in late tomorrow, please?” Your pleading eyes make him roll his own, huffing when he plops himself lazily on the couch again.

“Fine,” he mumbles, letting his head fall to your lap. “Only twenty-three-”

“Twenty-two, now.”

“Twenty-two minutes. Then we’re going to sleep, okay?”

“Of course, Baby.” Your fingers twiddle strands of his tufts of hair with his hand finding your leg once again.

Twenty-one minutes have passed. Your eyes stayed glued to the clock. The second the time changes to midnight your head dips to his ear. “Happy birthday, Hajime,” you whisper, connecting your lips to his sharp jawline and pecking his cheek.

You weren’t surprised to find him already asleep, his tiny snores telling you just that. You chuckle to yourself, carrying his head off your lap and placing a pillow under. It takes you about fifteen seconds to grab a blanket from your shared bed, draping it over his frame before climbing in yourself. You thread your legs with his as his head unintentionally nudges in your chest and his arms wrap around your waist subconsciously.

“Happy birthday,” you mutter one more time before letting yourself lean into him and letting your mind go dormant in his grasp. Hopefully, you’ll be here again for another one.

The first day of classes ended and Mayumi started the short walk to the yearbook clubroom. She was excited to meet the new teacher advisor since Mrs. Yamato retired last year. Getting closer to the club room, Mayumi could see the group of students talking among themselves while waiting outside the door. 

“Hey!” “Mayumi! Are you excited to see who the new teacher is?! I know I am!” Yumiko said with her usual enthusiasm. “Loud as always huh, Yumiko,” Akemi said with a small laugh. “Shut up.” 

Mayumi laughed, happy to be with her best friends. Yumiko Sato has always been hyper and overly talkative while Akemi Mori was more reserved but, Mayumi believed that’s why their friendship worked so well. “Someone told me it’s a whole new teacher that started this year but, she teaches third years so, I don’t know who it is,” Mayumi said while looking over at the group of boys from the yearbook club. “Don’t even look at him,” Akemi said as she saw that Mayumi was staring at one particular boy within the group. “I know I shouldn’t, but I feel like I need to know why. I feel like I at least deserve that” sighing, Mayumi looked away before he could look up and see her looking his way. Eiji Nomura was Mayumi’s boyfriend during her first year but during the time between the end of their first and the beginning of their second year, he completely ignored her and made no effort to see her or talk to her. After a couple of weeks of moping, Akemi and Yumi convinced Mayumi that he wasn’t worth it and she should let him go.

It was easier said than done.

“Hi everyone sorry to keep you waiting, I’m Ms.Aoki your new yearbook club advisor. Please come in and take a seat.” Ms.Aoki was rather young, she was probably still pretty new to being a teacher too.

One of the biggest perks of being in the yearbook club was that they had the biggest club room, it was practically the size of a typical classroom. Mayumi, Akemi, and Yumiko sat down at a table in the middle of the class, just like they did the year before. “I was able to talk to your teacher from last year to see how she ran things, I will make a couple of changes so if I could have your attention, I would like to go over them now.” Ms.Aoki said while standing in front of the tables with a couple of papers in her hand.

After about 20 minutes of Ms.Aoki going over how she was planning on running the yearbook club, she told the students that she was going to assign roles to each student. “At the end of the year last year, Mrs.Yamato made you all fill out a form on if you’d like to be an editor, photographer, photography editor, layout editor, and other roles. I took these all into consideration and assigned you to the section of the yearbook you will be covering, I put it all on this paper that I’ll hand out now.” Ms.Aoki passed the paper to the student closet to her and she took a seat while she waited for everyone to see what role they got.

“I got the main editor. What did you two get?” Akemi asked while passing the paper to the next table.

“I got a photographer for the girls' basketball club, what about you Mayumi?” Yumiko asked.

“Photographer for the boys' volleyball club”

“Oooh, that means you have to spend a lot of time with them,” Yumiko said while wiggling her eyebrows. Akemi smiled before adding on to Yumiko’s teasing, “oh yeah, everywhere you look it’s going to be boys boys boys”. “Well it’s not like it’s a bad thing, I’ve seen the boys in the club once while waiting for Ennoshita and they were pretty cute. Especially the third years” Mayumi smiled at her friends.

“So, since you have all seen what you’ve been assigned. I would like you all to get with your groups. Photographers, I will go speak to you all in a bit.”

While Akemi walked over to the editors, Yumiko and Mayumi went with the rest of the photographers. Ms.Aoki walked up to the group and smiled at all of them. “I’m sure you’ve all realized that you’ve been assigned a specific thing to photograph, some of you got clubs, student body, the staff, events, or other things. If you got a club to photograph, I want you guys to go and introduce yourself to the club and then you can come back here or you can go home. Tomorrow we’ll go over things in more detail, I just wanted to get introductions out of the way.” Nodding, Mayumi looked over at Yumiko. “We should go tell Akemi that we’ll meet at the school entrance to walk home together”. “How do I even walk in, that sounds so awkward!” Mayumi laughed while walking towards the gyms with Yumiko. “Just go in and be like hi boys! I’m Mayumi and I’ll be your pretty photographer for this year, try not to fall in love”. Lightly punching Yumiko’s arm, Mayumi laughed while shaking her head. “I will say anything but that. This is the girls' basketball gym, I’ll see you later Yumi!” She said while continuing her walk to the boys' volleyball gym.
