This is one of those heart wrenching moments where it hits me all over again that my boy is no longer with me. Here we have displayed in these photos are Luci coming towards me for pets while I tried to sneak capture as per yooj her many hilarious ways of sitting. She is quite funny without meaning to. Esp since she tries so hard to be prissy and commandeering. I of course oblige her and in seeing this interaction, Harvey-girl comes towards us wanting in on the love-fest. They know I have been sad and withdrawn so for any chance to get interaction with their human companion that they have to depend on so much is always welcome. Luci quickly turns around and goes towards PHD (Princess Harvey Dent) and puts up a paw and cocks her head to the side as if to say, “You always bogart the attention and I let you, let me have this one on one time.” PHD obliges but puts her ears back as if to say fine bish,only cuz I love and respect you even though you make no sense. At this moment, PJN would have gone and sat between them as if to say, “No bickering.” In his stoic and kind but assertive way. Moments like this are always when it hits me like a Mac truck (such a generic metaphor. Haha) that my little guy is no longer here and waves and waves of grief wash over me reminding me of every little thing of him. The way he smelled, his little trot as he went from one place to the other (he didn’t slink around the way some cats do!), his kindness, his quiet pride, his baby vampire teeth, the way his eyes saw to the depths of my soul, etc. I could go on and on. I don’t even go to bed anymore bc he and I always snuggled together. I would hurry and arrange my blankets on me the way my ocdness dictated before PJN jumped up so as not to trip him up and I would always pat Uni (my unicorn I sleep with that is from the despicable me movie) and he could come straight over and make biscuits on him and then settle in to sleep with me. We had many little routines that evolved over time but this was our most recent and favorite. My #JCCFamily made a post to help me raise funds to help me assist my boy over the #RainbowBridge. I hurt so bad and feel so sick at the thought of his stoic face and kind soul not being a presence in my home anymore but it’s not about me. Jacques needs this and I have to do what’s best for him despite my inner self kicking and throwing a tantrum in protest. Since, he has battled many health issues including CKD and despite countless vet visits and medication, his health recently took a bad turn.💔 With a heavy, heavy heart Su Jung has made the humane and incredibly difficult decision of in home euthanasia tomorrow afternoon.😞 Time with our loved ones will never feel long enough when we are forced to say goodbye. My heart hurts for these two and while nothing will make this any easier, I’m hoping that the Java Cats community can join together and help alleviate the $500 home euthanasia and cremation service prices. Meowm here. We’re at WellPet Humane bc I believe he has an abscess in his teeth. I Freaked out all day yesterday bc of the swollenness on the right side of Jacques’s face and had to stalk a couple of gf’s who do a lot of rescue work for advice. Bc our vet is at a conference, this clinic was suggested to me for being reasonable in price but awesome in the compassion dept. Ding ding....right up our needs alley. Bc of the myriad of health issues that JN has, there is only so much we can do for him concerning his teeth but as my gf suggested, you can’t put a price on piece of mind so here we are trying to get any advice, additional info or plans of attack concerning the course of treatment that we can to help ease his pain and symptoms. Upon first opening my eyes this am, I get the news that one of my dearest friends has passed at just 40 y/o. This man is the epitome of strength, wisdom, loyalty and an integrity of spirit that is awe inspiring. He was there for me during some good and bad times alike and as he has done for so many of his friends, accepted them just the way they are. Seth, hold us a seat on the other side.
