i recently found sechskies ❤️ are there things i should know? idk a lot about the members and if there was anything you could tell me (inside jokes / ships / etc) that would be nice~ you are one of the only sechskies blogs i could find~

hi!!! okay so since i myself have been a yellkie for literally like 10 days (even though i’ve known about jekki for years lmao) so this whole thing might not be completely accurate but i’ll try to fact check everything kjsdhkas @taehour​ pls correct me if something is wrong, or add things if i missed them, you’re pretty much the only sechskies stan i talked to kjshadka (where is everybody???)

okay so, imma try and make this like a short but possibly not so short guide to Sechskies :D

Sechskies means, or at least should mean, 6 crystals in German, but kies apparently means gravel. There are 6 members but 1 is inactive (Ko Jiyong, we’ll get to that), and they are divided into two units, Blackkies and Whitekies, for no particular reason other than concept™ lol

They debuted on April 15th 1997 under Daesung Entertainment, today’s DSP Media. They held a press conference on May 18th 2000, announcing their disbandment, at their prime. Here’s a post that explains what exactly happened.

Sechskies were reunited through the variety program “Infinite Challenge” in 2016. (Episodes 476, 477 and 478.) They have signed with YG Entertainment.

As a Dad - Suju Reaction

Requested by anon! I think this ended up becoming more SuJu as dads versus SuJu as single dads. I can do specific member single dad scenarios if you'd liked! Below the cut ‘cause it’s long!

Leeteuk

Leeteuk would be the panicked dad, no doubt. He'd also be one of the most loving, to a point where it's almost smothering. All he wants is for his kids to grow up safe and happy and loved. He’d be the dad to tuck his kids in until they’re begging him to stop, and even when he stops, he’ll still watch them get ready out of the corner of his eye. His kids will never get to go to bed without at least giving him a hug and saying good night. Leeteuk has a busy schedule, so he may not be able to attend every event. When he can’t, he usually sends a member without a schedule at the time to go watch and film.

Heechul

Heechul will be the take-no-shit dad. His kids will never be able to lie to him because he will see right through it and call them out. He would also be very proactive. He knows his kids may want to have wild teenage experiences, and they’re allowed to, as long as they do it safely. If Heechul knows his kid is going to a party, his phone will be in in his hand all night, ringer up to the maximum volume level. He doesn’t sleep until he knows his kid is safe and in bed, even if he has an early schedule. 

Yesung

Yesung is one of the emotional dads. He cries at every little milestone of his child’s. When his child laughs for the first time, he cries. When they walk, he cries. When they go to school, he cries. He’s another very loving dad, too. He’s the type to document everything. Yesung has a whole cabinet full of dvds of home videos of his kids. He would be the one to have a separate phone just to store videos and pictures he takes, so he’ll always have his kids with him, even when Yesung is off on tour.

Shindong

Shindong would be a very active dad. He always would want to do things with his kids, even the mundane little things. Shindong would be the type to want a routine for his kids, making sure they get up and go to bed at the same time everyday. When he's away, he always makes sure to FaceTime at the same time every night to hear all about their day.

Eunhyuk

Eunhyuk would be one of the stricter dads. He wants his kids to grow up with discipline and the ability to become extremely successful in whatever they do. Although he'd make sure his kids are disciplined, he'd really want to make sure his kids can have fun with him and enjoy their childhood. I also see Eunhyuk being the kind of dad to really try and instill confidence in his kids, and make sure they feel good about themselves and their appearance.

Donghae

Donghae is another very emotional dad. He wants his kids to know that it is okay for them to cry, no matter their age or gender. They should be able to show their emotions the way they want to, and he would definitely lead by example. Donghae would also try and be close to his children. He wants his kids to trust him, and he wants his kids to feel comfortable talking to him about anything, whether it's a crush or a friendship issue.

Siwon

Siwon is definitely a hand-on kind of dad. From a young age, he makes sure to tell his kids lots of stories and life lessons. He wants them to know the importance of giving back. Siwon's kids will have access to whatever they wish, but Siwon is going to make them earn what they want, and teach them how to get things through persistance and hard work. He would also be very affectionate towards his kids, making sure they know that with all the running around and stuff Siwon does, he does it for them and that they are what matters most to him.

Ryeowook

Ryeowook is one of the more laid back dads. He would be a little sassy and a little snarky with his kids sometimes, especially when they don't listen to him. Ryeowook would be really good at keeping his kids in check, making sure they don't get too cocky about their talents ('cause you know those kids will be talented). But, he always knows just what to say to lift his kids back up when they're feeling down.

Kyuhyun

Kyuhyun is one of the dads who is stricter than you'd expect. He'd want his kids to focus on their studies and get good grades. However, he also wants his kids to find their passion and pursue it in life. Kyuhyun's kids may not like the focus on their education when they're younger, but as they grow up, they'll realize how important it is and love their father for doing that for them. Although Kyuhyun would want his kids to be focused on their education and all that, he'd also make the time to make sure his kids are doing alright mentally, and makes sure he stays connected with them even when he's away.

Yes! My ultimate ultimate bias is Teuk! I collect everything with his face on it too! I also bias basically the rest of SuJu lol, but mainly Hyuk and Yesung.

Exo is another one of my ult groups. Suho and Sehun are tied for number one bias, I can't pick between the two! Its a super close race for everyone for the next few spots.

I really suck at picking biases, so I usually end up biasing half the group lmao so its a really long list.

Taking a Break(ish)

Hello everyone! I will be taking a short break from this blog. I’ve recently started working overnights, and I also will be on vacation in a few weeks. 

So, I’ll be taking a break from posting regularly until the week of 7/13. 

However, please please send in requests still! I will be still working on writing things. I want to take a break from posting, but not a break from writing. I’d like to build up my drafts so I always have something to post, instead of trying to finish something in a rush. Thanks for understanding!

S/O Gains Weight and Refuses Sex - Suju Reaction

A request by anon for Super Junior reacting to their S/O refusing sex because they gained weight. Sorry for the delay on this one, I just wanted to do the prompt justice. There isn’t any actual smut (just implied).

Leeteuk

Leeteuk notices that you’ve been acting differently these last few days. You’re not as touchy as usual. Although you’ll usually eagerly eat his meals, you’ve been picking at them more. He finally decides to say something when you’ve refused to have sex or even make out. When you decline and roll over to the far side of the bed, Leeteuk ends up staring up at the ceiling, trying to figure out how to approach the situation. After checking that you’re still awake, he’ll bring up how you’ve been acting differently, and ask you why. He’ll listen to everything you have to say. Leeteuk doesn’t care if he’s fit and you’re not, he loves you for who you are. He makes sure you know that you don’t need to lose weight, but if you want him to cook healthier food or exercise with you, he’s willing to do what you need.

Heechul

Heechul might not be very quick to catch on. He knows not everyone wants to have sex all the time. A few days before Heechul has to leave on a trip, you keep things PG, and he assumes you aren’t feeling up to it. A few weeks later, though, when he returns, and you aren’t all over him as usual, he understands something is up. If you’re able to have kids, Heechul’s first thought will be that you’re pregnant. Bringing this up causes you to burst into tears, asking if your weight gain is really that noticeable. Heechul ends up being confused, telling you that he didn’t even notice your weight gain. He holds you close and comforts you, talking about his own insecurities to help you feel better.

Yesung

I think Yesung would be one of the most sympathetic members because he goes through the exact same thing. He has been vocal about his insecurities, especially with his weight, so you’ve had to comfort him when he doesn’t want to have sex due to weight gain or feeling insecure. Yesung would be a little shocked when you tell him that you don’t want to have sex because you gained some weight. He would think about everything you had said to reassure him, and try and say that to you to help. Realizing that you both go through the same thing would help you two feel more connected. 

Shindong

Another member who has had struggles with weight, but Shindong would react similar to Yesung in some ways, differently in others. He too would be shocked, but also upset. Shindong’s weight has fluctuated over the years, and you’ve loved him and his body through all of it, so why wouldn’t he love you and yours? He understands how it feels to be insecure about your body, so he would tell you that although he loves your body no matter how it looks or how much it weighs, if you aren’t comfortable being intimate, then he will never pressure you into it. 

Eunhyuk

Eunhyuk seems to be quite perceptive. He’s another member who would notice that you’ve been acting differently. He’ll notice that you’re wearing looser fitting clothing, and shying away from his touch. It’s not hard for Eunhyuk to see that two plus two equals four. He knows as soon as he rests a hand on your leg that you’ll push it away, and that when he asks for an answer, you’ll shut down. He lays next to you for a moment in silence, then begins to whisper, telling you about his insecurities, about how they sometimes haunt him, but he trusts that you love him for who he is. When your shoulders begin to shake, and you turn back toward him, Eunhyuk tells you that everything will be alright. 

Donghae

Donghae is sensitive, but he can be oblivious at times. You keep making excuses to not have sex, and to avoid his touch. He doesn’t suspect anything right away. After a few weeks of this, though, he’s just drinking coffee with Yesung, talking about relationships, when he drops his cup out of shock. He’s put two and two together, and he feels his heart break a little bit in the cafe. You don’t want to be close to him because you’re insecure about your weight. Donghae would mumble an excuse and an apology to Yesung and rush to wherever you are. He’d wrap his arms around you, not letting go, repeating how much he loves you and how sorry he is for not seeing it sooner. 

Siwon

Siwon seems like another member who would be slow on the uptake. He just thought you were trying to spice things up a little when you would suggest he wear a blindfold during sex, or be tied up so he can’t caress your skin. When you start to decline sex altogether, though, he knows something is up. You lay next to him on the bed, curled away from him, as he begins to speak. He tells you that he loves you, but he’s concerned and worried. Siwon just wants you to tell him what’s going on, so he can help you. He lets his promise sit for a moment, then reaches out his hand, which you take with a sniffle. 

Ryeowook

Ryeowook seems like a very perceptive member. He’s quick to realize that you’re avoiding him, hiding your feelings about something. He’d try and tell you he loves you more often, dropping hints that you can talk to him about anything. But after a few days of no results, no change, he can’t wait. Ryeowook will sit you down and ask you why you won’t have sex with him, why you don’t want him to touch you. He begs you to let him help you, because he can’t stand seeing you in pain.

Kyuhyun

Kyuhyun would get offended after a few nights of refusing sex. He’d lie awake, wondering what he did to upset you, why you didn’t want to have sex with him. He’d be moody the next few days, until one of his hyungs asks him what’s wrong. He blurt out the whole story, almost crying from frustration. When Yesung brings up that maybe you feel like he wouldn’t want to have sex with you, his heart drops to the floor. Feeling like an asshole, he apologizes to you that night, and asks you what’s going on. He assures you that he loves you and is attracted to you no matter what.

in which the Dreamies are obsessed with you, and Chenle still isn’t sure how to feel about it.

Chenle had been acting a little off these last few weeks, and I couldn’t imagine why. He didn’t have a comeback to prepare for, everyone was healthy, so there was no obvious cause I could point to. I just didn’t know what to do. Hopefully surprising him at the dorm with food would help. 

My arms were full of food as I tried to sneak into the dorm. My plan failed as Renjun and Jaemin spotted me, yelling my name and rushing toward me. “You brought food, you’re the best!” Renjun called out.

I smiled as the boys took the food from me, Haechan, Mark, and Jeno coming into the room. “Where’s Chenle? And Jisung?” I asked.

“Oh, they’re filming,” Jaemin said as he laid out the food on the table. “They’ll be back pretty soon,” Mark added, looking at what I brought. 

Haechan walked over to hug me, thanking me for the food. At that moment, Chenle and Jisung walked in. I grinned, and was about to call out to Chenle, but he just turned and went to his room. “You brought food? Thanks,” Jisung said as he walked to the dining room.

I followed Chenle to his room, and he shut the door as I reached it. “Chenle, can I come in?” I asked as I knocked. 

“I’m sick,” he said. “Just go home, or hang out with the others.” I tried the door knob, but it was locked. 

“Okay...Call me later,” I said, leaving with tears in my eyes. 

At home, I sat by the window on my phone, listening to the rain and waiting for his call. But it didn’t come. 

Hours later, I woke up to knocking on my front door. I checked my phone as I walked over to it, sadly seeing nothing from Chenle...until I opened the door. 

A dripping wet Chenle stood in front of me. “Oh my god, come in,” I said, stepping back. “Let me get you a towel.” I rushed to grab a towel, slightly nervous. Chenle never showed up unannounced.

With shaky hands, I draped a towel over Chenle’s shoulders. His wet hand grabbed my chin, forcing me to look into his eyes. “I’m sorry,” he said, leaning forward to press a soft kiss to my lips. 

“For?”

He sighed. “Everything. Being jealous of your relationship with the other members, and not talking to you about it. I should have trusted you more.”

“Is that why you’ve been quiet lately?” I asked.

Chenle nodded.

I hugged him tightly, not caring about his wet clothes. “I wish you brought it up sooner, but I’m glad you’re feeling better about it. Let’s get you some dry clothes and some food.”

He grinned at me, and I felt my heart flutter, even after all this time. “Sounds like a plan, babe.”

Requested by anon! Now I admit, I’m not an expert on variety shows, so most of these will just be vague descriptions of variety show lol. Again, below the cut ‘cause it’s long.

Leeteuk

Leeteuk is one of the best members at keeping his cool. He’d see that you’re appearing on the show, and would feel a little nervous, but his priority is being the best MC for the viewers. If he had never been on a show with you before, or knew this was your first time on this show, he’d try and catch you before hand. Leeteuk would make sure you felt comfortable, especially if you were a rookie idol, cracking jokes and telling funny stories about the other MCs and Super Junior’s first variety experiences. If you had been an idol for a while, he would use it as a chance to get to know you better and tease you for not being on one of his shows before. After the show, Leeteuk would come congratulate you, thank you for coming, and maybe ask you out. 

Heechul

Heechul is a MESS. As soon as he finds out you’ll be on Knowing Brothers, he’ll try and hide his red ears. The night before, he can’t even sleep, he’s so nervous. Heechul is about as transparent as their Fanship photocards, so everyone else knows he’s got a little crush. If you think they aren’t gonna tease the crap out of him, you’re wrong. Heechul will be blushy and nervous during most of the filming. By the end of the show, you would have figured out what’s going on. Once filming ends, you would go over to ask you out, and Heechul would accept with a huge smile on his face.

Yesung

Yesung was promoting Pink Magic around the same time you were promoting your latest work. He knew there was a chance you two might be on the same show, but that didn’t stop him from freaking out internally when his manager told him. At home, he would be practicing what he wanted to say to you. He would reach out to Leeteuk and Heechul and beg them to help him with his variety skills (as long as they didn’t tell the other members). Before the filming, he would approach you and ask about common interests. When he found out you liked coffee, he would invite you to a nearby cafe after the shoot. 

Shindong

Shindong is another fairly level-headed member. He'd have a small smile on his face when he found out you two would be on the same talent swapping competition show. Shindong would teach you to dance like him, and you would teach him to sing like you. Over the course of the show, he'd use his charms to win you over.  He wouldn't ask you out until the show was over, just in case you declined. After the finale, where you two won, he would pull you aside and tell you that he loved working with you, and wanted to continue your friendship to something more.

*side note, Shindong's singing voice? What an angel*

Eunhyuk

Eunhyuk thinks he's acting cool and collected when he hears you'll be on Weekly Idol, but spoiler alert, he's not. His blush is easy to see.  Kwanghee confronts Eunhyuk about it but he just plays dumb. Eunhyuk, like Leeteuk, tries to make you as comfortable as possible when you come on the show. He'll make jokes about being a variety show killer to ease your nerves. After the show, he would give you his contact information "in case you need anything" as a way to get your number so he can talk to you more.

Donghae

A blushy, whiny baby. As soon as he hears that he's on the same show as you, he's going to his members and his managers, begging them for help. It's all he can talk about in the weeks preceding filming. Shindong and Eunhyuk get so fed up, they arrange for you two to meet a few days before, because Donghae is so nervous. When you actually film the show, it goes super well because of how you already know each other (and how you're already dating).

Siwon

Siwon is excited to hear that you’re his costar in his latest drama. He has a big crush on you due to your acting ability and can’t wait to see it in action. If your characters are romantic interests, Siwon will definitely bring flowers to break the ice. He’s definitely going to ask you to hang out with him off set so the two of you can get to know each other and build up chemistry “for the show”. As the two of you get closer, he’d find himself falling more in love with you. Once the show is filmed and promotions for it are over, Siwon would ask you out for real. 

Ryeowook

Ryeowook ends up being more hyper than usual when he realizes that he and you will be on the same show. He reaches out to a mutual friend of yours to find out your favorite kind of coffee, and makes sure to bring it to you. Ryeowook would give you a tour of the studio beforehand, telling you about the best places to get away from everyone and funny stories from on set. You end up matching his energy level, becoming hyper too, to make for a very energetic shoot. The other guests can’t help but comment on how similar you two are, and Ryeowook can’t hide his smile every time they say it.

Kyuhyun

Kyuhyun is the type to seem completely unaffected. When he, Mino, Jaehyun, and PO walk in to find out you’re the newest cast member, the editors are a little disappointed in his lack of reaction. He greets you in a friendly manner, but doesn’t have the excitement the others (especially Mino) has. Later on, Hodong brings it up, suggesting that Kyuhyun doesn’t seem to care because he has a crush on you. Cue flustered, blushing Kyu, frantically denying it. You’ll tease Kyuhyun about it, saying you’d rather he like you too much than not like you at all. After filming, you’d approach him and make sure he’s alright, with no hard feelings after your teasing. A close friendship (and eventually relationship) would soon develop.

The lights in my room were all turned off. A half drank glass of water was next to my bed, my shirt was off, and I wasn’t on my phone. But nothing I did made my massive migraine go away. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t sleep without Yesung.

Two hours later, I heard him open the door and come in quietly. Without turning the lights on, he walked over to me. “I’m still awake,” I whispered. “It hurts.”

“When’s the last time you took medicine?” He murmured.

“An hour ago.”

Yesung nodded. “Okay, roll over.”

I did as he asked, letting him straddle my waist so he could massage my neck and shoulders. His hands were warm and soft, and the perfect distraction from my pain. “I love you,” I mumbled into the pillow, feeling most of the pain melt away.

A few minutes later, he stripped off his shirt and cuddled close to me. “I love you, too,” he said, pressing a kiss to my cheek. “Now sleep.”
