"Not your choice. Besides, when do I use 'em? Only in Emergencies. Except that one time I went to a Family Vacation to Maui." She remembered that trip, it was the same year that she found Dakota within her neighborhood, more like in her back yard.
She had been thinking during this order to finally have him live with her. He had keys, an alarm code, and is listed on her account for it as well. Aside from having to go back to his place. It just made sense to her at this point. "I was wondering, maybe you could move in with me. It's 100% your choice."
The orderly chuckle a bit when they reached the SUV. "Would you need help getting him in?" Aria shook her head no, she'll managed. Not like she hasn't carried men nearly double her size prior. It's not her first rodeo regarding this, probably won't be there last. A cheeky grin found it way across her lips.
"Ready to fully leave this behind?" She asked helping him into her SUV. She was very glad that he was being released. It would be easier to keep an eye on him, plus her home was his home. "Time to get you some where much more welcoming place." Plus there was a live weighted blanket waiting for him.

Tristan had felt quite a significant amount of relief when he heard he could leave. Especially after such a dangerous incident. Unfortunately, his heart arrythmia was still there but it wasn't too bad thankfully. His brain activity also stabilized but he would still need to take medication to keep it that way.
He didn't even want to think about all the medication he needs to take now. Fuck, sure he was pushing his fifties but this felt a little too damn much.
Thank goodness he couldn't keep his mind focused on these thoughts for long even if he wanted to. His cognitive side needed some work as well. Of course, he had a visit from some therapist they had provided, and he was not a fan.
Another thing he absolutely hated, was being pushed around in a fucking wheelchair. He had no choice, if he had, he would be walking out no matter how damn slow. That was sadly not allowed because he was still weak, and his body still needed to recover.
Probably had something to do with the bleeding on the brain and massive seizure. Oh, not to mention the brain surgery that had followed. Fuck.
Despite being happy about being discharged, he still looked a little grumpy as he got wheeled out but that quickly changed when he saw his darling. A smile immediately on his face as he straightened up in the chair a little more.
"Hey, beautiful." Tristan tried to push himself up and out but a hand on his shoulder stopped him, which made him clench his teeth and give a side eye. Jason or James...or something was his name. His memory was still a little out of whack.

Cowboy stayed in the hospital for at least a few weeks after his seizure. During the time, Aria was getting all the initial paperwork submitted for his medical leave and her vacation. She had decided that he will stay at her house as it was a bit more accessible friendly. The reasoning behind this was that her family visits from time to time, some don't have a lot of mobility. While she did not have to child proof her house, she did have to move a few things around.
Initially, the company provided a therapist (which Aria was concerned about) to handle the mental side. She took a recommendation from Rip and Sully regarding a Physical Therapist, Steven Hackett. She heard that name during her service, considering that he got two glowing recommendations she went with it. If the company appointed therapist doesn't work out, she had a friend in mind. Her friend was a bit on weird side when she wasn't working.
Now it was time to wrangle up the Cowboy, as it was his discharge date. Aria had everything ready. While it is customary that he would be wheeled out, she had the liberty of getting another wheelchair set up. Pulling into the pick up lane of the entrance, getting out of her SUV. She had called the hospital earlier to get everything set up. He was set up to wheeled out to her. She was leaning against her SUV. "Hello Cowboy."
His smile widened slightly when she returned his love. He loved this woman so much. She was the one that kept him standing, the one that made him overcome impossible odds. He was sure she would drag his ass through whatever recovery he had ahead.
Tristan managed to get a third finger to apply slightly more pressure on her hand, then a fourth.
As usual, no matter the state he was in... he was still himself, which was another positive sign, but he knew she was right. Didn't stop him from attempting to joke. "...be up...running...soon." He wished. There was no way of knowing when he would be up again.
Finally, he managed to get his whole hand to hold hers. Still not able to squeeze much but it was at least something. "...look tired." He managed to say. If he could, he would have moved to the side and told her to get on and snooze but that was obviously not going to happen.
His head was throbbing again, and he was starting to lose the battle to stay awake, but he didn't want to sleep. She was there with him. The fear of closing his eyes and not waking up again was there.

It had taken her mind a few to register that he talked and said he loved her. A smile began to form on her lips especially when a small one is forming on his. She felt the two fingers move. "Love you too, cowboy."
Now came the fun part, he will be officially on Medical Leave after these papers go in and she'll be on vacation. "Gonna need you to take it easy for a while." Her tone came out softly, which is going to be fun for him. He'll probably feel bad that she is using her PTO, which is too damn bad she's gonna use it.
She had made up for mind when they reconnected, she will take care of him no matter what.
She sat next to his bed, a small clipboard in her hand as she was filling out a few forms. Initially, she had put in for vacation for herself and was currently working on his medical documentation. She liked to have the physical copy of the paperwork then have just digital only.
Briefly looking over to the bed, she saw the flutter of his eyes. Moving the paperwork off the side, so she could get up to move to stand at the side of the bed. The sounds of the machine did smoothe her as the beep ment he is still alive.
"Hey Cowboy" a hand reached out to hold his.

The EMTs response time (15 minutes) was quick but still had taken a little bit of delay. Aria gently held her fingers on his wrist as feel the rapid pulse. 'Not good' She mentally cursed, 'Fuck, not him.' As soon as the EMTs got up there. One of them had managed to take a look at her and it clicked.
A pair of gentle hands had moved her away from Tristan. As much as she wanted to fight, "Ma'am, we need to do our job. You can still be here with him." A southern draw caught her off guard. She couldn't place where she heard it as her mind was not fully focused.
She had called it in as soon as she found him, gave them all the details she knew. She did not know how long he had been.

She had called it in as soon as she found him, gave them all the details she knew. She did not know how long he had been.
The first time it went to voice-mail, Aria shrugged it off but with a little voice in her head to call again in 3 minutes. They had a early lunch date planned.
When 3 mintues past, she called again. Once more it went to voice mail. The little voice in her head grew more and more persistent. It wasn't like him to miss two calls in a row. She dared not to call a third time, making a mad dash towards his residence. The small restaurant was close to it, making great time. Getting to the front door, whipping out her copy of his house key.
Swiftly glancing around and feeling a sense of dread. Something had happened to him. Not an assault from another but from his own body. Making her way around to the his bedroom then to the bathroom. Where she found him, her fingers swiftly dialed 911.
After providing all the necessary information. She was quick to try to get him in a more comfortable position.
