First try at drawing! The right eyebrow and eyelash are a bit funky, and the shading was a challenge, but overall I'm happy. Now, to do it again. *throws down eraser* Another!

The 90-day challenge: by the end of summer break, produce an entire, polished and colored, 8.5"x11" page of manga-style drawing. For a person who just barely discovered the stick figure and draws laughable emoticons, this is a tall order. And, in order to keep me on track via virtual butt-kicking, I will be posting updates on my progress daily. (Haha, yeah right.) (No, I mean it!)
The text I am starting with is Mastering Manga 2: Level Up with Mark Crilley, by - who would guess - Mark Crilley and published by IMPACT Books. I hope to use Manga Studio 5 later on for coloring, but that's thinking far, far into the future. One day, perhaps.
