Mordecai and Rigby's friendship is so good because on the surface you got these two besties attached at the hip, so close that they can read each other's thoughts and would sacrifice anything for each other. Then you dig a little and see that Rigby has so little self-esteem that he did what he could to sabotage mordecai's future because in his mind, the only reason why mordecai wouldn't leave him is if he was dragged down to his level. You see that mordecai never truly valued Rigby as a person, that he like that he's such a loser because it makes him look better in comparison. That he's aware of Rigby's emotional dependency and that he takes great pleasure in using this power imbalance to feel superior. You see how pissed he was when Rigby started to develop his own support system outside of their friendship and when he stopped being Rigby's only priority. They're so co-dependent. They're so bad for each other. It's great.

Obviously I still love spova but antova is really growing on me on re-watch?

The way nova was the most concerned for antauri out of everyone except chiro, the way she's the only one to hug him for a long time upon his return, the way he trust her the most out of all of the monkeys, and how it's implied that he was the one who helped her control her temper... They might actually make the most sense as a couple out of all the monkey ships. They have complete faith in each other and low-key serve as the patriarch and matriarch of the team.

Rewatching srmthfg and I used to think this hug was uncharacteristically affectionate from nova who tend to be aggressive towards sprx... But that's because this is one of the rare time sprx is being fully sincere without hiding behind teasing and irony. He say with no draw back that he's so glad to have her in his life. The one and only time sprx is being fully honest and that alone makes nova so damn happy. The fact that the only thing separating them is their fear of being vulnerable, the fact that sprx's heavy flirting is only pushing nova away but she's drawn closer the moment sprx express his genuine love towards her they're making me sick
